Hey Steven! Best time to aerate a southern lawn is in the late spring or early summer. Your Bermuda grass should spread like wildfire then! Good question and thank you for watching! 👍

We have so many weeds this year in SC due to a lot of rain over the summer. They are especially thriving in our flower beds with rocks. Can we use this weed solution next spring for the prevention of weeds? This season was horrible!
If it’s in a garden that you’re eating I would avoid it. If you have a garden with flowers and shrubs you can use it. Hopefully next season you get less rain down there in SC!

@@lindadurante9482 hey Linda! There is another product called dimension that will help prevent crabgrass. You’ll have to put it down in the spring. Perhaps that is available by you? Greenview makes decently priced grass seed too!

Hi! I live in Northern Central FL, have Floratam, St Augustine sod -no seeds available. What's my best way to thicken grass in the Fall to help get rid of crabgrass? Pretty much Summer 90% here.

yeh big time crab grass in my garden ..... im in the process right now pulling them all out so next year i wont have any of the roots reappearing ..... i hope@@GarageGear

come july august they all emerge from the undergrounds in vengence all at once!!!! its crazy!!!!....i tried pulling every root out the ground and i understand if you dont get the whole root out they'll re grow next year??@@GarageGear

Hey John in step 3 of my lawn fertilizing program I put down a pre emergent that prevents crab grass from germinating. Is that what you are referring to?
@@GarageGear i am at the point of 3 weeks post tenacty. It`s all dead now do i pull it out or just scalp the lawn thatch/ scarify and overseed?
@@Supanova70 ok John. Is the dead crabgrass in wonky a few areas? If so I would just pull it all out there. If it’s all over your yard I then perhaps consider lawn thatch/scarify. Don’t make a lot of work for yourself if it’s only in little areas.👍

Flint Layfield Haha you caught me. This was definitely a fast and furious video. I had limited filming time because I was busy that day. It was super hot out and my camera kept over heating. I had to search all over the neighborhood for a decent piece of crabgrass because all of the neighbors get their lawns sprayed. Then I had to reshoot some scenes because my disk on my camera had an error. This video may have been short but it was not an easy one to film lol!
Nice in theory but you're leaving out lots of critical info:
1. Should be applied in the late afternoon/early evening. When temps are 85 Fahrenheit and above lawn/weeds close up to prevent water lose and thus cease intake.
2. Should be applied two days after and two days before mowing. Not sure why, I'm assuming this is to facilitate absorption through the weeds leaves.
3. Do NOT use dishsoap as a surfactant. It reduces the efficacy of the herbicide.
4. Crabgrass and other weeds gain immunity. You can do multiple applications of crabgrass killer and see very little results.
Unfortunately, your video is worse than most in not having the above info, but ultimately it doesn't really matter as you, George at Princess Lawn, and Lawn Care Life dude all have videos about killing crabgrass that either push new products (George is guaranteed to do this with every single video of his) or just show simple "spray this" treatments that in my experience have done very, very little for the rampant, utterly persistent crabgrass in my lawn. As much as I hate winter here in Georgia I'm looking forward to doing major seeding and preemergent treatments to my lawn with the change in seasons as all the videos talking about killing existing crabgrass have done pretty much diddly for me.

SO the choices are the DIY vinegar mix that also kills the grass and all other choices are dangerous chemicals.
Hey galkan if you out the preemergent down in the spring right before a rain storm it washes in and prevents the crab grass from coming up. Your lawn will be safe to walk on once the rain washes it in.
