Jedi Council was the useless administration with the weird ideology in the fancy building. The Jedi Knights were like teachers not allowed to discipline their students or actually teach. That's why you need a Jedi Union (just make sure there's not a Local 66).
@Bolwerkr No, that's wrong. He never got to become a true Sith. That's not how it works. There can only be 2 Sith in the universe at any given time. Before Vader only Darth Maul was a sith. Darth Sidious had more apprentices but neither of them became a true sith. THat's because Sidious already had set his sights on Anakin Skywalker. Haven't you ever wondered why Dooku never got his own Sith name? It's because he was still only a Dark Jedi.
@Bolwerkr You see that's the problem, the rule of two was actually mentioned in the prequel movies. By Yoda himself in Phantom Menace, when Qui Gon and Obi Wan fist mention the existence of a new Sith in the system.
@Bolwerkr Ok, so I've been doin research on my own here and here's what I found. Dooku was called Darth Tyrannus even before the Death of Darth Plagueis which implies that he had been Conspiring with Sidious for years already, also he wasn't even a proper Sith back then, this makes it so that his rank as a proper Sith Lord is highly questionable (remember, Maul was still alive then and he was Sidious real disciple back then. This also indicates that Sidious was arrogant enough to actually violate the rule of two. Also there is no mention anywhere in the movies about him being a proper Sith, only that he was Sidious apprentice. Only in the animation was he ever mentioned as a Sith Lord and only for one episode for all I've seen. And like I said his position as a Sith is questionable even with this revelation. Anyway the point is he can and cannot be considered as a Sith Lord. His whole story as a Sith is extremely questionable from the beginning and actually would be an interesting topic to explore on a dedicated story on him I'd love to read or watch.

Side stories of council members aside, I always found the decision making in the High Council rather funny. For most of the prequel movies, Yoda simply takes a quick look at Mace Windu and sometimes Ki Adi Mundi and then announces the "council" decision. And then there is the famous dialogue at the end of Phantom Menace where Yoda first tells Obi Wan that the council does not allow him to take Anakin as a Padawan but when he learns that to honour Qui Gon's wish, Obi Wan is ready to teach him anyway, he says that the "council" approves it then (without discussing it with anyone).

No, I never thought that they were "useless" due to their never being shown doing anything. its so sad how when mace windu told anakin to stay in the jedi temple he was gonna make him a master for the information about palpatine when he returned, but we all know what happened.
Coleman Kjac has mastered the force in such a way that he’s invisible “I’ve mastered the ability of standing so incredibly still that I become invisible to the eye.”
To quote Reti4 on why Coleman Trebor was put on the High Council, “Yarael Poof was dead by this point, so they needed someone new to get the pizza!” And now I realize the double meaning behind him bringing up pizza specifically….
How useless was the *entire* Council? The main reason that Palpatine was able to outsmart them all was because they were so rigidly conservative about their often irrational rules that it was easy for him to anticipate their reactions to the various stages of his plan. At the same time, they were so narrow-minded that they couldn't see the ramifications of what was happening around them because they were too busy trying to figure out how it all fit into the status quo they were so desperate to maintain. Obi-Wan claimed in ANH that they were the guardians of "truth and justice" in the Old Republic. But that is not what we see from them. Instead, they were just guardians of a broken system and cared more about maintaining their position in the Republic's government than with actually helping anybody.
and two years later this list is tossed out as Peel and Yaddle both sacrificed themselves trying to save the galaxy: one saving troops and jedi, one trying to stop a war that a fallen jedi was creating…
Most likely they were no better than him. Yes, they sacrificed their lives to save a bunch of people, but that's what was expected of them as Jedi anyway, and Mundi was a Jedi through and through.
If the force going away from the food is up, and the force going towards it is down, which is how it’d be referred to on a force diagram, you still bite down
I love going back to watch these vids now that we have new gaps filled in. How about Yadel being killed by Count Dickwad and was probably a Jedi cover up to say she died a hero
Definitely have to argue with the Coleman Trebor section, yes he failed but he single handedly got the closest to assassinating Darth Tyranus. In before people say Anakin Skywalker. Read my comment back, I said single handedly. Anakin started the encounter with Obi-Wan Kenobi by his side and also potentially had help from Chancellor Palpetine (even though that is still unconfirmed).
Nice use of the True Jedi achievement from the Lego Star Wars games. Also, nice Robot Chicken reference, that skit was actually how I first learned who Yurrle Poof was. Lastly, it's nice to know that most of the Council was either good people or just Useless(neutral) instead of being callous jerks like Ki-Aid-Mundi. Also, makes me wonder where the rest of the Jedi that were already discussed fall into that category. Obi-Wan, Plo Koon, and Yoda obviously get True Jedi. Shaak Ti despite all her good intentions does have a lot of failures under her belt, including what happened with Fives so she probably gets the Useless category. The same goes for Mace, again despite his good intentions he has caused some major problems with his bullheadedness. Mundi obviously gets outright Terrible Jedi with everything you taught us about him. That just leaves Anakin, Kit Fisto, and Depa Balga. Now I saw Fisto do some good stuff in the Clone Wars TV series and even heard about one or two instances from Legends about his goodness, so I'd give him True Jedi, but he might be Useless I'm not 100%. As for Anakin and Depa, there a tough case. Anakin did fall to the Dark Side, but before that, he was a really good and helpful guy so weighing both his good and bad together I'd place him in the Neutral or Useless category. As for Depa, that depends on what version were discussing. Legends went evil so I'd think she'd be classified as a Terrible Jedi, but canon did a lot of good while teaching Kanen so I'd imagined her as a True Jedi. Like with Anakin I say we split the difference and just make her Useless.
I like the idea that being a master meant more than it did being on the council, because as we all know “fear leads to anger and anger leads to never letting anyone else talk”

Aye. *raises hand*
Robot Chicken Yarel Poof put it best: "Oh, there's a council is there? Are we sure it's not just you two? Hello...is anyone realizing I'm talking?"
That sketch was hilarious lol
Oh, so it's a council now? It's not just the two of you? What about you dogface did you know that now it was a council?
Saesee Tiin’s easily my favorite out of the bunch. He’s an introverted starship loving nice guy who always does the right thing whenever he can, if that ain’t relatable then I don’t know what is.
The Iktochi are one of the most underrated species and are powerful telepaths. Don't forget that Darth Cognus was Iktochi too.

I’ve always loved yaddle. She’s an underrated Jedi master.
She may be the one who saved Grogu. She's not dead in canon, and disappeared after Episode 1 to possibly take care of Grogu
Should have let Yrael Proof use her car then
She’s playable in the new lego Star Wars game
@@Andromedon777 does she even exist in canon?

I wouldn’t say useless that’s harsh I’d say they put there skills into something else other than war because it seems that’s why you basing there actions off of.
"You are on this council, but we do not grant you the rank of master."
-Mace Windu, foolishly
Well, for being a video of "how useless" they were, in general they were pretty much the contrary.
Instead, their biggest general flaw could be their dogmatic ways.
No, I never thought that they were "useless" due to their never being shown doing anything.
Even as a kid, I simply knew that not everything could fit into a film, and therefore given stories always focus on certain characters only, plus I also already knew that any galaxy is a tremendously humungous place and we simply cannot see everything that transpires therein and who all engages in those countless individual events.
THANK YOU! Why do these people talk shit on the literal Jedi the good guys for no reason

It’s badass to hear that Anakin was on the High Council. He was destined for greatness
But not the high ground
I can answer that title question: They were absolutely useless
Take the Clone Wars for example
They were a bunch of old people sitting in a circle.
Younger Jedi: Um I have an issue with some of your decisions.
Council: Shut up! Were old and wise and stuff! Now if you'll excuse us we have a busy day of sitting on these chairs.
LOL.
@Miha P Kind of.
@Samuel Smiderle élève Do not disrespect Master Plo and master fisto. They were fighting more than most on the council.
@Samuel Smiderle élève plo koon saved Ahsoka from being kidnapped and enslaved
Poor Yarel Poof just wanted to drive yaddle’s car to get the pizza faster
Don't you dare ever call our lord Coleman Kcaj useless again
Finally someone says it
I don't know why but Coleman kcaj is my favourite jedi
He actually survived order 66!
@@Giragoji yeah when I was a kid and learned of his existence he became my favorite character because of his funny shaped head. This lasted for about two days before I forgot he existed because he doesn’t do anything!

I’d imagine that most of Yaddle’s lore is still cannon, the only thing changing being her death, with the release of Tales of the Jedi
Evan Piel sacrificed his life for the hyperspace routes. Wtf he was my bro.
Exactly!! Even Piell was so badass in the citadel arc. I can't believe he's being put under the useless category.
He also had to reign in Tarkin lol
It’s weird that in the Jedi council scenes the projected images are all sitting on a chair the exact same shape as the one they are projected over
its so sad how when mace windu told anakin to stay in the jedi temple he was gonna make him a master for the information about palpatine when he returned, but we all know what happened.
Coleman Kjac has mastered the force in such a way that he’s invisible “I’ve mastered the ability of standing so incredibly still that I become invisible to the eye.”
Shaak Ti is actually my favorite Jedi Master because I loved her in the 2003 _Clone Wars_ microseries by Genndy Tartakovsky.
Shaak Ti is my favorite because she's a hot mom
I could listen to you talk about anything but it being starwars just makes it that much better 😌
To quote Reti4 on why Coleman Trebor was put on the High Council, “Yarael Poof was dead by this point, so they needed someone new to get the pizza!”
And now I realize the double meaning behind him bringing up pizza specifically….
Piell did have a bit of a back story tho, as it was told in the comic Emissaries to Malastare.
Sounds like democrats and republicans
-__- this so bad dog idk where to start
and two years later this list is tossed out as Peel and Yaddle both sacrificed themselves trying to save the galaxy: one saving troops and jedi, one trying to stop a war that a fallen jedi was creating…
Man, much of these guys seem to be way more remarkable and likeable than that pointy head sociopath of Ki Adi Mundi.
Most likely they were no better than him. Yes, they sacrificed their lives to save a bunch of people, but that's what was expected of them as Jedi anyway, and Mundi was a Jedi through and through.
@@FerunaLutelou Yes, but WHAT ABOUT THE DROID ATTACK ON THE WOOKIES?

Interesting Question, On a scale of 1 - Jar Jar Binks, They score a Jar jar.
If Jango wasn’t there and Coleman was faster on the draw he would’ve got the kill too
Hat leads to anger and anger leads to- NEVER LETTING ANYONE ELSE TALK!
Coleman Trebor Is More Useful Than All Of Minor Character In The Council
*CHANGED MY MIND*
Yaeral I think not yurrle
I like the idea that being a master meant more than it did being on the council, because as we all know “fear leads to anger and anger leads to never letting anyone else talk”

Hey! Yareal Poof got the pizza🍕 ! That has to count for something.
Tiin was the only person on the Jedi council who wasn't a true jedi. His importance on the council was often questioned by other jedi as he never took on a padawan. A true jedi is supposed to pass on what they have learned instead tiin ignored one of the basic expections. He often times was very closed minded especially in the case of quinlan vos.
