Finally you achieved the impossible! To transform the misfortune with the veneer into a fortune! The ancient look of the body (and the whole guitar) is really beautiful. My full respect.
The final result is absolutely amazing didn't expected to look this beautiful brother its a beauty you turned your mistakes into a masterpiece hats off brother
@@Unchainedmaple888 I love the slash logo, that and the RG headstock are the reasons why I love Ibanez. But seeing the no-slash logo is soo refreshing, looks classy as tits
@@MilianMalivukMusic it all comes down to taste. All I have to say is that you did an outstanding job. I'm a luthier myself and seeing this kind of videos makes me want to mod my Ibanez RG. Keep on uploading quality content mate!
Great looking guitar! Can't wait to hear the comparison with the Guitarmory pickups cause I'm looking to potentially put a pair in my Kiesel eventually!
You are an unreal guitarist. it may be that I am more used to old school death metal, but some of the sounds you make I have never heard before. And nice job on the guitar as well it looks sick!
I still can't get over how sick it looks, to be fair the stock pickups don't sound half bad either! Looking forwards to the next video and new project :P
It looks great man, even with the veneer troubles. And you've inspired me to stain my neck on my Jackson and I'm even considering doing a paint job on it! Can't wait to see the next video. 👍💪
Awesome project! Love it man. Congrats! Please, can you share the original wiring diagram for Ibanez Quantum Pickups? I’ve been looking for it for a while. Thanks in advance
It needs pickup covers, but you are changing the stock pickups anyways. Darrell Braun has a video with a blind comparison for an expensive pickup and the cheapest eBay pickup- they are surprisingly close. Also, he has one for different alnico magnets for humbuckers, and comparing active and passive pickups- Lots of mythbusting. You have a Metallica sound with those amp settings- my favorite song of theirs is King Nothing.
this project was a success again, we just gotta wait for those new pickups. Also can we get a closer look in the final video? really want to see how noticeable the ding in the inlays is :D
Oh yeah. Did you have to deal with one of those damn Cor Tek 5 way switches? Almost no info on the internet on how to wire one. Looks great. Sounds good - but you play just fine already. Thanks for being up front about your failures and successes with this project.
Hard to say, I definitely spent WAY too much time sanding off the body finish, it felt like in that time I could have build a new one from scratch. This was stretched out over a couple of weeks.
This is awesome man the guitar looks and sounds fucking sick, you've done such a good job! It's definitely inspired me to do some something similar to my 7 :) One question, did hipshot not offer you a universal mounting plate for the machine heads? Or did you just want to drill them in?
I am wondering, where did you get the "Ibanez" logo sticker ? I find this project very inspiring and I might do something like this, but looking for Ibanez logo stickers ^^
bro! this is project is a massive one man! btw i love the finish and that stringy tone! any tips for that tone? i keep one failing to get that stringy sound on a clean boost high gain.
This looks amazing. I know this video is old but do you remember what stain you used on the fretboard? Thinking about doing something similar on a maple/rosewood tele neck/fretboard
I've recently started a project guitar which I changed the bridge first to hipshot bridge designed to retrofit the Gilbralter Bridges on other Ibanez guitars. I feel that this was a mistake as it is no perfectly centre, but we from our mistakes I guess!
So sick man!! What is the name of the hipshot bridge you used? And did you have to drill the holes for it? I've watched this whole series and I never saw that step
Awesome playing, awesome guitar, awesome series. I doubt it's your intention but if you ever plan to sell this guitar please let me know. Keep up the great work with your channel
@@MilianMalivukMusic great to know your going to do another project I have really enjoyed this series. If you do end up wanting to sell this please get in touch. I have always wanted a 7 strong and this is just what I have been looking for in terms of appearance
Question are you using the same bridge plate but hipshot saddles ? Sorry kinda hard to tell if it’s a hipshot just wanting to know I’m missing mine as well
Could you make a bass to match, I just got a six string spalted maple top bass kit from pitbull guitars and put in EMGs and stained it bright electric blue or turquoise.
THIS PROYECT ITS FUCKING AWESOME. FANTASTIC JOB MEN. YOUR VIDEOS ARE MUCH INTERESTING. 🤘🖐👉🇲🇽🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸💙💙💙💙 I WISH THE NEW PROYECT AT THE 8 STRINGS GUITAR...
Cool...did you get the hipshot products directly from hipshot US? I want to upgrade my RG7321 tuners and bridge but shipping from the US is very expensive (I live in Malta). Do you have any recommendations? Also what height are the posts?
Holy shit what a project, watched every single step and I am pleasantly surprised! Its sick dude good job!!
Finally you achieved the impossible! To transform the misfortune with the veneer into a fortune! The ancient look of the body (and the whole guitar) is really beautiful. My full respect.
It sounds very nice. The stock pickups are very good. Did not expect that one.
Damn those stock pickups actually sound pretty beefy and articulate, can't wait to hear the guitarmorys!
The final result is absolutely amazing didn't expected to look this beautiful brother its a beauty you turned your mistakes into a masterpiece hats off brother
Amazing job, love the no-slash ibanez logo on the headstock
I hate when Ibanez puts the slash/checkmark on the headstock

I personally hate the "check" Ibanez logo, it looks so cheap.

I think that little bit where you had to repair the veneer gives it a little character, kinda proof that it's custom

i like the marks of the glue on the top it makes it look like a rock or something , you could name this finish rock-flame Burst , Great Job man !
One of the best guitar channels from youtube. Keep working, you are amazing!

Honestly way above my expectations man, despite any setbacks, really well done!
Damn, that tone...so crisp
Nice job and it had a great tone.
