Just got mine (G variant), and been using it for a while. All I can say is im very satisfied. I can only compare it to a XLE vios since it was the car I tried learning to drive and the G variant did not disappoint. The finish of the car even if it is a daihatsu is good. if you keep the suspension and the wheels in it's stock form, then good because you retain power. Once you upgrade to 15s, everything from fuel economy to power and even the rubber band effect you mention will be hard to ignore. I still like this improved Wigo overall, it's a step up from the previous model.
I've watched many reviews on the Wigo G, but this one was far more detailed regarding the engine and overall details. I appreciate the English too haha. Money is really tight these days, so finding a decently priced car that is still reliable is important. I've owned Toyota vehicles in the past (Camry, Tundra), so I know the quality. I'm beginning to consider this car more and more. Great review!
Here are the things I would have wanted changed for the Wigo -put the dashboard of the Raize E CVT on the Wigo top variant where the digital cluster screen is in the middle and you can see your wheel direction. -retain the 180mm ground clearance. if not, least maximize it to 170mm to allow for the tires to be upgraded to RIM 15. -remove the built in dash cam. The aftermarket ones are much better. -improve the stock rearview mirror and vanity mirror on the sun guards. -place proximity sensors on the front bumper too. -improve the heat insulation a bit more -make the rear seats split 60-40 -if possible, include turning alarm and traffic alert alarm in the top variant -if possible, make the top variant engine 1200cc. -rear window defogger please Everything else is good enough for the price segment.
