Well after having the latest version of the X1M35 with the same motor and trans, the main issues are are, the dct is very jerky especially in traffic , torque steer is much worse than the current series F40, same platform, less torque 400 down from 450nm, and the wastegate actuator rattle on the b48 still hasn't been resolved. Very disappointing that BMW haven't sorted these issues out, definitely a missed opportunity. The current series F40 M135i xdrive will probably become alittle more desirable over the F70 platform.
@@Lmbarrett83 don't think so I have the 22, the vehicles are front wheel drive most of the time it's almost impossible to rid torque steer, go drive the new x1 😉 All they fixed was the suspension off the 128ti more camber.
I jumped from a fwd seat cupra to the my22 model a couple of years ago and can't say that the torque steer is noticeable at all. I think the steering was also retuned and the traction control setup from the 128ti. I think the biggest difference is noticed on the 19s without adaptive suspension (which I have) I'm not a massive fan of the gearbox as compared with the DSG in the cupra, but the handling is very clinical. I'll definitely test drive the new model once available.
@@Lmbarrett83 I moved from my 2010 MK2.5 focus rs with a few mods 380bhp, still bloody that best sounding engine that 5pot, yeah the gearbox ain't special lol, the new dct in the BMW is worse I reckon, very jerky, and the torque difference is noticeable in the mid range for over taking, such a shame, it's a missed opportunity I feel.
@@MYMOUNTAIN_122 yeah I agree as it seems that both the s3, Golf R and potentially the A35 will remain ahead in terms of performance. 4 exhausts seems pointless if it sounds like the f40
The only difference is that cars such as BYD are terrible and only packed with cheap electronics. Our company bus got substituted with BYD instead of the old Mercedes and you can feel every bump on the road. The driver is Asian and he curses the car on every trip 😂.
Looks like a bloody punto!! Shocking
No it doesn’t
The vertical headlights are the problem.
BMWs used to be ahead of the curve with car design. Now they look like previous generation Kia’s or Hyundai
91K drive away for this as per bmw website. How's that an 'agreeable price'?
Why does it look massive? Surely I can’t be the only one who sees that
What's wrong with BMW? It's not exciting anymore 😒
Just buy an M3 then 🤷🏽♂️
Pretty sure that BMW produce some pretty exciting vehicles.
BMW make some of the best engines in the business . If you are looking for excitement then you are spoilt for choice , all you need is a lot of💰$$$$$
Yeah the f21 m140i is still the daddy in the 1 series line up
Front design like ford focus...hmmmm..with kidney grills
Kia ceed or ford focus
You have lights, lights, lcds, vegan leather… it looks sporty. Yeah right…
118 powered by a twin turbo engine or BMW TwinPower Turbo?
Twin power.
BMW's Verticle headlights only look good on their SUVs, 3.5/10 for this New 2024 1 Series.
Have they made some manuals on this platform?
No
yes, 4 speed manual
I hate cars with a fixed headrest
They should call it BMW 1 focus series

Torque steer on the F40? The my22 model year already resolved this

i see A CLASS
Not a fan of the interior, it looks... cheap and lack of buttons :(
quad exhaust pipes for M135
4.9 secs not 3.9*
Was gonna say!
lol imagine
Yeah I got excited and did some cross checking and got sad. 😔
Many reasons to get sad for this car. My F20 is smiling in the garage😅
Looks like a Ford Focus.
Looks a bit like a kia with the front end
Nice design❤
😮😮😮😮❤❤❤
The dash is so bland. The Chinese manufacturers will be laughing so hard over this.
VW also. But it's a different kind customer to you.

Buttonless
Stop leaning all over it..!!
Who’s here from Fortnite
2010 Kia Ceed front end, who the fk designed that, soooooooooooo bad... 🤪🤠🤡
