Thanks for showing the passenger side. Other top search results only showed the driver side. Going to help me out a lot. Driver side they all pulled out from the side (towards transmission) and I was going to attempt the same on the passenger side. Luckily I already have my wheel cover off too so this should be painless. Fingers crossed.
My man. After seeing this i had no excuse to wait for someone to do it for me and got off my butt and did it myself in a few hours. Everyone elese on youtube makes this so complicated and all i have is basic tools to do this. Just got done right now and saying thanks for the video!
I have been needing to change my mounts for a while but afraid to start the job but after watching this video I feel better. Only thing I’m worried about is putting the bolts in after lifting engine. What if the engine gets offline and can’t get bolts back in 😬
@@mardakworkshop4450 Yeah it wasn’t to bad. I should have left the 3 mount to frame bolts out on both sides and lifted the engine would have given me much more room on the Passenger side. Anyway, in 12 years of ownership I haven’t spent much on my truck.
And that's how you do the passenger side STOP FILM- CUT TO PASSENGER MOUNT ALREADY IN PLACE... wow the only thing i needed was help on how to get the new mount it BACK IN, and you cut that entire part out.
@@mardakworkshop4450 Well I do appreciate your video, and I should have started my comment with that, so let me be the one to apologize, to you. I spent about 2 hours on my 2009 Tahoe PPV just trying to get the passenger mount back in. I had to finally install it WITHOUT the heat shield, which will limit its lifetime. I don't understand how you got yours in with the shield on it? I removed everything except the AC unit, and had that engine jacked up until it wouldn't go any higher. Doing drivers side today, wish me luck!
@@mardakworkshop4450 it's an oil pan....not a lifting point. But I guess you can get another $300 out of you're customers when you crack their oil pan, right? "It was like that before"....that's the classic response from dirt floor mechanics.
Victor King Jr It is my car and remember you’re not lifting the whole car only lifting the engine little bit so there’s no problem with that I’ve been doing that for most of the cars
thanks for the help. better video than most. hope you got your house built.:)

Thanks, my 4 wheel drive will be a pain in my bottom, and maybe a few cramps.

Hey Jpeg could you assist me with the size of the bolts that go from the mount to the motor?
@@reginalddaniel9492 15mm
@@h1m1ko 15mm head size right? I need to purchase new bolts as well and just want to make sure i get the right ones
@@reginalddaniel9492 15mm all around for the three bolts that go into the frame and the four that go into the motor.
I'm digging the flip flops.
Good job and good luck for your life enjoy with your work

Bobby Drake No it is adjustable

Comarade Lee yes that is easy

I did the driver’s side, but after fighting 100+ degrees, I let someone else do the Passenger side.
driver side is easy

You missed crucial step as to put the 4 bolts back on driver side before lowering engine mount

Does anyone have the torque spec for the mount bolts?
"All-the-way" ft/lbs
@@stevejhorton Engine block side is 37 ft/lbs., Frame Bolts is 48 ft/lbs

cdurch1 i think the idea is the lift the engine with one side engine mounting is tide
this is way easier than a four wheel drive suburban
Sure is lol
Jack in the center of the oil pan....... absolutely the worst idea.

Safe for steel pans of course but cast aluminum not as safe. Yeah you may get lucky but that’s risky. Just did the same job
