Hello sir. I want to thank you for taking your time to post these videos. I've watched several and I have learned a lot. I'm trying to get my son interested in engineering so I'm using what I'm learning to apply to that endeavor.

Come one, motor can run both clockwise and counterclockwise. You only have to reverse el. current on one of the motor windings and leave el. current on the other winding unchanged. When you exchange wires on the battery you reverse el. current on both windings, so rotation direction does not change. Olso, keep in mind that if motor nominal voltage is 220V and you apply only 12V (18.33 times lower voltage), you get only a very small fraction (1/336, in power of 2). of it's nominal power. So, if for exsample nominal power is 2000 watts, you get only around 6 watts. But you can rewind the motor to make it's nominal voltage 12V, or use 18 ~19 12V batteries conected in series to get 216 ~ 228V DC, or use 2000 - 3000 watt 12V DC to 220V AC converter to make motor run in full power. BE CAREFUL, VOLTAGE HIGHER THAN 50V IS CONCIDERED TO BE DANGEROUS TO HUMAN LIFE.

Would 12v be suitable battery spec for running a 220-240V DC mortor?especially when the mortor is supposed to do a grinding operation using a plate mill.

1 why are those black wires that is connected to the left middle and lower terminals for.if they are not going to be used.
2 finally the motor runs only by connecting the right middle and lower terminals to the battery.

Please use two different dc power source, one for field winding and other for armature winding, then reverse the polarity in any of the winding, and you can change the direction of rotation, if possible please make a video on that
Doesn’t have to be 2 different sources. You should be able to do it like a golf cart.

what did you mean by connection the motor to the battery charger ? is the battery charger was connected to the house electricity ? or to a battery and it worked like an inverter ? can you explain ? and if I did your way with the wires and used more batteries to reach about 110v will I get more torque and rpm without using an inverter to converter 12v to 220 ?

How do I add another set of power wires to the motor. Ex: So I can power it up from one side and GIVE power to something from the other set of wires
keep it mind a washing machine motor is actually a universel motor it can runs both ac or dc and also runs any voltage if you want but the higher limit is 240v same as vacuum cleaner motors

10 x ( 12 v,12amps batteries ) each connected in series or 5 x 24 volt batteries connected in series 12A each.
Or
Buy a powerful boost converter with one big 150 ah 12 volt truck battery.
Although, I am not sure if that much powerful boost converter is available in the market and again their losses.

No, there's always loss. Newtons laws and such. Object in motion can go in motion forever unless another force. There's multiple factors that affect the EMF (electromotive Force) Eddy's currents, resistance, line loss, and many more. Lots of formulas, but no. Everytime you change state in term of ac-dc (rectify) or dc-ac(invert) it causes power loss due to heat and inefficiency. They only way it's possible is by using diodes and resistors to "burn off" voltage (on purpose) to reach a certain voltage.
