I think this song is about no matter how rich you are, materialistic things don't ultimately make you happy. The rich woman in the video had the nice house, family, cars, but obviously wasn't happy. Then the poor guy was unhappy in his life because he wanted all those nice things but could never get them. So "stuff" doesn't make you happy.
To top it off, she worked so hard at trying to get these things, that she didn't pay attention to the other important things in her life ( Family), she didn't balance work and life. I went to his concert here in Dallas, TX (Therapy Sessions tour) and it was like something I have never seen before. I showed up to the House of Blues concert hall and hour early and the line was like a mile long. Every ticket was sold out he is definitely someone everyone should check out. As far as this song goes we live two separate lives but without "Christ" we are both asleep. So wake up is what he is saying. Thank you for your videos I really enjoy watching them and hearing your input.

NF is still a Christian and his whole message is "the grass is not greener on the other side" the woman had the money but her life felt like a waste because she put everything she had into what she does for a living and lost her husband and son who I'm assuming left her because she was negligent and had her priorites wrong.
