I was in the first Green G82 M4 you overtook on that video. Shows just how excessively early I was breaking, I'm still quite new to this and was going a little easy as first time with the nannies fully off. Hopefully one day I'll be able to carry as much speed through the corners as you are, the speed delta was pretty big. Some fast guys at that track evening. Any pointers/tips would be very welcome.
That’s great and good on you for getting nannies off. Just enjoy it, I’d keep Nannie’s on too unless you’re really confident with doing huge skids 😂 I’ve heard they’re brilliant on G8x Was your car stock?
@@samellio Only by turning them off did I realise how much MDM works the rear pads, well that and the wear on the pads. Its quite liberating having TC off, at least in the dry and I did build a little more pace towards the end of the day. The XDrive (4wd sport mode) no doubt provides some backup too. Cars not quite stock. Running the following performance enhancing mods Stage 1 remap (Helpful on straight but requires light touch elsewhere) Front castor bushes Rear Toe Arms Fast Road Alignment EBC RPX front pads, Bluestuff rears And the following non performance enhancing mods Remus Exhaust MST Intake Ebiach lowering springs Some fresh rubber will be next on this list possibly followed by front camber plates (think its only at -1.5 at the front atm)
That’s a perfect list of mods! I also run the RPX pads, all you need. Camber plates really worth doing if you’re planning on a few track days, then good to go. I’ve had my F82 for 6 years, first thing I did was camber plates. Then got a map and only last month changed suspension. If I was running G8X I’d do the same, the stock suspension looks really good 👍
Running AD09 at 28 psi hot, 275/3019 fr, 295/3019 rear. My first time with them and I think they're going to be great. Seems they don't like to be too hot, lapping in high 52 when sub 50c, then low 53 when sub 100c. Really enjoyed how they felt on the car!
