- I headed down Soi 15 Sukhumvit at 6:00am on a Friday morning. This area with the Four Points hotel near the top, is a great area in Bangkok, Thailand for locals and expats.

I stayed at Kingston nice rooms but an extremely small elevator two people with one suitcase each is all it holds. Right by the 711 on soi 15 there is a walkway to soi 13. I like a bar on soi 13 called the sportsman. Pretty wait staff, cheap drinks and the food is pretty good.
Yes, that little walkway is great to get over to Soi 13. Sportsman is a good bar
Yah, that's my Soi and hotel. I've seen a couple of condos down there of pretty good value. Definitely somewhere I'm considering moving to...
I'm just doing the sums now. It looks like a move might be on next year...

how are the rental prices there?
When I was at that Hooters earlier this year, they had a major plumbing leak in the ceiling over the bar so I imagine they had some big structural issues. I can’t say I like the food at Hooters but the one on Soi 4 is THE BEST for people watching on the street.😊
I hate to see any business go under. I agree with that Soi 4 street bar. That's some crazy street action

Enjoyable video and timely for me as I was just wandering around this area when I was in Bangkok two weeks ago, walked through that cut through leading to the Indian restaurant too. I thought that residential street was really neat especially where it dead end's at the klong by The Peaks Residence, but didn't see any 7-11's nearby. Am enjoying your videos and have subscribed, thank you.

That Four Points Sheraton is the first place i ever stayed in Bangkok, heck in all of Asia, last year when i arrived for the first time.. I was looking at a map of all the Marriott properties before i booked and i was mainly interested in a quiet property where i could sleep off my jet lag before exploring Thailand for the first time.. so i thought that Four Points would fit the bill for some reason, how wrong i was ! It’s pretty much in the center of everything, but I wound up enjoying the place for the few days i was there,and they had a great, friendly staff as well .. Nice video, keep up the good work .
Ya man, that was a great choice. Close to all, yet a nice property. I wouldn't try to relax at a hotel on Soi 4. That has people running up and down the hall at 3am. Get back over here. Say hello and we'll grab a drink.
My boy started at NIST last week and he really loves it.

I think Soi 15 is a fine area. It's a little hustle and bustle tourist area. But, it's very safe

Thank you very much. Charlie Browns in between Soi 17 and Soi 19. Very close to Soi 21. Maybe a 5 minute walk. Easy to find.

Soi 15 is pretty much tourists area. So many foreigners visiting soi 15 bars and clubs also. Lot of restaurants bars
Ya there are tourist there, but it's still probably 80% local Thai folks. Many Thai's want their kids to go to on the international schools in the area.
This is the first time I ever heard that there is purse snatching thieves in Bangkok. I do worry about this because I am a foreigner visiting Thailand. But I am still coming - just more cautious. Thanks Joe 👍. BTW I do not carry purses at all.
Ya with 16 million people, you are going to have some idiots. Chris Parker from Retired Working For You, re-counted the story of his daughter getting her purse snatched. Bangkok is one of the safest cities I've lived in, but there is crime and everywhere in the world.
Ruamchitt hotel hmm is the next too Thermae bar? Stayed there twice for location which was good beds were rock hard.
Ya, a firm mattress, is pretty common. Even in condos. At Lotus, I got a nice 2 inch memory foam

Yes, I hate to see any business close. The Pattaya one also went under. Lets hope Soi 4 and Koi Samui keep going strong. Hooters is a classic. Often times the cheapest casino in Vegas was Hooters. I was said to see it go under. They even had a Hooters plane for a few years. Of course it went to Vegas.

The Trendy building is where they go for UK and Australian visa applications. Maybe other countries too. Hence the various agencies around there.
Ya most of those agencies can take care of anyone who is pulling out the cash.

I've never stayed there, but there are two 4 story hotels in the alley near Stella's. You can see them on any of my Soi 41 or 43 videos
Hooters USA closed several restaurants - basically a pull back from their past expansion(s) - fewer locations and keeping the more profitable/central locations (i.e. in marketing the extra stores created sales cannibalism in the current environment)... in high growth periods act like a rabbit in defensive times do like a turtle pull back in the shell... all a sign of the times
Ya I heard the guy needed to open four locations to get the franchise in Thailand. With two closing, we'll see what happens
@@EagerExpat Given the global economic conditions and lag from the "situation" I'm sure those initial terms got modified... hopefully the high season reaches new records... (wish for the best, plan for the worst) - all that aside thank you for your videos!
@@EagerExpat I went to the Soi 15 location in 2023 and it was never crowded compared to the Nana location.
@@b_b762x51 That's very true. I heard some people complaining the prices were a little steep. Especially at the Pattaya location. That's a hard place to try and charge more than 60b for a bottle of San Miguel. It's 140b at many places in Bangkok, but if you charge 70b in Pattaya because it's air conditioned, many guys won't enter.
@@random1883 Ya I don't know. I think they counted on a lot of traffic from the Four Points Sheraton that it was attached to. I'm sure something will open in the location.
