Apparently the only way to free them is to walk on soul sand with Soul Speed boots. Breaking them normally just turns the block to an item so they're still trapped, and exploding it outright destroys everyone stuck inside the sand
J Frank The horror is very cheesy, the gameplay is bland, and loses its charm in less than an hour of gameplay. The only thing I can give it credit for is a pretty detailed story.
So these will play only in certain biomes like the picture is respersenting? And do they play ontop of the ambient music, the nether sound track or.....?
You’ve just taken your first steps in The Nether. It’s swelteringly hot here, but you need to find that fortress. All around you, you see strange, red trees and odd red fungi. In the distance, you can see humanoid pig creatures milling about. They pay you no mind. They’re too busy chasing down a huge, hairless boar using golden swords and crossbows. The crimson forest you’ve found yourself in is full of unusual life, but yet it remains eerily still. You can hear crackling fire and bubbling magma in the distance. You move to cut down one of the strange crimson trees near by, and then you hear something. It’s like a distant, distorted scream from something twisted and furious. As you explore, you stumble across the Nether Wastes. Unlike the crimson forest, this place is barren and devoid of life. Large masses of glowing yellow crystal grow from the roof the enormous cavern. Sprinkled throughout the wasteland are veins of gold and quartz. You find a ledge that overlooks a massive ocean of boiling lava. You continue to explore and find the Warped Forest, a strange land filled with tall, blue, fungus-like trees and twisted, blueish vines that hang upward from the ground as if defying gravity. This place is populated by only one creature. The forest is filled with tall, dark, and mysterious endermen, which wander the forest and chatter to themselves in some distorted and forgotten language. As you explore the forest, you hear a noise like an anguished scream from an enderman crossed with radio static. It builds in volume but quickly cuts off. In terror, you run blindly through the forest. You can’t quite seen through the hanging, blue, fleshy leaves of the Warped trees. Suddenly the forest parts, and you trip and fall to your knees. You feel sand beneath you, and you look up. You’re in a huge, dark brown desert. The place is completely empty, save for several fossil remains of some massive, ancient species of monster. Skeletons, armed with bows and arrows, wander sands of this massive valley. Overhead, huge, white, disembodied heads with long white tentacles hanging from them drift through the air. Every single one of them is emitting a constant stream of tears and are moaning and whimpering out of misery. They don’t seem any happier to be here than you do, and they decide to take it out on you. One of the strange hovering creatures turns to you and shrieks. It opens its dark, red eyes and shoots a large fireball from its mouth. You run in fear, and hear the fireball explode against the ground behind you. And then something peculiar happens. You slow down. Not of your own volition, however. You look down and realize that you’re no longer running on the loosely-packed soil of the valley. Rather, you’ve run directly into a patch of what appears, at first glance, to be sand. However, upon closer inspection, the reason this sand has slowed you down is revealed. The sand is shifting beneath your feet, forming screaming faces which are silently trying to pull you down with them. You scream, and hurry to escape the grasp of the soul sand. The moment you’re out of the sand’s clutches, you hear something. It’s scream. It’s extremely human, but it didn’t come from you, and it’s not a scream of terror. It’s a scream of raw, unchecked rage. It’s distant, but it sends chills down your spine. It’s unlike anything you’ve heard here before. And it’s getting closer. It’s the Wither...
The crimson forest sounds like fire in the backround, creatures making sounds far away, and stuff burning. nether wastes sounds like ground crackling, UFO sounds, and deep creature sounds. Soul sand valley sounds like winds blowing sand, tortured Souls yelling, Deep low voices blown from the wind, Ghasts shrieking, whispers from the souls, and wither sounds. warped forests sound like distorted enderman noises, High pitched shrieks, distant creaking sounds, high pitched space like sounds.
Most people seems to not realize the reason why soul sand is slowing you down... It's because the souls trapped inside wants to attract you, to get you.
i'm thinking of writing a story or making a minecraft map about how the first people discovered the nether reacted to seeing it or maybe a small team went through a nether portal someone found and the story would be them recording their findings, whilst also describing what they're hearing
Well done. Earned 1 sub. I'll be writing a story for each biome so I hope you see them. ------------------------ Crimson Forest ------------------------ The sounds of whimpering echo around in the particles as well as the slow freckles of them shining. as well as the sounds of the trees creaking and groaning and moaning. even though they look like they don't. Slow gusts sway around in the air. Making it a bit chilling even for the lava hot hell. It also sounds like something is vibrating at points but there aren't any machines you can see. But is it hiding? Suspense is in the air. With the pig like creatures, it is surely a Crimson red danger. ----------------------- Nether Wastes ----------------------- This is where it all started. Sounds of a far away explosion and rattling surround the distant blurry frontground. You sometimes even hear the moans of a 3 headed skeleton body. One you know you dont want to encounter at all... Gushes of wasted wind play around too. It's been for far too long. The ground also sounds like it's moving and growling like it's hungry. But is it the ground itself? Other times BIG gushes of wind sway you down real scared still. The wastes are still the same, just...different. Be safe and remember to wear gold. ------------------------- Soul Sand Valley ------------------------- The wind sways around the hills. Dead. The horns of the past sound in your ears. As well as the wind still dead swaying. But sometimes they scream into your ears. Making you stand still. The sand rushes in the wind blowing into you eyes Making you pick them to get the specks out so you can see the threat. Then...the voices moan and groan, and you can't move. It's too much. They whisper in reverse. It's over. It's going to torment you forever. The past has gotten the best of you. The wind still rushes and sways as you stand traumatized. Still standing. Still surviving. Be careful, this is were the moaning fire shooters live. So be prepared. ----------------------- Warped Forest ----------------------- The sounds of static play in your ears. From where you don't know, but they come from something slender. At times the static has reverse moaning and speaking. And sometimes they sound like it's charging at you fast, you turn around. But nothings there. You reliease this is where the endermen roam. You believe it's them tricking you into a false sense of security as you know you can't motivate them to kill you unless you look at them. The sounds of the trees bending and creaking mindbend your ears as well as the sound of vibration sometimes. The place sounds like it's bending and breaking time as it sounds like time is going backwards. Enish in other words. The sounds of screams and vibrating fill your ears with dread and guilt. Even though you haven't done anything wrong. You still the consequence is your untimely death. The static now sounds like it burps of hunger and cracking up to eat you into shredded bits and let you turn into nothing from the creatures body acid. A air compressor starts working and stopping over and over. You sometimes feel pressure pushing far down on you, and other times real high. Is something wrong with this horrible place in these parts? The place also sounds like it's laughing evilly at you without mercy, leaving you dead in the lava or the tall slender creatures with no one else caring. Stay safe and don't and I mean DONT look at the slender like black men. --------------- The place and the biomes are harsh, but you are strong and brave, so you've got this. I hope. Stay safe out there.
