Your way works for 127k people keep doing what you're doing. Not matter which way you troubleshoot your problems the end result is always the same. AMAZING
I am very glad you've done it your way Doug. I see a lot of videos on the internet, but am always happy you got a new one. Amazing, wood I would throw away you turn into something beautiful as this. What I don't understand though, is 2,5k views and only 586 likes at this moment. You deserve much better. Have a wonderful weekend, my friend and thank you for sharing. 👍👍👍
I'm always gonna do it my way, I'm just poking at the people that keep telling me I would have done it like this, and think that, that is the only way it can be done, lol that is people just not paying attention to how they can help me out, you have a great weekend also
This bowl was a project made with love. It’s beautiful! Love the wood shape with the color of resin you picked. Very unique! There was a point I became super nervous when you said to hang on! Oy, don’t do that again! I was praying the bowl survived the process. Clearly it survived and it’s beautiful! Whoever gets this will be lucky! Job well done!
Hi Dougggggggggg!!!!!!!The bowl is so beautiful! I don't think it's rustic, it's really gorgeous and so shiny. Love the close ups! I do see the eye! Thanks for sharing!
Nothing wrong with multipart videos. Not having to wait for a second part is always nice, but I'm just happy when you upload. Always look forward to it.
A wonderful bowl! I see this red lava resin and think: "Oh my god, this is the Aether from Thor - The Dark Kingdom!" (One of my favourite movies.) Thanks for sharing the process with us, I love to see how something so stunning is coming into being... multipart or not. I´m looking forward to every single video you upload!
Teals, greens and blues are my favorite colors but you definitely have a way of making me want red as my new favorite! Yet another beautiful piece. I like the rustic look. It adds character and dimension. Glad you were able to stay safe!
Doug, this bowl turned out just beautiful. I love how you took something that was bound for the fireplace and turned it into this amazingly gorgeous bowl. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Was worth the wait, turned out to be another great looking piece 👍👍👍 even though it fought you part of the time. Thanks so much for time to make these. Ready for the next one. Have a good one!
My two cents? If you plan for two- or multi- part projects interspersed with one episode projects, I think you would expand your creative possibilities. I *also* think that your loyal fans would look forward to seeing what you come up with. You do you!
yeah my loyal fan do not care, they like it all, but there is always someone that has to make a crappy comment, I will always do me !!!!!!!!!! Thanks again for watching Victoria
Nothing wrong with that bearing, Doug. Everybody knows that! LOL. That was quite the bumpy ride you took us on there! Nice looking piece. I just took down 8 trees on my property line. I will bring you a few pieces next time we are out your way! Going to check out Claire's channel now. Buh By!
The sanding sealer really makes the colours pop. Is it only me that sees the old woman's face at the 10 min 55 sec mark followed by the young girls face looking down at 11 min 13sec? Gorgeous......
i really like how the wood looks after soaking up all that resin. and i don’t mind the long videos at all, totally worth it! the more content the better! although i did miss the real time clip but i get it was already pretty long.
Your lathe has been grinding for a while , but it's like an old straight six , ya can't kill it with a stick. The bowl turned out great though... worth the wait. And it stayed on the lathe ... woot. That red was brilliant and the high gloss finished made it shimmer. Doug to the rescue again. 8D
Mate you keep doing you. How you want to do things is pretty dam awesome if you want my opinion. I for one have learnt so much from watching your channel. I thought it looked good and with how crap the wood was you have produced an awesome piece. Thanks again for an entertaining clip. always look forward to your clips and your humor. Cheers, Bruce.
Thank you Bruce, I appreciate that! I still get badgered about why didn't you stabilize it with cactus juice first, they don't seem to understand I have to purchase that cactus juice and the total boat stuff is FREE to me. they again they also thing their way is the only way
Gosh, you and this bowl had a tussle. Great to see the perseverance with the end result being beautiful (I am a red head, so red things always get a thumbs up from me 😂) As a very, very newbie, I am always amazed at how many turners take things to the very edge and continue to be brave enough to carry on.
Reminds us none of us is perfect. Some of us appreciate the imperfections. Lord knows I have my own laundry list of those. 🤣😂 nice recovery imo buddy, well done.
I don't know how you do this stuff, but you are amazing. Everything you do is so beautiful. You bring old wood back to amazing life.
THATS A GREAT LOOKING BOWL DOUG .AND A FUN VIDEO TO WATCH. THANK BUDDY FROM THE OTHER DOUG 🤓🤓🤓

Doug, this bowl turned out just beautiful. I love how you took something that was bound for the fireplace and turned it into this amazingly gorgeous bowl. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Thank You Eileen, I don't think that piece of wood was even worthy of the fireplace ! LOL
Its PRETTY! I like the red resin with the wood. I also like the rustic look as you call it. It makes the bowl a one-of-a-kind look! Thanks Doug!
