We've reached the final week of 2020 and I don't know about you but I could do with a relaxing painting exercise. Get lost in your imagination and create all sorts of beautiful butterflies using these techniques I have demonstrated.

Thanks Nancy, well I have to say I painted many butterflies the day before filming and many were not up to much! It’s all about practise and it suddenly all falls into place.
You have an excellent eye matching side up. I can’t you didn’t have to draw things out before painting! Like I said, you are a good artist. Thank you. I bought your books! 😍
Thanks Susan, well I practise a lot! The day before filming I painted so many butterflies! But my main approach with all of these butterflies is building up the wing with a number of strokes allows you to even up the shape either side

Absolutely stunning found the last one really hard not got the shape at all right, you make it look so easy👌
I spent ages painting these the day before getting so many wrong before these. It’s all about painting lots of them and the practise will teach you something new each time

Oh Kristin every time! I had that even this morning but I've just finished a long day of painting and I feel great. and the last thing I painted was the best thing I've painted in a long while. So never stop if you feel like it's not working. Just try again and you'll get there. So glad to have you watching, welcome back to watercolour after your break!
