9:15-9:25 the flag reacting to the explosives is beautiful
The grass in the fields moves aswell if the explosion is big enough

I miss the times where everyone could experience a new game together and not be spoilt on every single thing before other players are able to experience it themselves.

Fin Yeah, in Battlefield 1 you had to watch out for the windmilling biplane corpses. But in Battlefield 3 and 4, you really had to watch out for crashing planes, the burnt body of the plane would fucking fly right above the ground and you would get absolutely flattened if you weren’t paying attention. Those days you had to fear crashing planes, it just became comical in Battlefield 1.

Well, yeah. It has better graphics because it's a newer game, but I prefer the more dark and gritty feel of Battlefield 1 compared to the sunny and glossy feel of Battlefield V.

I wish this game didn’t have the controversy because this game shows so much promise.
Edit: I’m referring to the fact that it’s almost certainly effecting the amount of people buying the game. So I don’t want to buy it if not many people play it after 6 months. I’d rather play BF4 or 1.

All the new mechanics are really good. It’s kinda stupid but one of my favorite things is how you throw things farther. Never could get kills on bf1 with dynamite because you threw them 1 foot infront of you.

Great video Jack! Keep it up! The unedited commentary really shows ppl how the game plays and that it's not just a Bf1 carbon copy. I played the alpha and beta, and can safely say that the returned gun mechanics alone have sold it for me.
This game actually looks really fun. Despite the crappy beta maps and general apathy from the community I think I'll have to pick this up. Also I'm glad they brought back some of the sweating. The beta barely had any callouts (than again most of the team audio was broken) and I really miss that atmosphere from BF3.

Yea I was definitely a critic on this game but I can confirm from my playtime that it's actually really good. Only big issues I see so far are some map balance on narvik and STG being too strong. Other than those it plays similar to BF3 and BF4

People just jumped the horse with all the bullshit. The cosmetics look great and to me it feels way better than BF1.
Congrats dice on all these improvements, authenticity increased, and gameplay improved according to what the community wanted. Hands down I'm going to get this game at Christmas, I deserve it and so does dice.

This is the sort of map I absolutely love wide open but still with plenty of cover and flanking opportunities it looks awesome.

The handful of times I have played this map I will have to agree it is one of the best, Good amount of cover, Just enough area with buildings. It has everything you need for a conquest map.

I believe WW2 is fading out and the next game will probably be modern, there’s a possibility of Vietnam, but I personally hope it’s more Middle East themed and modern.
Don’t know if you noticed, but the wilderness, with the trees, dense bushes provide so much good cover and so much to the map it’s exactly what I wanted

For everybody complaining:
Either DICE makes this game hyper-realistic at the expense of loads of content, or they bend the rules slightly to produce more content at the expense of some realism, which is what they did. I agree with their choice, but the best option is obviously a middle-ground; which, unfortunately, there is a very small amount of.

Simon V it’s not necessarily the schedule, this isn’t the first game to release the game early to certain people. What’s stupid is the fact you get it earlier by paying more and the early period is weeks before the standard edition launch. A few days early has been done before and was fine for only preorders but this is taking a little over the top.

Jack, the tank gun you thought was broken is actually a short-barreled 57mm cannon on the Panzer IV which is meant to fire HE shells at infantry. Tanks (with the exception of German heavy tanks) in WW2 were not built specificly to fight other tanks. Tank destroyers fight tanks, while a tank's main job was to support infantry as they moved up.
Its good to see positive comments on a battlefield video because i’ve watched a lot of video of bf5 recently and theyre all filled with hate some being very irrelevant because theyve not even tried. Ive played around 4 hours of bf5 and in my opinion it has its moments where the games flow is dead but that happens in every game but theres some moments where you genuinely feel like youre in war and running together with a squad feels so genuine. Cant wait for tides of war

@@theaces3697 Same! I loved BF3 and I think this game has lots of BF3 in it. I played 26 levels in the Beta alone which was always the same mode on the same 2 maps that are now regarded as two ofter the weaker ones in the full game. Wonder how Rush will work out when it launches in January-February, because this was my go-to mode in BF3.

Vehicular explosions in this are the best I've seen in any video game. Seriously, the fact the top of a tank pops 10 feet in the air after you blow it up is so satisfying.
... and the fact planes actually (mostly) explode all pretty like when they hit the ground. BF1 had some ugly airplane crashes lol

I have a plan to solve the issue regarding women. How about inserting an option which allows players to see only men. For example: Say there are two people, Rachel and Billy, who bought the game. Billy created a male character while Rachel created a female character. Billy doesn't like the inclusion of women in the game. So he goes to the above-mentioned option and toggles it on. So, now even if Rachel and Billy were to be playing in the same server, Rachel's character would appear as a woman in front of people who haven't toggled the option on. Billy, on the other hand, having turned on the option concerned, would perceive Rachel's character as a man.

Idk if you read the comments, but when Recon hits a target, the target will be spotted for your team. Similarly when Support suppresses a target, that target will be spotted. I think it is very cool game mechanic.
Using the Tractor should be a future Easter Egg lol … this map looks so realistic with lots of detail just like a proper battlefield though it does seem to still have a COD feel to it on the gameplay. Nice Vid!
The thing I liked the most about bf1 is how chaotic the game was. in bfv there's less action which makes it boring in my opinion.
Grand Operations has plenty of chaos when both teams are fighting over two points.
