This is not true. I have been and lived in French countries. You will be amazed to see 4 out of 100 persons that speak English. In Dakar you can greet someone "good morning" and they don't even know what you said. 95 % of their population speak French, and wollof same thing to many other french countries I have been.

The way your try to speak French is so cute 😂 I’m a French speaker from Côte d’Ivoire and the right way is : “je ne parle pas français “. For your next travel don’t use google translate girl it’s the worse 🤣
I was in Dakar for 3 days and the language barrier was real. So what I did was I just typed what I needed on my phone and translated it to french and then give them to read it. Most of them can read french. It was so easy that way. As for the food, I ate bread till I left. It was not even funny. I'm not good at trying new things anyways. ...and Dakar is beautiful
@@Neferfifi21 I stayed in Gambia for 5months and I didn't eat any of their food except for benechin (jollof rice). I'm really bad at trying new foods. In Nigeria, I'm igbo but I lived in the north for 10years and I can count the northern foods I eat till now. So 3 days is really short for me. I don't explore at all when it comes to food.

Like not being good at trying foods is maybe trying and not liking it but staying in a place for a very long time and not even trying....it's a bit childish to me. My mom is kinda like that but about American food lol. But she never traveled there so it's different. I hope you get over that because that's just sad..living your whole life just not trying new food
THere are two ways of saying ‘I don’t speak French’: Je ne sais pas parler français or Je parle pas français 😁 And you could say: j’ai besoin de manger for ‘i need to eat:) Moi j’ai appris le français il y a plus de cinq ans maintenant 😁 j’aime beaucoup les langues étrangères:) I actually missed your videos so much💕.
