This was the first song I heard by NF, at first when he was singing, I noticed he had a great voice, once the beat kicked in, I got chills, listening to the song through, was amazing, I loved it so much, now I have been listening to NF for about 7 years and he has not disappointed since! Love your videos man! They are awesome!

Yes he is actually saying wake up in the chorus, i didn't know that for the longest time lmao
So the song is NF's message for people who are struggling with life to wake up. People who can't appreciate the good in life or fix their mistakes from the past and are just "sleeping' in their coma. And then they grow old just lik in the video.
You got the concept of the video totally right, two people living completely different lives but feel the same.
The first woman has everything that the world says would make you happy: nice house, money, nice car but then meanwhile she lost everything getting to that. Showing that even that you have all those things, that doesn't just make you happy.
Then the 2nd guy who doesn't rly have anything going for him and is much poorer is going through the same struggle. Then in the video he is doing the yard for the richer woman and sees her driving away in the nice car. Thinking her life is perfect and he wishes he could be her so he could be happy.
Nice description dextraa! Very well told story by NF, he must have had the same struggle!?😊
Yep, the young man in the video was working at the woman’s house as a groundskeeper or something. He was sitting there as she was pulling out of the garage. Also notice when it showed the mantle with her family picture and expensive car keys that the photo disappeared but the keys stayed. She’d lost what really mattered.

NF is one phenomenal artist and you're about to witness a master. I was going through a dark phase 3 months ago and that's when I found out NF. I haven't been listening to any other artists other than NF ever since. This dude is unbelievably addictive and relatable!!!

This may be out of place, but as a widow of 18 months I want to scream “don’t take this life for granted “. Wake up and enjoy what God has given you. You never know when you will not be with your person, and you have the choice with God at that moment.

I LOVE how you have to watch NF to the very last seconds. His songs have so many layers, and then when he adds a video to it, it adds a whole other layer on top of it. Same with Let You Down.

So I think in this she didn't loss her family, She picked success over having a family. Now she has everything and is wishing she has a family to share it with.
I'm guessing that the next song on your "Journey" list is "Notepad"... after that, please make sure that you do "Paralyzed" (some versions of the journey list leave it off, but to me it is an absolutely essential song... it is probably the most accurate & haunting depiction of depression ever recorded!).

This was the first songI ever saw by NF. I stumbled across this video late one night and my mind was blown! I then binge watched every video he had up tp that point and so began my "love affair" with NF. Another great reaction, you always have great lessons to share!😁💗

What you said, hit the nail kinda at the end about being stuck in life. In Intro III the fear says " if you wanna own your life then WAKE UP and take your own advice." Meaning he is stuck. And again, him mentioning his own song again.
And yes it is saying "wake up" for the chorus. 😊
Don't know how I missed the live so mad at myself
I feel like I’m on autopilot through the week at work because I don’t want my mental illness getting in my way so I’m numb to it. Weekends come and I get my kids every other weekend. This weekend their was flooding on the roads and I couldn’t get to them. Once I realized I couldn’t get my kids I cried so hard it felt like my soul hurt. I wait 2 weeks stay on auto pilot then take myself off and my kids are there to make me happy, but they were not and I just let my emotions go. I cried and felt all the pain from not having them everyday to the decisions I made when I left my ex husband. I ignore my spouse now. They stay in the living room and I go in the bedroom. I just rather be alone. Is rather be alone. I need to wake up and realize this cycle isn’t healthy. I’m gonna lose everything I worked for.
Well said Kyri! It’s hard to keep pushing when the emotional weight is so heavy. Having a steady routine you commit to will help but you have to fight the negativity that pulls you back. Steady eating, steady sleep routine, steady exercise (walking), will help to get your body moving and oxygen to your brain. Plan your days and plan your escape or down time, keep grinding!😊👍
That would be interesting to combine NF's art in therapy sessions.

I guess I had a different interpretation of the song. I saw it as a woman that was so focused on her career that she didn't have a family and now as an older woman she is imagining the family she could've had and is filling unfulfilled in her life now
