2011 Mercedes GLK 350 X204 Front Outer CV boot replacement comprehe nsive (ugly job with a hack)

This isn't the video you want to watch if you like the ones where everything goes smoothly, and the wrench-twister stays clean. ;-) This - from what I've been seeing - isn't a terrifically unusual CV boot replacement.
The issue was getting the outer joint off the axle shaft - the C-clip got hung up, and was destroyed in the process of getting the joint off. My "hack" was to cut a small bolt to size, and then use it to press the joint off the rest of the axle with a slightly modified axle bolt (the old one that I didn't need any longer).
