    I have the same old trex decking to clean next week. Don't think it's as bad as that one but gonna use the 12v with maybe 3% and see how it comes out. Great stuff as always

    Id always read that you werent supposed to use SH with trex. Looks like it came out well. Going to have to start doing that from now on. 6% though...wow. strong mix!

      @@powerfulimprovements gotcha. I wasnt giving you crap, I turned down some 1st gen trex the other day because I was worried I was going to destroy their deck even more than it already was. After watching this I'd be willing to give it a try

      I hear ya, have the same concerns myself. I'm going to use a 3% mix and see if it does the trick. If it doesn't, I may just increase the strength to 5 or 6%.

      @@giantslayer473 I wouldn't. I'd just use a standard house wash mix and let it swell for 20 mins. That seems to do the trick without needing much pressure

      @@bhhacker "standard house wash mix", can you elaborate? Do you mean like what I would use (mix) if I were cleaning vinyl siding? Like a 1-2% sh and soap mix? Or no?

    Is 6% the final ratio? or are you using a 6% SH with no dilution?

    The last hose I had blow,I took it to Napa and had them put male and females fittings on it. I wasn’t sure how long it would last,but it has been going strong for a month now. 👍Just a way to get a little more life out of it.

      @@augfire it cost me $17 I think to get the hose replaced. I have been using it just fine too. This is how i repaired my high pressure hose on my truck skid.

    You didn’t follow up with a wood brightener, correct ? Just a soft wash on the composite deck ?

    I'll ask you since u the godfather.. is it really safe to use SH on composite trex deck . The manufacturer says not to but what u did there is beautiful... cleaning a Grey colored trex deck in 2 weeks

      I hesitate to green light it. I’ve had good luck to date. Especially on old filthy trex like this video

    Did you spray the railings with 6% as well? And did you worry about the grass getting misted by the 6% mix?

    Hey Joe can I pick your brain real quick. I know sometimes on these older gen trex dex can end up faded with white dotted spots. Ever run into that with 6% sh on them?

      Yes. It bleaches out the wood fibers. Unavoidable if using SH

    When u rinse the trex deck, whats your PSI set to?

      Psi is controlled by the tip you use. Not so much at the unloader. My m5 put out about 150-200 psi

    6% is way too hot Joe! Waste of chem. Normal house wash will give the same result will the same dwell.

      Also I clean with house wash all the time, and 1% wouldn’t have cleaned this within any reasonable time. It maybe cost me 8-10$ in chem to save more than 30 min dwell time.
