Don't think I have ever before read or heard from a reviewer that the bike's abilities were beyond his/hers. Props and congratulations for being the honesty unicorn. By the way, the abilities of 90% of all motorcycles are beyond those of their riders.

Don’t really care about the bike but Trey your style is pretty cool. Really connected with you and your riding. Next time you’ll nail it and kudos to not be afraid to show your foibles and humbleness. Looking forward to seeing what chase and Co have in store for you

Hey mate Trey, don’t be hard on yourself. I’m in the UK and have had this bike on order for over a year. Loved your review. Honest interesting stuff. The bunch of pro journo riders may seem intimidating but hey, they’re just guys and a bit more practiced. Do your thing. Ride your own pace. The Brit with the fancy graphic helmet, tinted visor and backpack at 2:45 is Adam “Chad” Child. He’s raced the IoM TT a few times, survived and put in a 113mph lap on a 650 so he’s no slouch. Lovely man and no ego, so no issue you couldn’t keep up with them. And they’ve all dumped press bikes. Anyway, lovely style in film you have. That’s the most beautiful thing and skill. Kudos.

Guzzi gets under your skin in a way that's hard to explain. Your videos are refreshing, and I appreciate your new rider point of view much more than the "experts." Regarding your mishap, those who say it hasn't happened to them are less than truthful.

Drove a Mandello too on a long testride, as you mentioned, it is not for novice riders, but it's top of a bike once you used to it.
You are verry honest in your reviews, that's wat I like👍

Thank you for this review, when you talked about the engine i grinned and nodded. That you as a Guzzi newbie describe the expreience like that, tells me that the engineers at Mandello did it right. This engine is a huge departure for Guzzi from the old air cooled engines to watercooling and the bike has more electronics on it than all Guzzis before it combined.
As a life long Guzzista you sharing this experience gives me the confidence to check one out and consider buying one. Thank you.

Nice review. Very refreshing getting some feedback from an honest, ordinary biker. Great respect for the admission to dropping the bike. I'm seriously looking at this bike being a previous, very happy Guzzi owner (only a 750 Breva) as well as a VTX1800. Your comments are very interesting and will be taken carefully into consideration. Thank you. Peter Guy

Excellent review and commentary! I stumbled upon this video because I was looking for and update on this bike. I am glad that I did because your review and commentary style sounds poetic to my ears with an analysis. Does the bike look as good in person as it does on video? What didn't you like about the bike and would you get one for yourself? Do you see this bike as an all arounder bike? Good around town and highway? BTW, I did you scratch the bike when you dropped it? It seems like they would have been mad at you or something. Thanks

Thank you for that review. Refreshing honesty. When I first saw The V100 with the revised exhaust location, the first thing I thought was how that exhaust looked vulnerable to damage in a minor tip over. I know how easy it is to tip a bike so I wondered how it would handle a tip. I'm sorry that you had that experience, but I would love to know did the exhaust handle the tip over?

Hey mate, could I suggest you do some advanced rider training. Particularly slow training where they will show you much better handling of your controls. I’ve been riding for 40+ years, and continue to do training, it highlights bad habits you develop without knowing, learn new skills and your hanging with like minded people. Beautiful bike, my wife and I are considering one as they are now here in Australia. Enjoyable vid, well done 👍🏼

6:50 Good that no one got hurt. Italy is challenge to ride. Natives rides these switchbacks in fast pace its hard to keep up. Even seniors in their fiat or on Vespas can sometimes be a challenge to keep up with in small tight roads.
But i hope that you pick up some close quarters practice when your back home. Learn to navigate graveled payment , curbs, steep hill stops and turns in safe manner.

So many technologies and idk if it's a good idea that bikes nowadays heavily lean on technology. It's a sure way to upsale any bikes and it could lead to over dependant on the technology to save yourself rather than building those reflexes and skills as you practice.

One day, if you have a 40-hours or so (!), I will tell you about my Moto Guzzi dealer in the USA.
Who in 20-trips (exaggerating) could not get my brand new 1997 Moto Guzzi Sports 1100 to run properly.
Idle - but pop and fart on throttle.
Marginally acceptable on throttle - and would then stall at every stop light. Maddening!
He tried dozens of different computer chips.
Not that it mattered - the speedo stopped working in 50-miles anyway!
We finally gave up - the sad tale of how I came out of this financially- makes me (and my wife) cry!
Would I buy another one? Guess!

It blows my mind how most moto-vloggers do not know how to ride. No offense. I like the channel. (And others) but. In my opinion most and i mean most moto-vloggers don't deserve these opportunities. And im not talking about this guy exclusively. But there's people out here who can really test ride and SELL these motorcycles. And give the viewer accurate feedback. Someone who can tell the viewer exactly what to expect because they themselves have done it all. They have the motorcycle knowledge, a high motorcycle IQ, experience in all terrains. To me reviews like this are just showing u the bike and sound, with some facts about it. Nothing about the reason!! It was made! The actual character! The potential. I don't get it.

Guzzi make great bikes. But on the East Coast, Piaggio group dealers fucking suck. Piaggio bikes don't have good enough reliability for me to just take a chance on a garbage dealer. I loooove Aprilias and Guzzis but I can't trust putting a bunch of money down on a new one. I love this bike and I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh. But the mechanical body wings and brand new engine make me very nervous. If anyone from Piaggio reads this, please stop neglecting the US market and invest in better dealers. You can't sell bikes here if you don't instill confidence in buyers. Great review.

Well Americans are for straight roads, also how you use the clutch, learn to use the first two fingers on the lever and other two, plus thumb, holding the handlebar. If the clutch is to stiff, just hold the handlebar more on the edge.......level law. This way you"HOLD THE BIKE" and still have control. 4 fingers for Clutch and brakes is for loosers!! HAHAHAHA
