Proof that the music of this day and age is not all autotuned, ripped from previous artists, or written by a team of nitwits. Kudos to you Gary, you are part of this industry's true soul.
I was watching chef the movie and suddenly i was mesmerised by this chap and im here to hear some more ,pleasantly surprised is all can say ;good on you Clarky😊😊
I saw Gray Clark Jr. this past Friday online streaming from Waterloo Records for SXSW. It was an awesome show. I usually don't get excited about SXSW because most of the bands are what I call "I have a cherry band." If you have ever seen Animal House where John Belushi smashed the guitar of some guy playing that airy-fairy song then you know what I mean. Gary blew the doors of the house. What a show! He puts his whole soul out there for you to see, touch, feel and hear. What an amazing man!
Chuminat0r you havent seen enough of him then. You gotta see him live to truly appreciate his skills on the gee-tar. I grew up with him, he played 8-10 hrs p/day every day in high school. He would play and play until his fingers were bloody. The dude is the real deal trust me.
This man is incredible.. I paid $35 to see him and didn't know Michael kiwanuka was opening for him.. also another blues band from NYC "Tangiers blues band" smooth guitar playing and band lead is smooth .. guy from Toms River was awesome 👏🏻 💯🎸
Honestly think his acoustic version is so much better because the rock version doesn't really match the and iiiiii part think it's better with a soft acoustic vibe :) Just my opinion tho love his music looking forward to more.
"Gary needs to pull his notes out of the mud and apply an Eric Gale or Eric Johnson rapid burst of notes"?!?! What a laugh. Your in the wrong place friend. I thought it sounded better in the mud... but i guess theres always somebody who tells everyone what its "supposed to sound like" even though Gary wrote it and played it how he felt, with mistakes included. Keep it coming Gary =)
Si, asi es, he visto varios comentarios al respecto.. mira sus video de la cancion de George Harrison..while my guitar gently weeps. Te la recomiendo y su presentacion en el festival the Eric Clapton "crossroads" cantando la cancion bright lights. saludos
check out his tune - please come home - at dave matthews chicago carnival. he plays a mean solo. but just like you said it's mroe important that he puts the music first not his ego
First time I listened to the album version I thought "Apparently The Black Keys + Hendrix would be a nice gathering". Hendrix's geniality aside, of course.
Critisize all u like. He should do this n that. Shut up. Since when did music hap a map or instructions. Since when was blues taught. Its pain. His pain makes music. N its great.
Fuk he just hammers that shit hard. He will be legandary. U can see it wen he just losses himself n just eyes closed n goes for it. He aint performing. Hes releasing
@JoshyFoxyFox He's a very talented guitarist with a pretty smooth voice, I'm not sure why you're dismissing him with a comment about his bandanna. Maybe you don't like this style of music.
the style of Gale or Eric Johnson is not the only way of play guitar dude!, Gary have his style and is very different, and is fine.. like any musician.. are different things
10 years and about 5 accounts later and I still love this !!!
This is my favorite version still, to this day.
Proof that the music of this day and age is not all autotuned, ripped from previous artists, or written by a team of nitwits. Kudos to you Gary, you are part of this industry's true soul.

TheSenorNerd Live At Glastonbury version of this song is the best.
Cuando escuche a Gary Clark por primera vez, pensé que era The Black Keys, en sus inicios .
❤️❤️❤️💪💪💪👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
boom shazzam, amazing folk-hendrix win!
i want this guitar
Fantastic.
If you listen at the end, he plays the open strings from top to bottom, you may be able to work it out by listening to that.
He better PLAY THAT DAMN GUITAR!! LOL I LOVE IT!
The Truth.
"Gary needs to pull his notes out of the mud and apply an Eric Gale or Eric Johnson rapid burst of notes"?!?! What a laugh. Your in the wrong place friend. TCBC He is the best! Anyone know what are the chords and strum
Blues.
It's amazing to think that some of these views must be from John Mayer, Dave Grohl or even Clapton
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💪💪💪💪
So annoying the camera movements.. I like to see dat guitar plays... and camera made us loose the best parts..
That cameraman a clown like top comment says
Like!
That’s what your ear is for my friend
I came here to say the exact same thing.
I hate when people misspell "lose".
Si, asi es, he visto varios comentarios al respecto..
mira sus video de la cancion de George Harrison..while my guitar gently weeps. Te la recomiendo y su presentacion en el festival the Eric Clapton "crossroads" cantando la cancion bright lights.

I Am Obligated To Share This Song & His Music!!!
Anybody know what model that guitar is? I haven't seen it before... I like it ;)
HAHAH!!! GOT EM!!
Whoa! cool how he wears a bandana on his arm... is that what makes him so good?
That's it.....500k views. Really!!!!!
Sometimes top rated comments get a bigger smile out of me than the video itself does :D
check out his tune - please come home - at dave matthews chicago carnival. he plays a mean solo. but just like you said it's mroe important that he puts the music first not his ego
Awesome song and performance. Too bad the cameraman is a clown. Horribly annoying is the constant zooming in and out and focus adjustments. 👎
Missed him in Paris. Next time...
Sounds way better on electric, gain so much guitar rhythm and genre influences from this man, genius
@dounia439 when his album drops this year, that's when everyone will catch up.
First time I listened to the album version I thought "Apparently The Black Keys + Hendrix would be a nice gathering". Hendrix's geniality aside, of course.
Does anyone know if tabs are available of this session, would really like to learn this song. Gary is awesome :)
This
Anyone know which tuning this is in?
sounds so incredible!
sohanmaheshwar most blues guys play half step down from standard or open g, i think this is just half stepped, but most of his live album is open g
Critisize all u like. He should do this n that. Shut up. Since when did music hap a map or instructions. Since when was blues taught. Its pain. His pain makes music. N its great.

He's so much cooler than me it's ridiculous.
