It was an iconic bike for me to ride, and utterly superb! I spent much of my time with it picking it up, and shaking my head….so light! Thanks for watching Juliano.
I ride both a 2022 Gain M20I and a 2014 Orca Aero. I ride both because I fell back in love with riding the Orca when the Gain was in the shop for maintenance. Everything you said and felt about the 2024 Orca is true about the 2014 Orca. I love it!
Thanks for the great vidio! Really helped me with my choice to get one for my Dream Retirerment bike Just waiting for it to Arrive and cant wait to get out and about on it. I also love the fact that you can truely make it your bike with the colour choices and other areas of customization thanks again
Completely agree with your comments Gareth. It must be a joy riding such a beautiful bike. I still ❤ riding, my Giant Team Once 1999, particularly in the last few days in glorious weather….along coastal flat roads. The Orbea Gain is for my steep country rides
I'm watching this, whilst drugged up with painkillers, after being knocked off my bike by a car last week. Left with a damaged shoulder & a concussion. My Ribble bike is also worse for wear. I'm now dreaming of getting the newly announced Ribble all road electric bike with the Mahle X20 motor. The entry level one with 12 speed 105 is a bargain at £3999. It's also got a 350W battery & claimed range of 140km.
oh no Leon! Bad news - wishing you a very speedy recovery; be careful with that concussion. So is your bike a write-off? That sounds like a great deal. Pity I never got to have a spin on the X20 Gain.
@@yakoridesagain I'm not sure yet Gareth, I will have to get it professionally checked over. Yes the new Ribble came totally out of the blue, but a electric road bike that's full carbon & with the X20 system is brilliant for under £4k. Might have to be my next bike 👍🏻🚴🏻💨
Hi Yako, I’ve just ordered an M30 (OMR frame, 105GS) - I’ve always wanted an Orca ever since I joined the cycling fraternity. I found a 53cm 2024 model with change from £1600… I can’t wait for it to arrive!
Nice unbiased video as always, I agree a beautiful looking bike which does it all, what more can anyone ask for in an e bike, I hope you manage to get a few more rides in while you have it or are they letting you keep it, enjoy the rest of your week
Hi Yako great vid ,I'm only 65 kilos what a dream it would be for me to ride the orca. The only problem is I might get blown away in a strong wind!😂 liked how you enjoyed lifting the bike and the grin on your face 😀
Every time I'm thinking about the lightness of the bike I remember about two water bottles I need to carry, spare tube(or two), small pump, lever and multitool. But weight is stunning. I saw pics of M20iLTD with Ultegra, it was 6.26kg, don't ask me how.
For me, it’s thinking about that last slice of pizza…but of course any bike you ride you will likely take the same bottles/tools etc so the starting point can still be important… I think you could probably make savings with wheels and tyres…
Well yako it was good of orbea to loan you this bike just goes to show how they appreciate your channel try and beg or borrow other bikes to test out , but you are just tormenting yourself, only joking it’s all good fun, cheers jim
Simply, yes. I would personally opt for a 50/34 chainring and an 11-34 cassette, but I’m fat and old. Descending with the gearing this bike had was excellent! I suppose also I’d fit 28mm tyres too but these things I believe are options when buying new anyway. The bike is perfect. Is it on your Christmas present list?
I MIGHT have gushed a little over this bike…the Orca has always been an iconic bike for me…and I finally got to ride one! SPOILER! I wasn’t disappointed…
Love how excited you feel about the bike! And thanks for the video!

Happy to have helped! I agree - the MyO custom paint thing is such a great extra on what is a stunning bike. I have no doubt that you will love it.
@@yakoridesagain I am sure i will
Great enthusiasm for the bike. Another interesting vid, thanks.
was the music acceptable though Brian? Thank you.

Joy sums it up Ian! I remember those Once Giants, lovely-looking bikes - and I’m glad you are finally getting the weather to ride it! cheers!

It was a dream to ride it to be honest, but I’ll never forget picking it up for that first time! Cor, to be 65kgs….! Thank you!
Good stuff. I'd like one too.
Maybe we could rob a bank…😀

They do make exceedingly good bikes, Jim. If they’d let me I’d review every bike they make! Love ‘em!
The only con for you is the price is that correct !?
