Disappointed you didn’t use the seed slotter tool on the last job 😂
Managed to do an overseed of my lawn yesterday with your grass seed and top dressed with field no5 and to level out a few areas. That stuff is unbelievable it like spreading butter and absolutely no stones or debris at all. Thanks for sourcing Field for us viewers and the 10% discount was very welcome. Thanks Dan 👍👍🙏🙏
I’d like to get some of that but it’s so expensive to get it delivered to Surrey …. Shame there’s nowhere local I can pick it up 😕
@@bbr9707I bit the bullet and had a pallet of 10x 40 litre bags delivered to Cheshire a couple of weeks ago, expensive yes but excellent quality top dressing compost. 👍
@@bbr9707 absolutely but you get what you pay for and in terms of how often you are likely to use a compost or topsoil on a lawn. It maybe once a year or every 2 years it works out cheap for the quality of product over time. There are cheaper products for sale but the amount of crap in them is beyond belief and every stone is potential damage to your lawnmower blades. It comes down to what you want from a lawn. Personally I'm looking to produce a high level of deep green grass quality, a level lawn and one that looks stunning when cut so i am prepared to pay that extra which broken down over time is pence a week. Good luck 👍
@@warrenstanford7240 ditto I'm in Cheshire too and decided I wanted a quality top dressing even if it is more expensive and oh boy is it good. Plus customer service was top notch. I literally didnt rake one stone or stick out of it and it spread a lot further than others ive used before so i used less bags of field than normal. 👌
The God of lawns. This guy is so good!! Genius.
A lot of work in that huge job with your machines!
Great videos but would be good to cover issues and pests on the lawn - especially getting rid of ants in the lawn - the bain of my life for the past 5 years.
TH-cam is upto something, I didn't get notifications for this one, didn't even show me a new video was out. 🤔
They are all looking good though Daniel and hope you're feeling good.
I thought I’d seen all the cool tools for lawns. But I didn’t expect the brush attachment.
I am amazed at the results of all the project lawn. Very well done and I can’t wait for this rain to seize up a bit so I can get mine done.
Thanks for the content Dan.
And sharing your wisdom
Looking forward to seeing former bbl and the posh job
Glad it wasn’t just me that was frustrated with the folded eBay fleece, thought I was just being soft but you’ve made me feel better now 👍🏼. Just waiting for my liquids to turn up today and start next stage in the “Dan Hibbert Process”, thank you!
Wasnt end of the world but prefer licking out and thats it like, this better for transporting though
Singing “ Ask” by The Smiths, quality.
That last lawn looks really good!
The work you do is truely awsome - what is most impressive to me though, is the speed of your results - here you are the supreme ruler! 👑
League 1 again mate and we couldn't get through oxford either, see you again next season up the posh💙
Played the worst we could of possibly played, the stat came true, the same three teams who lost in last years play offs bolton, barnsley , peterborough all lost in play offs again!!
I know mate it s a hard league to get out but your time will come, peterborough can't hack the champ if thay get there😄👍
A very satisfying video wow that last lawn some area to cover real graft that but hey looks brill
Great updates. I think you should sport a beret ready for the crew Dan! That Wembley lawn you can tell is going to special
Love your accent as much as your lawns.
Mega video. That’s one big job at the end. Take care Dan
I’d need a ride-on mower for that last job, brilliant results as per usual Dan.
Hi Daniel. Yes, that's what I intend to do. Weed killer on at lunch time. Thank you. Love the channel and your lawns!
Looking top drawer mate. Looking forward to seeing how brilliant it’s gonna turn out😉
Brilliant video, it’s great to see all the lawns at their different stages and what you’re doing at each job. Currently at 20 days on from renovation and coming along nicely
Good hope you have great success too
Finally done my renovation today Dan, it's such graft can't imagine what you did on the Bolton job. I've used fleece for first time due to sycamore debris and wood pigeons. Two weeks time I'll know if it's worth it. Thanks for your advice and know how mate 👍
Good luck look forward to hearing about the results
Not sure whether to thank you or curse you but you have now made me obsessive about our lawn. All the best to you Dan, love your videos 👍🏼
Thank me
Great Job dome on the Posh Job.
Imteresting how well it looks withoit having to Top dress.
I wonder what would have happened if you did not cover either.?
Birds would of eaten all the seed lol
well done daniel
I’ve not long done a renovation on my lawn… but my issue now is millions of slugs are taking over 😮 is there anything I can spray or rotary spread to get rid of them ? Also have a dog… will seaweed do anything to get rid of the slugs as thinking about the dog safe treatments etc.
Not lawn related…. But given I love your videos Dan, Bolton 😂😂😂
This is my lunch time sorted 😂
can you do a video on hints and tricks turning a heavy lawn mower when changing direction
seem to have scorch marks , doing a 3 point turn so to speak
Could use a thin board or something to turn on?
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert wow never thought of that, thank you sir
Hi Daniel, your videos have brought my lawn maintenance to another level. Question the other day you mentioned that the Hayter on level 3 was cutting at about 35 mil. What mill is level 2 cutting at.
Not sure tbh lower than 30mm
All the gardens look amazing Dan. You work so hard and your results show that. I know why you planted Alyssum in that border. Bolton play in white. Are you going to plant other gardens with other teams colours? Hmmm??😆
No it was my parents garden my first memory of bedding
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert did they have Lobelia and Ageratums too?
@@elisabethhopson5639 they did have lobellia and not familiar with the secone one
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert All 3 are classic bedding plants that are relatively easy to grow. They always look good no matter what you do to them (other than starve them of water). Ageratums are usually a purpley blue colour. Hope yours do well.
Have you got a link to the lawn sheets you used when sowing the new lawn? I can’t seem to find the right one to buy anywhere
best of luck trotters
Cracking video dan, just got your drainage in a bag for my clay soil. Should i wait for the lawn to be established after seeding? Keep up the good work
No put it on whenever sooner the better
I hope everyone is paying for your T-shirt space Dan. You’re looking like an F1 driver. Top vid as always mate!
Its a f1 inspired tshirt! Nope its all free space, all the businesses who have gone that extra mile for me getting rewards
I was thinking the same but surely the back of his t-shirt should be in the style of a football kit with ‘Field Compost 5’ written on it???
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpertfair play mate. 👍
Come on you U's. Side note, if I can't justify using all of your products to a client is there an order of importance i.e. which ones would be most beneficial after a lawn reno. Cheers Dan
Equilibrium and Dans magic id say
Perfect that’s what I was thinking. Gutted I can’t make the match as I’m away down under. Using lots of liquid fert and wetting agents here. Ever thought of adding any irrigation to your lawns to ensure correct watering???
What is going on Dan?.
You have a guy working with you?
Where was that job advertised?
I cannot believe you did not think of me an ex 4 time Ryder Cup Venue Head Greenkeeper and you have side swiped me and took on Mark 😂
Great vid again with lots of tips and tricks to have a lawn to make the neighbour get a splinter on his nose while peering over the fence with envy 👍🏆
Home owner i not employed him lol
Work experience! Congrats on making the CL
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert I know lol 😂
Yes CL football after 44 years so now let’s see how serious the owner’s are in the transfer windows to bring in talent to consistently achieve this level of football ?
My lawns are growing very fast this year (2.5 acres in Harrogate). Growth rate of around 1" per day with no products.
BONKERS.
Wow someone must of put some unicorn dust on then
I wish you lived down south! Got plenty of work for you!
I dont need work lol
Hi Daniel. Those lawns are all looking cracking. Every year I say to myself I will follow you to a T but end up falling way behind. Only got to put on some moss killer and then weed killer. Nothing else so far and POW is taking over. Very annoying. A bit much to cut it out. I just have a question, every where on the net it says not to use ferrous sulphate and weed killer within 1 week of each other. No one says why. Do you have any ideas? I put some moss killer down on Monday and need to get weed killer down as well and the next few days it is going to rain. Then I won't be able to get to the lawn for a few weeks.
No not sure why, but its bull as companies sell 3 in 1 dont they feed, weed and mosskiller, all you need to do is listen and watch what i do, year on year produce stunning results
What are your you thoughts on keeping a high % rye grass lawn up to 2.5 or 3 inches long Dan? It’s gets walked in a bit in the summer so the seed is hard wearing. It’s 40% Perennial Ryegrass, 40% Strong Creeping Red Fescue, 15% Chewings Fescue and 5% Browntop Bent mix from a local seed warehouse.
Nar not for me mate
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpertI get that it’s not your aesthetic, but just thinking if it’s a good strategy to maintain the lawn when I have lots of footfall on it. Would keeping it at say 25cm last the summer with heavy use?
I’ve just treated with all your recommended products so hoping it keeps strong!
@@biberdy it would just collapse being so long and you wouldnt be able to cut it
Fescue for me, no need for overseeding
nevermind 4 in 1 complete , we get 5 in 1 here ,thanks
Glad you are back Daniel was getting a bit worried ! . Can you suggest how to treat moss on a north facing lawn ?
My inhibit
Only been gone a week
Need a lawn vid every day 😂
Hi Daniel , what sprayer nozzle tip do you use/ recommend on the knapsack. Thank You . Superb work on those lawns .
Hypro white flat flan,
Thanks looking firward to seeing these blossom
Hi Daniel, I wondered if you had any advice on how to get rid of red ants in the lawn. I levelled it with sand 3 years ago, and since then, the ants have come, and they ruin the grass everywhere. I have tried all the things I can think of, but all it grass it's ruin the grass.and they move to a different part of the lawn. Any advice would be appreciated
I dont sorry does ant powder not work?
Fantastic jobs done there mate. Really enjoyed this video. I don't know about you but I've been playing catch up lately with the jobs. 🤦♂️ Ive been thinking of getting a cylinder mower too after looking at your videos with them, I've found a few atco Balmorals, are they any good??
All the best
Andy
Yes deffo catching up, balmorals are kensingtons
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert Cheers mate appreciate that. Hope the rest of your week goes well. 👍
He’s back, thought you were in overdale….
Not yet… hopefully. its only been 8 days!
That battery mower looks the business Dan. Are you happy with it? Ps great stuff as usual
Yeah love it
What is that thing on the right-hand side of the posh job? In the time lapse it looks like a gate sliding in and out of the flower bed.
The front gate opens sideways
Ive got a newly seeded lawn which is coming up to 3 weeks old. Going to be putting some equilibrium down soon. Is it ok to mow the lawn every 3 days to thicken it up? Can you mow to oftern?
Hey Dan, I love the Wembley pitch… but why is the rest of his landscaping rubbish - especially the ladder sitting in the breeze block bed and rickety fencing?
Im just there to do the lawn
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert I know... But if he likes a lovely lawn the mess around it is a shame.
Have to agree with other viewers the second garden right hand side is a bit of an eye sore with breeze block wall and rotting fence panels.
Ill let him know im just there to do the lawn
Hello Dan Regarding the amounts for spraying when it's 200ml for 100m2 in 5lts of water- If I wanted to spray 50m2 I just half everything including the water? So 100ml of product and 2.5 lbs of water I'm think it is this way but I'm just checking
Product yes but water is just a guide i cant label everyones amount if you can spray your lawn with 2ltrs of water then you dont need 5, spray just water first n see how much you use

@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert Ok thanks for the quick reply Dan
I’m moving from GreenThumb to DIY using your products Dan. I usually have NutraGreen Summer Ready treatment.
I plan to use your Equilibrium but what do you suggest for emergent weed control please?
Some choices on my website under recommended products
thanks. Didn’t spot that section!
The Allett is very noisy ìt sounds like the motor is going. One of the features of the Stirling was a quiteter motor. It is more noisier than a petrol. Not a good mower!
What the hell are you talking about and why you messaging me about it
Hi Dan. I’m a novice. I have a question. If I use a fleece do I need to water the seed before covering? There is a section that I will be sowing from new. And other areas where I’m overseeding.
Its good practise yes
Great thanks. How often do you need peel back and water? Or do you do it just the once before you cover
@@mahmoodrahman4329 you water over the covers after
Great jobs all of them. What grass seed do you use and where could I buy it?
On my website I only sell one
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert Thanks. My lawn was seeded 10 years ago with a utility grass seed which is awful. Should I just scarify the hell out of it in the autumn then over-seed or should I spray it off with glyphosate and start from scratch?
Hi Dan how often do you apply sow pro / Stella/ grace thanks Dan great content 👊
As per the label
hearing protection for an electric mower find the error
No error i have the radio on flemwodd
How long does that slow realese fertiliser last Dan? Thank you
Depends on your soil if sandy not along as if soily but 6-8 week is good guide and how wet it is
I’m sure this question has been asked so I apologize in advance but can we get field compost #4 in the states? Thanks
Hi no just in uk
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert ok thanks, really enjoying your videos btw, keep it up
See you at Wembley 😂
Wembley prediction Dan? Surely another epic victory for the Wanderers
On paper you would think so but look what happened in 99
Never liked Watford.
