Wow , Thank you so much I bought this gadjet at a Ross store but had no idea how to use it until your video. I make home made tortillas from corn masa harina but sometimes my family likes hard shells.
Love your channel 😀😀 im a 26 year old menonita mom living in mexico..and I love the authentic Mexican recipes you post! Cooking is my passion, and even though I cook almost about everything, there is always something new to learn and you're one of my favorite to watch 😃
Hi Laura! What brand was it you purchased? I like the shape and width of the ones yours tongs are making. The other tongs look like the taco shells will be too wide for my taste.
If they were chewy they were not ready yet. The way to fix that problem is easy. Just place them in the oven @250F let them bake slowly. They will get crispy. Just keep an eye out. Once they start turning golden brown they will burn fast. I hope that helps.
I've been looking at those gadgets on Amazon but the one thing I don't like about them is they leave that wire grid mark in them. I wonder why they don't make the tongs with solid sheet metal instead. It would get a much more authentic result.

Hello! How does it work with flour tortillas? Have you fried any with these molds? Thanks in advance!😉
I just love fried flout tortillas. Yes they work well. You must make sure the oil is at temp, or they will be greasy mess.

Does it matter what kind of oil?
I used avavado oil, they looked hard but we're chewy.

🌮Thank You Laura 👍 aura can you put that oil in some kind of a icontainer and reuse if itsits been only used a little?? 🌮
Hello thank you for watching. Yes you can resuse the oil. I place it in a mason jar and keep it in the frig, I never have a problem.
I am going to order those ... too easy, n I'm tired of getting burned.

But I don't have the tool
