Hendrix was Hendrix...Gary Clark, Jr. is Gary Clark, Jr. Let's stop comparing and sit back and let the music take us into a journey. That's what it's all about. Let's all be lucky to have had Jimi and have him as a breath of fresh air 42 years later. Cheers!
aaaaand, now I've found a new artist to binge listen. holy crap he's good.
I know right
Yes he is amazing. He is coming to Reno soon. I would love to see him but tickets are spendy.
This is my all time favorite version of this song I’ve ever heard
Of all the versions and mixes, this one is by far the best for this song.
Rudolph Mare sounds Purdy goot, but sheck out the jam in the van version
If you have a chance to see him live don't miss out, excellent show.
This band plays really well together. Love to see them live.
Wish his album was more like this
most of the tracks on both of his albums are badass
Dont forget Catfish blues on the live album :)
Every new version i hear of 'When my Train pulls in', it gives me chill. I listen to many performance of this song and still i can listen to it more version. It looks like every performance by Gary, he tries new thing and it just gets amazing.
When so much has already been said before in the genre of blues, it takes a great artist like Gary Clark Jr to come and make it sound fresh again. Fantastic stuff.
This man is such a talented musician and is going down a path to extreme stardom!
Why? just why? why didn't I ever hear these chaps before? This needs to be everywhere. Hendrix influence is visible but that's an awesome thing. Very few people are keeping that vibe alive. Just amazing guys. Pure brilliance!
this guy's music is going to last for a long time... timeless and classy
That full band really lets the songs hang out.
Myiphone5 I started listening to him when he was doing the two piece stuff, by hanging out I mean spread out, ya know?
+Parson Wilkerson I understand what your saying man.
What an awesome drummer too!
These live room sessions are nice and really well done. Its a look at him in a setting where he can relax so you get a real personal feel. Great job!
Phenomenal musician! The blues are alive and well.

GARY CLARK JR é simplesmente SUPER. Thank for you talent, guy! 🙏 God Bless you!
Absolutely your best version/take on this song.
so far this is the best live version of this song! awesome!
I first saw him at Crossroads 2010 when he played "Bright Lights" and he completely awed everyone there. He's talented!
No one could ever be Mr Hendrix again, I'm sure Mr Clark would say the same. One if a kind for his time. Gary is bad azz for our time.
GOOD GOD! This is probably the best version I've seen!!! Thank you
Oh God ! you glide on Jimmy's spirit ,man !!!!
O Melhor Blues Contemporâneo, que já ouvi,,sucesso.
Awesome! Better than the studio version.
I just saw Gary on Austin City limits not too long ago... what a player! I don't
know if he's channeling Jimi, Albert or whoever and I don't care. Anybody that
doesn't like the Blues is missing out big time on this very talented young man.
It's a crime more people have not heard of him
to be fair, the camera work is spectacular
Gary Clark Jr. ~ Future of the Blues !
My generation is not lost....hold on people, music isn't dead just yet
WE NEED MORE OF THIS!!!
His unorthodox picking makes the guy even more remarkable!
I saw him and Clapton together, here in Brazil. No words could describe the moment...
A Bucket List must.

Well said.
Well said, indeed !
I disagree. Not saying I don't like Gary Clark Jr, but if you think the music today sucks, you are not listening enough. Yeah most of what you hear on top 40 isn't that good, but there is a ton of music that has come out in the past few years that is great.
davidtomamusic Very True. I try to tell people this all the time.
