Wonderful ! Just Wonderful ! I've heard of those kits but I've never seen one before. I'd read they were fantastic but this is the first build video I've seen. Thanks for sharing this rare kit with us.
hey Alex i like the new graphics and the music is cool as usual. Great build. The T-6 was the airplane my Father trained in when he became a pilot in the U.S. Air Force.
Me neither, but the old Monogram kit is still available and would look good in these marking which I guess you could get aftermarket, or make on your computer.
I have an Occidental kit and wanted to do a metal finish but, the plastic surface is so rough I'd have to sand it all smooth first. Quite a bit of work.
I like your channel and look forward to your builds. I bought this model at a show a couple of years ago. I was attracted to the unique subject matter. I'm lucky to own to own it. Probably not too many of them in the US.
Nice kit, beautiful build! Top tip: make seat belts from lead foil, they last longer, the tape ones have a "shelf life" and become dry and brittle with age. The foil ones will last "forever", of course there are photo-etch brass ones too, but the lead is easier to work with, and "free" with a bottle of wine; just color them, and scrape off color for the buckles shiny color. I'm guessing you can find some wine somewhere where you live right? Save the top lead foil wrapper and figure out what to do with that "pretty colored liquid" inside the bottle! :D
@@AlexModeling I knew that! Just "pulling your leg"! Isn't it wonderful to re-purpose other products for model builds? And most are "free" or come with "side benefit", like wine top foil wrapper!! I use that foil in lots of other places too, where a small photo- etch piece might be required, like in interior instruments or outside as inspection panels :)
Great work Alex.can i make a request.could you build an JF-17/Fc-1 Thunder. No one on you tube has built one yet.The kit is by trumpeter and is available in 1/72 and 1/48.
a true gem of a model alex! the metal finish is superb :) never came across that company before. the colonial wars are an interesting subject with lots of odd weaponry deployed.
+Hamilkar Barkas I know you have read and heard about our colonial war Michael, and i can tell you its a very interesting subject to study, military and even socialy speaking! Ocidental was a great company but unfortunatly didn t managed to fight with the big ones! Nice to see you my friend and thank you!
Just subbed to your channel. Looks like you have some interesting stuff here. Great job on the Texan sir! I'm starting a channel soon and am inspired by what you do here. Very nice work!
like always you did an outstanding job there Alex ;-) really love it and the markings are just great, seems to be a very nice model and well designed. Sad this company does not exist anymore
jean grieten Alex, can you gives a list of the "Ocidental" kits.??? Besides the T-6, I have a "Spitfire" Mk.9, (misteriously ALL came whitout decals), and some boats.!!!! What else.??
It's a shame they are no longer around. It would be nice to see more Portuguese subjects, especially when you consider Portugal's on and rich history.......... I suppose it's the old story with kit manufacturers, if it's not 'German or Sherman' it won't sell.........!
Alex, the rear of those prop. blades, should be, ( and where) anti-glare matt black.!!! I know, that sometimes, in the museums and a/c displays, the true collors are not correct, but I have be with them in Africa, and I remember the real thing.!!! Also, the blades allways ad yellow tips, (for safety), and the D/F loop antenna covering where matt black fiber glass, (not painted metalic aluminium), for obvious reasons.!!!!! Also, for your information, those engines carters,(the centre where the prop. shaft emerges, where ALLWAYS medium grey enamel, (gloss), and the F.A.P. have in all "Texan" and "Harvard" planes, the central part of the landing flaps INOP,locked shut, for whathever reason, only being operatives the wing flaps.!!! BTW, the "Texan" and "Harvards", do have different exhaust stacks, and different glass pannels,(different framming), in the canopies.!!! The Air Force guys, joquinglly, called them "ours F-110's", b'cause they make 110kts clibing, 110kts cruising, and 110lts descenting.!!!!!! ( Of course, you know that F-110, was the ORIGINAL designation of the Mc'Donnell F4 "Phantom" for the USAF, before they used the same designation for all the services.)!!! Cheers.! A.Rodrigues.
Александр Буторин CORRECT.!!!! And back of props with matt black, with yellow tips, and matt black in the D/F antenna.!!! Central flap never in use in F.A.P.!!!
