  • This amazing layout requires the full attention of all who operate and control the trains here. Not your typical model railroad. It’s about as close to running a real railroad as you can get. Dave took 8-9 years to build this layout with all of the complex circuitry. Only a person with a stellar electronic background could do this, which he has. Just running trains myself complete with a controller and a radio was quite challenging. You will hear the radio transmissions between dispatcher and trains. All train operators have a controller and a small hand held radio

    I'd recently saw this video and i was so impressed of the video the way it was made with the HO scale model and the emergency radios as too in the rails. Also the other part was the train model in front of my eyes yep realization is the word in this case and i wished i were there that day.

    I absolutely loved this video, I watched the entirety of it, it’s very cool to see them using radios to communicate with each other just like in real life.

    With this many people who are this passionate about railroads in our country, there’s no excuse to not go above and beyond to build high speed rail. Our railroads need innovation, and these are the folks to do it.

    You're right Tim. Conrail 9345 used to run behind my house often, going to and from Frankford Junction, Bridesburg, etc.
    So, I've been railfanning since I was 3, technically. 😂

    Man I wish pine Aire was that big of a yard. Would make building the 60 trains a lot easier.

    Great video. Loved seeing all the old paint schemes. The New York & Atlantic Railway scheme is my favorite.
    Wonderful layout. Ah the fun of operations , it's a bit too much like work for me but I like to watch it.

    THIS IS AWESOME!!! I really like the vibe of the NY&A and to see it reproduced in HO is awesome. I'll be in NY for two weeks in June, wonder if an opportunity to see this beautiful layout will be abound by then.

    Thanks for a great tour! I'm getting the sense that the layout is based on LIRR but not strictly limited to those trains? Sorry if this was covered in the narration, I was watching with a lot of other ambient noise.

      One does not simply do NYAR without the LIRR.

    Say what you wanna say but I think HO scale it’s the most realistic model gauge fro trains

      My most preferred scale.

    • @Jeff-uj8xi
      @Jeff-uj8xi ปีที่แล้ว

      @@3985uprr My most preferred is "G" scale, although I do have quite a bit of "O" scale. I also have some "H O' but it's way too small for me.
      Who makes the LIRR MU cars? Where's the third rail?" At 15:48 on the time bar, I see two tracks with every fifth tie being a long one. Will those tracks get third rail? See tracks at 22:50 on time bar.
