I’ve been driving my 2020 Wigo TRD-S and I have not felt the 4-speed A/T lacking even when on expressway. As they say, it’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.
I like that you get a dashcam as standard in this class of car(segment first if im not mistaken)so now at this segment of the market you can have the added assurance of a dashcam. I also greatly appreciate the loud parking sensor alert, in my current car its whisper quiet almost and you cant turn it up. In some luxury cars the radio volume turns down when you put the car in reverse for added safety when backing up. Also push button start in this class is a big plus. The price is a little high but for what it has its justified. Yes I get that for a little more you can get something bigger(you could get a fully kitted out Dzire or base model Emgrand or entry level Chineese crossover for a little more) but if you want a sub compact hatch, you want a sub compact hatch.
That's just something car "enthusiasts" love to say for, IDK, street credits? But the truth is, for a large majority of "ordinary" cars. CVT is the best transmission currently.
@@Kyle-kc8cw Yes, most fuel efficient too. Early CVTs, especially in the 90s and early 00s, got some flak from carguys for their initial reliability issues and rubber band feel. But the current CVTs are indeed better than ever, especially the IVT and Lineartronic iterations.
This is actually quite a watered down version of its Malaysian counterpart: Perodua Axia. Exactly the same car, no mechanical difference whatsoever (just different badges). But the Axia is not only cheaper but gets way more tech than this does.
you cannot go wrong with a Toyota. base your purchase on your budget and needs. may I suggest choosing between Wigo and Raize. Raize is a bit bigger (subcompact SUV), has larger engine 1.2L, higher ground clearance 200mm, and gives you higher POV of the road. Wigo gives you more fuel efficiency, easier to maneuver and park like the Raize, lower parts costs and maintenance cost. hope those general pointers can help.
The concept of CVT is brilliant for keeping the engine in the peak torque curve RPM range for max power and fuel efficiency. It's the parts wearing out and ratios changing as the belts wear down that concern me. The other drawback of CVT is engine braking to a low enough speed so you're not prematurely wearing or heating up your brake rotors on down hill runs. If Toyota has a bulletproof design for CVT that addresses these few points then I'd go CVT over manual any day.
@@MigoAidan hahahaha...and here we go, labasan na yung mga assumero. Unlike you, i don't settle for a poor man's/ or budget car. So feel free to put TRD decals and Big Ass spoilers in your wigo and while you're at it, install some body kits para feel na feel mo na si Paul Walker ka sa F&F. In most brands, if the car is top of the line or an upgraded variant, the SE stands for Special Edition or Sports Edition. But if the car is mid-level or entry-level, the SE is usually Standard Equipment.
2 months Wigo 2024 G Variant Owner here! Super comfy to drive and very practical with gas consumption! Going to Point A and B consuming less money!
Estimated gas consumption boss

Do you feel too vibration or noise when driving at high speed??
Very Minimal at 80km but there’s a drag and you’ll notice the noise when you go 100+km

3:42 I remember I rented WIGO back in 2022 and I believe this push-to-start button was already implemented in this unit. So it's not an added feature.
We have the new wigo and its fun to drive!

For its price. This is a steal. Specs and looks super sulit
Which color is better po orange or red..first car ko po
If you’re not a fan of CVT. Then what transmission is the best out there?

The rear looks like an old car model, imo the 3rd gen has the best exterior design
This reviewer is straight 🔥🔥🔥
How tall are you to compare with the wigo's headroom?
He is 5'5
What a cool little hatchback, we desperately need simple & affordable cars like this in the US.

As a driver of this car, I wish the doors autolock when you hit certain speeds
Very Accurate review, planning for the E Variant if di kaya si Raize E or Kia Sonet
Why E not G?
Thank you for this great review! I love subcompacts.
Can you guys do a review/comparison of the 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback?
Any suggestion planning to get my 1st car Wigo 2024 or GX3 Pro :)

Less body roll bec of wider body compared to last gen. Especially when you put start bar front and rear maybe.
the looks is from Honda Brio to Honda Jazz. I think?
sana may guide lines din yung rear camera pero wala
I love this wigo!!!❤❤❤
skeptical with the A/T, but not a fan of CVT either, then what did you want sir? lol
Manual xD

Faux carbon fiber is lame, but it’s still better than the piano black Toyota puts in American models. Fingerprint and scratch magnets.
What country is this?
It's literally in the channel's name jeezus
Sinagot naman 😂
Toyota wigo > mirage g4 Toyota vios Honda brio
Watching from bd
Perodua Axia better than Toyota Wigo
Nah its the same car, which means same thing
A 5 year old car has more tech and safety than this one. Cheaper too.
You're right in some sense but brand new car is still a brand new car
This is way cheaper. This is top of the line. For its price, you cant even buy a manual Honda Brio
What car?
What 5 year old car with great tech is as cheap as a wigo? How much did that car get beat up to cost 700k in just 5 years? 😂
delusional
Ampangit. Feeling pa ng mga driver ng wigo ambibilis ng unit nila.
Then the new wigo is not marketed for folks like you
