U deserve one of these👏👏. I've heard how hard it is to just transform him without stop motion, I can't imaging how hard it would have been to do it with.
The thing is, when it comes to Unicrons size. I don’t think people realize how big he is. Like, HES A PLANET. An entire CITY could fit on the tip of his finger. No piece of media has ever truly reflected his sheer size in comparison to the transformers. And I wish a piece of media would show him as monolithic as he would actually be if he actually turned into a planet.

I am absolutely in awe The fact you animated the transformation, made a full in depth "cell" review, made multiple skits, one of which involved Unicron literally transforming to look at Galvatrons necklace, and spent this much effort on the figure is dedication. I was impressed by Omega Supreme, but this takes what you can do to a whole new level, absolutely fantastic
I love the little buildings all over the body. It really is a planet, and I'm imagining some guy having the audacity to rent a duplex on Unicron's western hemisphere
@EasterBurn If Unicron's backstory had existed at the time, Welles might have taken the role more seriously if he knew he was voicing Satan and convincing the villain to help him kill God.

@@leviticusprime4904 Its not that I don't like it, its just not at all what everyone hypes it up to be, and its certainly not the best Unicron on the market.
The main reason I absolutely despise the Haslab Unicorn is that its a panel-forming mess. All those planetary panels just hanging off of the body really ruin the look in my opinion.
I'm glad I didn't back the haslab Unicron, because I was going to get him based on the whole biggest transformer, which was the whole basis of buying Fortress Maximus. Needless to say Fort Max to a lot of upgrades to not be disappointing in robot mode, vehicle mode is a bit off a loss. Plus I backed thier sentinel and it's not up to standards so who knows how Unicron would have disappointed at that price.
You know, I don't understand why Hasbro can't just, hire on these third party makers for some of their masterpiece/main toy lines. Probably something legal related but if Hasbro had the studio that made this Unicron, it'd probably still cost as much as their official release, but still look that amazing!
They do and vice versa. Its much we just dont know. And then its a matter of priorities, HasTak has its to please their customers and shareholders, while 3rd party does it for the love of it and are huge fans hemselves. Sure theres been a fair share of suckage and money grabbers among 3rd party, but nowadays they dont last as long as before. I Totally love all your stop Motion Reviews, The fact of having to do all that process certainly allows you to appreciate every little piece that other Review may overlook, as well as the ability to pose and the resistance of the plastic
Both planet to robot transformations were awesome in their own ways. Peolesdru's was a cinematic showcase of what a transformation sequence should look like (he even snuck the wings into a transition) and yours with the massive amount of stuff going on reminded me of the good parts of the Bay movies. Bay might hate transformers but he sure knew how to make transforming look good...key word is "knew"
I always had an affinity for this Cell, but those spicy shots at the Hasbrofficial Unicron during this review put that affinity into sharp focus. Thank you for this, Eyebrow. No way I can call you "Lazy" after a herculean task like this!
Ever since day 1 of Haslabs announcement of Unicron, i was skeptical. They revealed it, and i instantly hated it. When i saw this though, i loved everything about it and still want to eventually get a version of Unicron for my 86 shelf
I think I'm going to swing for the Pumpkin version for my x-mas present(to me)this year. I'm in the same boat on the Haslab one. I thought 600$ was at least 2x what it was worth, and still do.
Great Review. Glad to see everyone collaborating on this review. Well done. Love the little LER humor tidbits sprinkled in there as well. I think most people who got the HasLab Unicron are not going to transform it more than once and basically got it to be the focal display piece of their collection. I still think it is crazy that they went up against the HasLab campaign and it actually was made since that was some...cajones (google translate that word, it's freaking hilarious). Always enjoy your reviews, even the long ones. I wonder what you could do with the HasLab would you ever get the opportunity to do stop motion animation on it? How much time did it take to edit and put this review all together? Just curious. I also love seeing the bumpers you made in your reviews. Glad you went full-time and can put more into your craft. Take care.
i wish i had of taken an hour logger to this one, because it took a substantial amount of time. but I started work on this immediately after the Dinobot review (with a sprinkling of 3 other videos in there) so it did take a while haha
Great review Eyebrow. Especially when it came to explaining why scale doesn’t matter. Although I can see someone making a 42 ft Unicron just to scale it with an actual figure.
ooh how blessed are we to have someone do a stop motion transformation on NOT Unicron aka the citizen kane of unicrons. seriously i want someone to customize an orson welles voice chip in this guys head and my dream unicron would be complete.
Huge text wall about both Haslab and Studio Cell incoming: I am one of the people who actually did back the Haslab Unicron. Do I regret it and wish to trade it for Studio Cell? Absolutely not! I can see the appeal of both though. I actually don't really mind all the kibble since in my mind Unicron's robot form was sort of "birthed" from inside his planet mode, and the tectonic flap sandwiches seem to add to his beefy appearances. But I will admit he is a little bit cumbersome for being so big and I do wish I could display him. Where Cell looses me however is just how much of a mess the transformation looks to be and the lack of inherent detail. Don't get me wrong I respect what both sides did, but I do wish there was some sort of happy medium between Haslab and Cell. Big, but not overbearingly so, and detailed without being as much of a mess as Cell. No matter who you went with at the end of the day, they're both great in their own way.
This is probably the best review and stop motion you have ever done. The transformation sequence with galvatron alone is worth watching the whole video.
You were one of my favorite Review Tubers as a kid, and checking back in after a few years I can safely say nothing has changed. My day just got a bit cooler knowing you still make the same cool vids.
nice review and pointing logically all the absurd points for defending Haslab Unicron. Those Haslab projects are a slap for fans outside of the North American continent area.
This was very enjoyable to watch. All the effort you put in was worth it! The Pokeball skit as the end had me dying of laughter. I look forward to the next video!!!
I know this is 2 years late but I just want to point out that since his planet mode doesn't have spikes on any of the blue areas, you don't need to remove the spikes at all when you switch the panels for planet mode, the only reason why they have the slots is just because it easier to reuse the mold. Sadly since I got the new version, there's no blue panels at all (but it does have the bigger orbit rings right at the start so that's definitely a plus)
After this review I will be going for the cell and not Haslab. I especially want to thank you for your time and patience and putting together this masterpiece review that shows cell off in great detail! Stay awesome, happy, safe, healthy!
This is truly one of the most amazing feats of stop motion animation I have seen! The cellular beginning was very creative, the stop motion transformation blew my mind, and you have totally convinced me to get one!
Glad you enjoyed the figure and love the review. It's made me appreciate my own Studio Cell even more again. I feel like transforming him again but also getting mild flashbacks to the trauma of the first transformations. It drew blood. Also love the peolesdru cameo, I was just thinking you should collab with him and guys like Harris Loureiro.. only minor thing I'd disagree with is the framing of the scale argument.. even though I agree that no matter which scale you choose, it's going to be wrong, and I'm 100% glad I chose to buy Studio Cell over Haslab, it's not a dichotomy of right scale vs wrong scale with all wrong scales being equally wrong.. all else being equal, bigger Unicron is better Unicron because it's closer to what Unicron should be... of course, in this case, all else is not equal, and that's why I chose Studio Cell.
I always thought the in-universe explanation for planetary waste was that all bits of the planet get converted into plasma based energy, so it just gets exhausted into space when consumed
Was "galaxy brain engineering" an unintentional pun? Also, hooray! 01Studio Cell (not Unicron) has been caught! 01Studio Cell (not Unicron) has been added to your collection.
My only complaint about my Pumpkin Unicorn, I also have the Zeta Bruticus and Superion and the DX9 Menasor. I wish he was at least bigger than them, and considering Zeta made him, one does ask why they didn't make him slightly bigger, like 6 inches more. But I do love it, I can't wait to set up a proper display
when i watched the transformation, i was all like "i once considered sparing your home planet of cybertron. but now you shall witness... it's dismemberment!"
I totally agree with your awe for the design. This will probably always be the most worthwhile Transformers figure I'll ever own... and I'll probably transform about two more times in my life in between stacking him on my shelf to look at.
What makes it even more "never to scale" is when was the last time you spotted a Stormtrooper on the surface of the Deathstar from your local Alderran or Yavin IV. It's simply not possible. But as noted before, Scale never really mattered, just the feeling of it does.
I found that a store bought dental tool and needle nose pliers did a good job at switching the panels without damaging too much of the pins and plastic
Man, I was so exited when you announced this review. I love the other transformers reviewers, but only you make this figures come to LIFE!!! I had really high expectations, and I was blown away anyway! I mean, what was that transformation when Galvatron showed off his bling?!!! and the one at the end!!! I can't get enough of it. When such a talented animator gets his hands on such a well crafted figure, it just magic!!
Cell has 2 recolours what do you think of those The pumpkin just bring a fun recolour for a Halloween feel while 01B is updated to be more in line with the movie while the base is more accurate to the poster
When it comes to the Haslab!Unicron vs 01Studio Cell debate, I think Emgo summed it up best. Either you want something big, or you want something with a clean transformation. I'm pretty sure trying to have both will make it more expensive than both of them combined. Also Haslab recreated how the arms come out of the very back of the planet in the Movie.
29:56 As a person who saw a video that talks about how tall would outmaster peace unicorn be if it was accurately scaled... The calculation said it would have to be 23m or 76ft OR 912in. In other words, god awfully massive
Help me out here, what's so controversial about this and not OTHER 3rd party figures? Or is it that Hasbro is just that embarrassed by this thing's existence? "Who-Who said that?..." *_"I.... AM KING BON-BON...."_* LMFAO! 3:39 - Oh my God, Unicron is LITERALLY fighting the coronavirus like Cool Cat!! I can't take it!!! 🤣 30:14 - This. All the this.
It’s morso the fact that it was revealed at the peak of the Haslab Unicron campaign which caught Hasbro’s attention. There was radio silence for a while, but it eventually turned back up under a different company name.
My brother got the haslab unicron and it's magnificent in its accurate planet mode, and (planet panel kibble notwithstanding) robot mode. But several months before he also got Cell. And i gotta say i still love Cell for different reasons than haslab unicron. Totally agree with you that I'm on the side that i absolutely love the conversion for Cell.
I would heartily recommend obtaining some thermoplastic. It's really inexpensive and incredibly useful material, and you can easily create custom tools for assisting in transformation and customization procedures which carry NO RISK of marring or scratching the plastic surfaces you may need to wedge'n'pry.
FYI, re: your comment about the back of planet mode missing the orange circle, On the Pumpkin repaint they painted that in. I was transforming it a couple of days ago and noticed that mine has it. Then I had to remember which review I watched that mentioned it. TH-cam history has its advantages.
I think given how detailed this figure is, the complex yet intuitive transformation that casts that 'black magic' to make both robot and alt-mode look amazing in either form is immaculate. This IS the Unicron toy everyone has been waiting for, for over 30+ years. Haslabs Unicron maybe bigger with a slightly better planet mode; but yeah they ultimately fail to 'Cell' because they couldn't be bothered to engineer the transformation better. All that alt-mode hanging off the body and destroying any movie accuracy that Cell has in spades. Plus they came out with an even more typical Unicron color scheme called Pumpkin for those who prefer the color scheme to fit the comics/other media. Haslab should hang their head in shame for charging double what Cell costs, without looking as grand or accurate. Hasbro you can do better, otherwise, you will keep losing to the Third Parties. Even Takara who's often better about this stuff has to keep on their toes because the 'black magic' of the 3rd Party offerings makes their prices often worth it (as always do your research as 3rd Parties can also be a ripoff depending).
You got my like from the moment the armed 'Cell' punched a virus. That's great. Really, this whole review was fantastic and highlights so much of this figure's quality. Also, if I remember correctly, Unicron's goal is to consume and destroy everything. That means he, at some point, HAS to eat the entire TacoBella system. ... Didn't think I'd feel sorry for Transformers' Satan, but here we are.

With the arms out in cell mode, it reminds me of King Goobot from the Jimmy Neutron movie.
Was "galaxy brain engineering" an unintentional pun? Also, hooray! 01Studio Cell (not Unicron) has been caught! 01Studio Cell (not Unicron) has been added to your collection.
"would you like to give a nickname to Unicron?"
“These are the voyages of the starship Unicron.”
Waka Waka, there goes Richard!
when i watched the transformation, i was all like "i once considered sparing your home planet of cybertron. but now you shall witness... it's dismemberment!"
19:52-20:17 my favourite skit/transformation thus far!
I totally agree with your awe for the design. This will probably always be the most worthwhile Transformers figure I'll ever own... and I'll probably transform about two more times in my life in between stacking him on my shelf to look at.
I’ve never seen a stop motion review of an animal cell before, well done!
That Unicron voice. So good!
Thanks, mate!
What makes it even more "never to scale" is when was the last time you spotted a Stormtrooper on the surface of the Deathstar from your local Alderran or Yavin IV. It's simply not possible. But as noted before, Scale never really mattered, just the feeling of it does.
I haven't scene him so happy since Cliffjumper's BRAKES!!!
So, we gonna talk about that Spirit Tracks Overworld remix that is playing in the outro? Nice taste in choice of music.
I've been using it for close to a year now, congratulations on being the first to point it out
What a great transforming stop motion scene you've made man ... Congratulations!
[ Looks up into the distant reaches of space. ]
Awww, crap. Not *again*...
The engineers who designed this deserve a promotion
I found that a store bought dental tool and needle nose pliers did a good job at switching the panels without damaging too much of the pins and plastic
This Unicron conversion set for Might-o-Condria is really cool!
The death star blows up a planet
Unicron: Hey. I was eating that. 😂
I want a 42’ Unicron!
Nice review. I learned a lot about cellular function. Very cleverly done. Can we do a Physics review in the next video? 😉
Lazy Eyebrow: Starts spewing parts of the cell
Me: Highschool biology war flashbacks
Man, I was so exited when you announced this review. I love the other transformers reviewers, but only you make this figures come to LIFE!!!
I had really high expectations, and I was blown away anyway!
I mean, what was that transformation when Galvatron showed off his bling?!!! and the one at the end!!! I can't get enough of it.
When such a talented animator gets his hands on such a well crafted figure, it just magic!!
Thanks for the great review. I've never found the Haslab Unicron impressive. The Studio Cell version absolutely amazes me!
Cell has 2 recolours what do you think of those
The pumpkin just bring a fun recolour for a Halloween feel while 01B is updated to be more in line with the movie while the base is more accurate to the poster
I like this one the most, but I can see why people would like the variants
@@TheLazyEyebrowsame, I prefer the more saturated look of this one, unlike jobbythehong, I don’t think it makes it look like a baby toy
You even did what sounds like Funtime Freddy’s voice all hail king BAWN BAWN
When it comes to the Haslab!Unicron vs 01Studio Cell debate, I think Emgo summed it up best.
Either you want something big, or you want something with a clean transformation.
I'm pretty sure trying to have both will make it more expensive than both of them combined.
Also Haslab recreated how the arms come out of the very back of the planet in the Movie.

As a person who saw a video that talks about how tall would outmaster peace unicorn be if it was accurately scaled... The calculation said it would have to be 23m or 76ft OR 912in. In other words, god awfully massive
So excited for Seed to be finished
Help me out here, what's so controversial about this and not OTHER 3rd party figures? Or is it that Hasbro is just that embarrassed by this thing's existence?
"Who-Who said that?..."
*_"I.... AM KING BON-BON...."_* LMFAO!
3:39 - Oh my God, Unicron is LITERALLY fighting the coronavirus like Cool Cat!! I can't take it!!! 🤣
30:14 - This. All the this.
It’s morso the fact that it was revealed at the peak of the Haslab Unicron campaign which caught Hasbro’s attention. There was radio silence for a while, but it eventually turned back up under a different company name.
0:27 The gasp just reminds me of Monty Python's Flying Circus for some reason!
I like the idea of Unicron just having a big toilet in the middle of space
I have to point out it cost only $200 oversea. We already payed doubled for that. With the regular price $200 tag, There is no way to beat it.
"For a time, I considered SPARING your wretched world Cybertron....Now you shall witness its dismemberment"
I was so heart broken I couldn't afford the haslabs Unicron but after seeing how much of a shellformer he was I'm not bothered anymore
Just had a exam at my University about Cell biology, got a moment of déjà vu when you mentioned phospholipid bilayer and organells lol 😂
This review is so good! I especially love the "Taco Bella System" part!
