@@Koko3op is there a place you have people react to any of the other members… not just jimin and v? I saw a video of you talking about the maknae line but don’t see any jungkook videos who is part of the maknae line so I’m confused lol or even the other members? I know you like bts but only so jimin and v. Is there someplace where you show the other members that we can view the same way? Would like to see people react to the others solo stuff too… there’s some dancing in some of the others stuff or of course there’s compilations of the other members performances and dancing that would be cool to see as well.

Park Jimin has raised the bar so much. you would see fragments of his style (by style I don't mean contempo in general) embedded in other kpop groups. As a kpop fan since 2007, I never saw groups had it. now I see some "jimin" embedded in their routines. Watch how they walk, the hand gestures, facial expressions. Rumour has it that other entertainment companies give Jimin fancams to their idols as tasks. And seeing the differences in the dancing routines before and now, I think there must be truth to it. You'd notice it if you watch performances back in the days and compare it now, it's subtle but it's there. That goes to show how impact he had made in the industry. And he deserves to be praised for that. This Black Swan performance was on a whole new level! I'm sooo proud.

@hnel435 Oh gawd! Taemin, one of my favorite dancers too in kpop!!!!!! (others include Eunhyuk, Jang Woohyuk, and U-know). Taemin shares the style of his seniors though especially U-know of TVXQ. He once admitted U-know was his idol. You will see similarities when you watch their fancams.

Jimin is kind of different. I will try to explain what I meant and may still end up fruitless because I’m not a dancer and I cannot express things specifically, I'm sorry. You see, to best see it, you have to watch all the fancams suggested here. By influences I meant that expressive use of space and time, the perfect form he maintains whenever he executes the dance move so sometimes you felt he has heavier moves because he’s executiing each move perfectly down to his pinky yet at the same time he felt lighter like a feather (I don’t know how he does it); his distinct raising of head while waiting for his turn, bending of neck to the right while bending his left leg or crossing his leg to maintain the dance line while staring at the camera, that “heavy”/exhausted type of walking as if falling when transitioning-- In fact he uses this a lot even in Fire fancam 2015 you will see it (th-cam.com/video/DMYSCu9oR74/w-d-xo.html) but more obvious when he’s singing Fake Love (th-cam.com/video/GfX62fI1NyA/w-d-xo.html), the use of time and space when it’s not yet his turn that all evoke emotions so when he’s just standing he’s standing with grace; the facial expressions he makes when he’s singing his lines (watch the Run part in 2016: th-cam.com/video/iSnL7tlJZIQ/w-d-xo.html) His facial expressions too have become popularized in kpop routines. His graceful jump can’t be replicated though. Even when he’s standing, his whole body tells a story. He never wastes a space and time.
Contrary to what others think,his I need You, Run, Fire, Fake Love have more influences more than we know more than blood, sweat and tears, I think.

I suggest you watch the fancams and enjoy these successful dancers in the industry.
The previous generations of Kpop dancers were all very hiphop, to the extent that Jimin was considered a weaker dancer because his training was in contemporary (he had to study up on hiphop). Now, you see a lot more blending of styles, particularly contemporary, because of Jimin. You can also see eerie echoes of his facial expression (that particular head tilt and smoulder), his walk (that charismatic shoulders back sway up), and his hand movements etc. But absolutely no one I've seen quite has his grace, fluidity, and emotionality. Even just standing, he embodies intensity and elegance.

I wish words could convey just how impeccable that part was with Jimin and jungkook. The sheer amount of talent, trust, core strength, stability, and dedication it took to do those moves is just astounding. And the fact that these moves are typically done between a man and a woman, BTS truly are breaking down barriers with stereotypes and it is truly historic. I will never get over how incredible that part was with them, it brought me to tears! 👏🏻

Aaaaw I wanted the insight on the pax de deus. Ola's perspective: first on the difficulty, plus de water element and about two guys instead of the usual F/M combination 🥺🥺🥺

i was probably maybe the first who asked for this ...I subbed to make sure that if you delivered I would see it, and of course i'll stay subbed because you did. thank you so much. Jimin would have been successful in dance no matter what. I can just imagine how proud his parents(especially his dad who we know has supported him every step of the way to accomplish any of his dreams) and his teachers to see him being given the opportunity to dance and show what Park Jimin was born to do. NOBODY in the kpop world is doing what park jimin is doing, he is defying all gender norms in south korea. BTS themselves are all breaking the barriers and it's going to help a lot of people that are suppressed in that country even if it can't be actually said directly. I said it in 2016 and I'll say it now...BTS and especially Jimin are going to make a lot of difference in this world.

'what in the swan lake is going on!!' that was my EXACT reaction. tbh none of us really knew just how much training in classical/contemporary jimin had until like... 2015 ish, and it made me SO excited back then, but we lived off CRUMBS. it was amazing to watch over the years as they incorporated more and more of the style into their work, and this was the CHERRY on the cake for me :''')
There was nothing contemporary pr ballet about the ON performance at 2020 MAMA but boy did they go above and beyond for that one. I would love if Ola would react to that one sometime in the future as well

I am sooooooo excited for Ola when I've seen this.... the whole production is mesmerizing, enchanting & magical.... Bangtan made me learned to appreciate each & every people involved, as well as every details of their performances.

Dunno if anyone else pointed it out, but each member does a dance that they've previously done.
Jungkook's dance is his solo to Save Me from the 2019 MMA (that was also in water). Jimin's dance is hard for me to figure out, but it looks like either Filter or the art film version of Black Swan. That's just my guess.
Jungkook and Jimin's pas de deux is a homage to Swan Lake (which Ola probably knew).
Jin and RM's dance is their bit in the dance break version of Dionysus from the 2019 MMA. Taehyung and J-hope's dance is their exchange in the beginning of DNA.
And then Jin releasing a bird at the end is a reference to ON.
