Haha the funny thing is you showed a THIRD shoulder configuration mode that is actually somewhat between the two. The official one is to split the boom down the middle, and lower them so they are wider, then fold the tail tips to the inside (that you folded to the outside)@@peolesdru
One thing I noticed with brawl is that the center section of. the chest is actually on a slider, allowing it to sit flush with the rest. It can be a bit hard to get it out though, I usually end up pushing that slider with the tank turret's.
There's some really clever stuff with all of these guys and I really like how seemless Brawls chest is, specifically, but oooh man that combiner kibble. I can forgive the hands and feet since, they're hands and feet, and even the thighs because I don't know where else they'd go, but it feels like they kinda gave up with the chest piece. Onslaught is doing nothing back there and the did the chest plate really need to be a separate part? You've already got a big chunk don't make it worse lol. This definitely feels a little bit worse than their Menasor because the combiner skeleton at least *did* something there. If the Stunticons weren't combined you weren't left with a massive vaguely-Menasor-looking thing, but here you are left with a large vaguely-Bruticus-looking thing.
And torso and thighs and head… MMC has broken me. I’m just all in on All Built In now. Edit addendum: I do appreciate the other way of doing combiners, too. This one looks amazing and stable, for instance. I just don’t really want to buy them. And I know MMC’s have compromises to achieve their gimmick. I get that those compromises are a deal breaker for some. Not faulting anyone for that. And then there’s freaking Cang Toys. Holy crap. “Need separate feet? Let’s make some wolf-bots. Crotch? Gorilla bot. Hands? Robo-crab. No useless combiner pieces for us; we got a whole b-team of bots instead.”
This one looks better to me than MMC especially the individual robot modes. Onslaught really didn’t look the best on MMC and this magic square Brawls legs look so much better to me just all of the bots do really lol. I used to be all for what MMC did but i really just want a stable and complex fun transformation more than anything and these have just as many steps if not probably more than those did so I love them. But I have both sets and am keeping both so I’m not hating on MMC either.
While the figures and Bruticus are all awesome, Bruticus's kibble mode kinda sucks. I guess it's supposed to be a base, but it's meh. Especially when compared to the last two.

Absolutely awesome. Bruticus is my favorite combiner. However, it is a little disappointing that nobody is doing Computron or Abominus.
Give them time. When it slows down I'll do the Maketoys Computron.

The front of the chest is a separate part because there is another variant of him that is more "IDW" (which frankly looks more like the original toy)
