I’m closing in on my retirement and I’d like to move from Regina to a warmer climate, but the prices on homes are stupidly ridiculous and Mortgage prices has been skyrocketing on a roll(currently over 7%) do I just invest my spare cash into stock and wait for a housing crash or should I go ahead to buy a home anyways?
This is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors i can get on the phone with? i'm in dire need of proper portfolio allocation.
There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’ Carol Vivian Constable” for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
I just looked her up on the internet and found her webpage with her credentials. I wrote her a outlining my financial objectives and planned a call with her.
It’s like every time you turn on the news, you hear about how much worse it’s getting. Prices for food, energy, rent-it’s all going through the roof, and wages just aren’t keeping up.
My cousin lives in one of those areas, and she’s really struggling. She’s had to make some tough choices, like whether to pay for heating or food. It’s just not right that people have to live like this.
The worst part is that it feels like there’s no relief in sight. Even small expenses are starting to add up in ways they didn’t before. I’ve had to cut back on things I never thought twice about, just to make sure I can cover the essentials
I’ve been looking at ways to manage our budget better, but there’s only so much you can do when prices keep rising. It’s exhausting trying to figure out what to cut next.
I started looking for ways to make my money work harder, even considering investing what little I can. But it’s hard to know where to start, especially when every penny counts.
I’m borderline homeless. Weird that I see people in a documentary on poverty as lucky because even with no heating they at least have a home. What a mess this country is in

Definitely, the current economic instability is causing a lot of concern. With factors like trade tensions and fluctuating markets, it's hard to predict what's coming next.

@@piggerGg Not so . Ian Duncan Smith was given the job by Blair and Brown , and thus made the scape-goat . He eventually resigned in protest over how the disabled were indeed being treated . The true architects of clamping down on the incapacitated were Gordon Brown , T Blair , and that blind idiot whose name I have forgotten , ( still riding the gravy-train and then some ) ......... Incidentally , in the very same year Brown created a new benefit for mothers called ' working tax credits ' , although it didn't matter whether the mother's worked or not : £ 330 quids monthly for each and every child . Not bad unemployment if you can get it . It is interesting to note , the working tax credit thing appeared just at the time Brown's partner was having babies . The 'cost of living' crisis should not be called that as it implies it's the fault of all the ordinary people earning middle to low incomes. Let's start calling it what it really is, a cost of greed crisis! Greed of corporations, millionaire/billionaire investors, the banking industry, and a government that works hard on their behalf.
No its caused by stupid and lazy people who are unable to get any job other than unskilled minimum wage jobs and blame others for it. That is why they are poor they are shameless.
The money is there. Socialism for the rich and the poor get poorer. Why there isn't mass uprising in the streets i will never understand? No. The prices are increasing and yet...the owners of these big corporations are receiving big bonus.🤔🤔 Doesn't add up? This "cost of living" crisis is a myth and we are being screwed. There should be NO food banks in one of the richest countries in the world.
Think you’ll find the UK is one of the poorest countries in the world , after all it has £ 3 000,000,000 trillion debts . But don’t let that fact deter socialists like you to think they are owed more
the reason that no ones in the streets is because they've been under near absolute propaganda since birth. i mean we're all free to say what we want, but when money controls who gets *heard* then you might as well be in north korea
100% it is greed. There is plenty of food and much of it gets thrown away. There is no reason why anyone goes hungry. The fact that cost of living has gone up but wages have not is insane. Something is going to give.

The biggest most single problem in the UK today is private landlords, particularly the buy-to-let mortgage landlords. Affordable housing is a thing of the past as long as the government allows landlords to increase rent on an annual basis at ridiculous sums of £50 per month increases without giving any extra amenities. What the government should be doing is bringing landlords under tougher regulation with fairer rents.
Nope, as a private landlord, and someone that studied economics. I can say the following, the Bank of England is the biggest cause of misery, the BoE raises interest rates, so landlords pay more for their mortgage and pass on the cost to the renter. If the BoE didn’t raise interest rates I wouldn’t raise rent. If you can afford the rent that I am request, please evacuate the house and go to an affordable house, it’s the mentally of the free market.
It's this attitude that caused the housing crisis in the first place. If you expect landlords to behave like charities, no-one will want to be one. There has to be something in it for landlords. That's how you get a rental market with available properties.
@@Africa-q4k yep just like the FED in the United States. I knew 25 years ago that there would be no middle class one day we’re almost there. Job almost completed. It’s infuriating.
You are half right, it's more th quality that landlords offer for the money is shameful in my experience. Nothing wrong with trying to get a leg up in life, try and do the best buy buying a few properties and profiting. The fact is the opened the floodgates and everyone wanted a piece of the action, and it becomes a race to the bottom for anyone who didn't or couldn't afford to jump on the bandwagon - ultimately it only hurts private renters, who get the shaft on multiple counts.
@@Africa-q4kyou are typical of the blood sucking leeches that are causing the problems with your greed and unless you own a property outright you have no right renting it out as it does not belong to you. What they are fleeing is a failed state consequent of ideological tyranny and Islamic theocracy, values which the men (it's always men) generally share. Letting the boats sink and denying all asylum claims would save the tax payer millions, reducing the validity of any argument supporting austerity or the reduction of benefit payments, and would eventually save more lives as it is the ultimate deterrent for crossing. Not to mention the environmental benefits; less countryside desecrated for cut and paste homes, and less demand on the energy supply.
I recognize the hardships that come with economic struggles like unemployment, job loss, inflation, housing market instability, political uncertainties, and the global impact of conflicts and wars. Making ends meet during such times can be incredibly challenging. To navigate this difficult period, considering alternative job prospects, enhancing skills through online courses, and expanding your network can heighten the chances of securing employment. Moreover, prudent budgeting, exploring available financial aid programs, and seeking assistance from community organizations can offer some relief. How are you currently tackling these challenges? Have you implemented any specific strategies to cope?
In my opinion, now is not the moment to rely on hearsay. Every individual, regardless of their level of experience as an investor OR in a financial market, requires guidance at some stage.
It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.
Please tell me how can I connect to your advisor. My funds are being murdered by inflation, therefore I'm looking for a more profitable investing strategy to put my portfolio to work.

Who can afford a £600,000 tiny apartment? With soaring inflation, rising living costs, and the NHS burdened with long wait times, the UK is increasingly unlivable. Crime rates are up, and political instability, with five Prime Ministers in six years, adds to the turmoil. The housing market is inaccessible, education costs are crippling, and social issues like income inequality and mental health crises are worsening. Energy: Up and down the country we see more and more wind farms, more renewable energy more competition but the prices keep going up? 3. Food: Food portions are getting smaller but more expensive look how big things were 20-30 years ago at a fraction of the price. But now we get less for a stupidly high price. Just the 3 examples are huge because they affect every single one of us. They are squeezing everything they can out of us for one reason. GREED. Housing is very expensive in America, also. And buying a house is out of reach for the majority of American. More than half of Americans do not have $500 for emergency fund. This situation is a big problem in many developed countries. The future is scary.

In life, Everyone is just one second away from a change in status (sudden illness, sudden job loss, sudden accident, sudden loss of money...). Humility and Humanity; key words that we all need to take heed. Many Brits are just on the brink of becoming homeless. Just because you see one in a home does not mean they aren't suffering, like this lady who has shelter but no heat for six months, eat once a day etc., However, she should sell some of those things in her home to drum up money for bills. Many are actually homeless on the streets with just the clothes on their backs, whilst the illegal migrants receive shelter, food, clothing, money. Officials, do take care of the citizens first before others.
Homeless Briton's also get provided with emergency accommodation such as hostels, hotels, and shared housed. Obviously these places aren't exactly nice places to be and some homeless prefer being on the street to them.
Unfortunately the money doesn't " trickle down", to the people who need it , If the rich paid a fair amount of tax and a lot of waste was cut it might be a different story.
It's happening in most western nations, not just the US and UK. They've all created too much debt and too much inflation that has risen costs too fast for wages to keep up with.

This highlight's exactly why government's simply can't just give people hand out's, some one or big financial group, or huge property developer has clearly monopolised this situation. The average rental return on any property in England is 3-6 percent of value, annually, anybody can do that math. Someone or group is manipulating the system, and it does make the government look bad, but they are stuck between a rock and an even harder place as well. The landlords are profiteering.

My husband and I were feeling the same way, which is why we decided to talk to Eric Paul Elmer, our financial advisor.

The economic crisis is really worrying, especially with everything going on in the global economy.
Definitely, the current economic instability is causing a lot of concern. With factors like trade tensions and fluctuating markets, it's hard to predict what's coming next.
the pandemic has only exacerbated things. It's led to disruptions in supply chains and forced many businesses to shut down temporarily or even permanently.
That's true. And the ripple effects of these disruptions are felt worldwide. It's not just one country's problem; it affects everyone.
The massive government stimulus packages implemented to combat the pandemic's economic impact could have long-term consequences, like inflation.
Inflation is definitely a concern. It can erode people's purchasing power and make it harder for businesses to operate profitably.
The Tories knighted Ian Duncan Smith. His reward for helping to create poverty in the UK.
The butcher of the disabled

Rise up
The cost of living crisis is made up! The reason for the rise is greed. Take a look around.
1. Banks: There's less branches, less branch workers, less overheads but interest rates go up?
GREED. Untill company's are boycotted like Cadbury, BP and shell, withdraw your money from banks. The so called cost of living crisis will continue to get worse.
