So to me it remains ambiguous if he meant 'I don't think this series needs to be thought about' or 'I don't think it is hard to figure out why it is so popular'.

And if you check the lyrics' meaning at the wikia, 90% of the lyrics are references from the characters itself, what happened around them or what they have done. Many might not notice, but there are a lot of brief historical lessons to learn in the rap battles. That is probably why I love them the most.

My favorites: Rasputin vs. Stalin (vs. Lenin vs. Gorbachev vs. Putin), Tesla vs Edison and Blackbeard vs. Capone.

Honestly, these rap battles are good at teaching history. Not in, and of, themselves, but they have inspired me, more than a few times, to do some research on the subjects of the battle. The battle with Newton Vs Nye even got me to research the basics of calculus (I'm only 13 years old), and I actually understand the concepts quite well.
