I love your "that's fine" and "we'll see what happens" attitude towards gardening - That's Fine would be great on a sweatshirt or tshirt. LOL!. You can tell you really enjoy your garden!
You know your garden by heart. I am amazed how you can call each plant by the actual name. Space in garden is Maximized. You got everything in that Garden. You have to be a herbalist. Garden is so green and beautiful. Looks like you have a green thumb. I am not so lucky with growing herbs. Still trying though.
I’m subbed to a good amount of channels, BUT for some reason when I logged on and see your videos on my page I get so happy! I’m just oop let me go get a snack and sit on down! 😂
I am here for that type of gardening. Some of these channels will have you getting anxiety 😩... As being a new patio gardener, I am a little obsessive over creating a system that works for my plants, as in where best they can go on the patio. However, part of my figuring out the system is so I can make things easier for myself and not creating countless systems to complicate my life. 🥴
I appreciate your passion and realistic view your homesteading efforts. I have lost many thing to a burrowing groundhog in the past. But we live to plant another day having learned the importance of perseverance and adaptation. Your channel is a breath of fresh air.
Hello Asia happy to see you and your beautiful garden💖💖💚🌱🌻it's so green and luscious. I always say your beautiful garden is my happy place. Thank you for sharing and spreading the joy💖
💚🌱🌱🌱🌱Good Morning Asia. You have a Vole (V= Vegetarian) on that bean plant. Voles are Vegetarian and will eat the plants, stems, and roots in the garden. Moles are Carnivorous (M= Meat-eaters) and they love grubs, worms, and insects. The "V" and "M" I pointed out at the top of this comment is how I differentiate between the two varmints. Your garden is fabulous! You put so much love into it and it shows for sure. Thank you for always taking us on tours of your garden, it is Soul-satisfying and inspirational. Looking forward to your next video. Enjoy your harvests and the preservation thereof! Take care, God bless you and your family 💚🌱🌱🌱🌱.
Thanks for deciphering the difference between vole/vegetarian and mole our yard and garden has been terrorized by voles for over two years and when Asia showed the little bean plant that was fine one day and dried out dead the next I thought that’s what’s been happening here.
Wonderful garden. My chamomile didn't do well this year either. I love that you are so honest about your garden. So many YT gardeners pretend that everything is perfect and makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong if a crop struggles. LOL! I have trouble growing watermelon and broccoli, but mostly everything else grows well.
I am just really getting into gardening this year and I look forward to and enjoy watching your videos so much!! Keep up the great work, you have helped to make my gardening journey so much more fun!!!
You really know how to take advantage of every corner of your space. My garden is out of control. My sungold is growing way too big, over 5ft tall and it's taking up space so I keep having to prune and tying the leaves up. I might have to move it elsewhere because the pepper behind it is starting to bend looking for sun around it.
Looking fantastic!!! My squash are almost dead already. I did pick the best tomato I’ve ever eaten yesterday! It was an orange tomato. At first I kept waiting for it to turn red but realized it was orange. I didn’t plant any orange tomatoes though! 😂 I saved seeds!
I really enjoy your content. My current goal/issue is creating ground cover for walkways & weed suppression… All suggestions welcomed. I would like to learn more about how you preserve your harvests! Thank You for sharing your knowledge. 🙏🏽☺️👍🏾
What you pulled out was spinach. Also a tip for onions to really bulb do something called spooning them. Take your finger and push some soil away from the onion bulb. That 1870 homestead has a video it is what worked for me.
Your garden looks great & healthy overall ! 😀👏🏾👏🏾 You will definitely reap an awesome harvest this year! Your hardwork is coming along well! I like that you don’t sweat the small stuff & move on to the next level! You also show what thrived and didn’t make it, but it’s okay! Thank you for giving us an update & garden tour! See you soon from New York! 😀👍🏽💕
I've watched a couple of other gardener's and when their fruit trees got too heavy they would sacrifice some of the fruit to lighten the load on the branches. The branches stopped hanging and the remaining fruit grew bigger
I love your channel. You may want to pest proof your beds in the fall with a combination of landscape fabric, hardware cloth (wire mesh) and cardboard. I just dug up one of my beds to do that because there were so many vole/mole tunnels in the yard I knew they were digging up my beds. As I was digging I saw all the holes. Much better than any other treatment because you won’t kill them just prevent them from uprooting things that you want.
Your garden is looking good. I always look forward to your videos. Last summer and winter, voles consistently ate the roots of my plants. My brassicas harvests were vastly reduced due to that rodent. Sometimes a whole plant would disappear. This spring I planted lots of green onions and society garlic throughout my raised beds. Thus far, I haven’t experienced plant loss by voles.
Awesome Garden🥬🍅🌶🫑🥒. You introduced me to borage & its at the foliage stage & see cluster of buds at the top. This year I'm interplanting & popping seeds every couple of days between the veggies.
Hi Asia. I love seedum. They don't like any kind of fertilizer(they'll flop over), need little to no water, and really like growing in bad soil. The flowers will appear early to mid summer, but they'll be green; late summer to early fall their true color will appear, and they will stay through fall. The spent bloomheads (they turn brown)are good for birds to forage from through the winter.
Asia, my fever few is going crazy, the chamomile has not bloomed at all this year. It's carpet-thick, but no flowers...?! Gardening! Always mysteries and surprises. Thanks Asia.
Hey, Asia! 👋🏼 Your strawberry bed looks amazing! I only did four strawberry plants this year and I’m battling the squirrels for the berries 😂 One of my bean plants got hit with wilt this year. It was growing beautifully, heading up a trellis, then one day the leaves just wilted and the plant died. Lacinato kale is my favorite. It will last you a long time. Mine get up to 4ft tall before I take them out, usually because of aphids, not the flavor. Your garden looks amazing, as usual. 💚
Hey Asia, how are you & the family? The garden is looking beautiful, as always. My little garden is coming along too. Thanks for checking in with us over here. Happy Gardening!😊 💚💚
I missed not seeing your video earlier this week. I saw you on Broke Farmer the other night. BE CAREFUL if any storms come through with your peach limbs.
The sunflowers are struggling because of the weather. I’m in zone 7b as well ( but NY). Sunflowers need hot sunny weather. As it gets warmer consistently they are going to just sprout out of nowhere. Also check your seed pack, if it’s older that could also impact your germination rate. But if they are newer seeds, it’s probably the weather. The hotter and sunnier the weather the more sunflowers thrive.
Voles are vegetarians, but picky. I have all raised beds and they all have hard wire at the bottom.i even have dollar tree small trash cans in the ground where I plant my squash and pumpkins. I just direct sowed some more squash.
Girl, I just love your video tours! You grow such a variety of different things and I just love seeing it all! I've got a post a garden tour myself! But I don't do nearly the variety that you do
Great tour Asia. Congrats on your harvest. I composted in my grow bags with leaves and vegetable scraps then grew my potatoes in them. I started harvested them last week and was so happy with my harvest. I’m about to plant more this week. No more buying potatoes.
You are growing a lot Asia. More seemingly than last year. I was surprised to see the Swiss Chard because I’ve never heard anyone say they can get tall nor have I seen any other’s be that tall. I thought they stayed near ground level as other greens do. I give you lots of credibility for tending to your garden so well. I’m growing some items, but I’m only about 1/20th of what you’re growing. Power to large quantity growers, because the other side of our lives can truly guide us off track, even when we feel so dedicated to gardening. I know it can be a struggle. Keep up your good strength & work in it cause you’re right on point with it all.
this is a reminder that last year, you said you wanted to start another round of tomatoes in June. I am, because it has been super rainy and humid in St. Louis. and I feel like they might get diseased if it doesn't get hot soon. Or maybe I just really love to grow tomatoes? '
Hey Asia I love, love love your attitude about your success and failures. That has helped me the most on my gardening adventures. Those pest almost make me catch a case but now I can say oh well I still got seeds so I will try again🤣🤣🤣. This was my first time growing garlic and I pulled a few but the bulbs were small to me compared to the one in the grocery stores. I grew them from one from the grocery store. Do I dry them and then wash them? Zone 7b in VA also.
Hey the garden is looking good. If you dead head that rose bush it’ll give you new blooms quicker. I got about 12 of them so I know it can be a headache. My grapes and peaches were wild like that last year. SOOO many grapes lol. I pruned really hard this season and am thinning a handful of peaches like every day. 🍇🍑🌹
Your garden looks absolutely beautiful. I am so jealous. I’m allowed to have four large pots and that’s the extent of my garden. I’m in a condo. What can I say.
And also, the peach trees are amazing! How long ago did you plant them and did you start them from a tree from a garden center? Or how? And then also the fig tree same questions.
Hey Asia, can you do a video just on herbs. I see you have comfrey, mugwort, feverfew etc. I'm sure you have more but just wondering where you got the seed or plant from and if you can provide details on their growing habits: difficult, easy, tips, etc. Thank you!
Hi ASIA!! I either got a bad batch of seeds the roselle no matter what method I did nothing germinated😩🤣. Looks like I’ll have to try next year 😩🤣. Hope we get to see friend or put a photo up of her for the dance. (OUTFIT) 🤗KOHLRABI still doing great.
Still watching but commenting so I don’t forget, I love your videos can you please keep us posted on whether or not the comfrey tea is enough for the grow bags???
Do you have any suggestions on how to keep iguanas from eating my garden leaves? Tried spraying organic pesticides on the leaves but those iguana bastards 😂 are resilient.
I honestly don’t do much other than hand picking. I spray water on plants that have an abundance of pests on them. I think my garden’s ecosystem is kinda taking care of the bugs and pests for me right now.
I love how easy going you are!
It's your personality for me!! 💃🏾I could listen to you explain anything 😂
I was literally just thinking about that! 😂 I love her voice. The intro takes me out. I have to make myself not click on these videos sometimes. 😂❤
Me too. 😆 🤣 😂 I know I'm going to have me some fun when I'm watching. Lol
@Spondennysgarden7b true.😄
Riiight!😂
I love your "that's fine" and "we'll see what happens" attitude towards gardening - That's Fine would be great on a sweatshirt or tshirt. LOL!. You can tell you really enjoy your garden!
I just love watching your videos. I get such inspiration from watching your videos.

WOW!!! now you're growing baby birds, I ❤❤❤ it. So sweet 🥰 Your garden looks fantastic 😊
Lots of fledgling in my urban garden right now too. I love it!
I absolutely love your no rules gardening. ❤

Hello Asia happy to see you and your beautiful garden💖💖💚🌱🌻it's so green and luscious. I always say your beautiful garden is my happy place. Thank you for sharing and spreading the joy💖
Freezing kale like that is ingenious!
The moles are probably why you have a cat coming in your garden. I have a stray garden cat also.
💚🌱🌱🌱🌱Good Morning Asia. You have a Vole (V= Vegetarian) on that bean plant. Voles are Vegetarian and will eat the plants, stems, and roots in the garden. thank you so much for this I will always remember this now
I love how you lay out your garden!
Wonderful garden. My chamomile didn't do well this year either. I love that you are so honest about your garden. Hi Asia! Your garden looks amazing 😍 you keep it real 🌻
When you taste the slight licorice taste in Italian sausage, that’s fennel
Oh wowww…okay…
Your garden is so prolific!💚
Hello Asia love your garden and I always enjoy your videos.
Asia your garden is looking good, that mystery plant looked like spinach to me. Happy gardening everyone!!!
Loving the garden.
I get excited when I hear your intro music!
I am just really getting into gardening this year and I look forward to and enjoy watching your videos so much!! Keep up the great work, you have helped to make my gardening journey so much more fun!!!
Another excellent video !!! I like the way you explain your garden 😊
Beautiful garden Asia, thanks for sharing your tomato trellis method I'm trying it this year❤
My moles have relocated since I started using those solar spikes for moles in my garden .... no chemicals, just push them in the soil and turn them on
I had the same problem with moles using the solar spikes definitely scared them away. Those things are great 👍
Hello, can your recommend the brand the you use please cause they are driving me insane? Thanks
Asia!!!! Hey 👋🏽 gurl hey!

Love your garden. I am usually I. The bushes
i love the realness
I've watched a couple of other gardener's and when their fruit trees got too heavy they would sacrifice some of the fruit to lighten the load on the branches. The branches stopped hanging and the remaining fruit grew bigger
Wherever you have raised soil from the moles\voles continue to step on the soil or water into the raised soil, this will flood the tunnels.
Beautiful garden. You have everything except the kitchen sink growing. 😂😂
Amazing Garden Asia!!! I am inspired & impress. You keep me going on. In my area 9b everyone is further along than I am but I'm hanging in there. Tfs.
Hey hey hey garden cousin!!!!
Everything looks great ❤

Not sure about your birds, but OUR birds are BUSY chasing cicadas 😂😂😂

Love how you hang dry your herbs. Gonna try it. Thank you so much for the loofa seeds. They arrived the day before yesterday. It made my day…😊
Omg...the birds aren't bothering me blackberries this year😮.
They aren't messing with my blueberries this year either - interesting!

What do you do with the lacinato kale? How do you cook it?
It’s on my list to hang herbs this week to gift to my daughter-in-law. I love the abundance we get in our urban gardens.
Beautiful herb harvest! My sunflowers are going slow too 🤔 interested to see results of your comfrey tea in bags experiment! Great tour ty! 😊
You can make fennel tea with your fennel its soothing for the stomach. Love your garden.
Beautiful ❤space you did pack it out this year and it's off to a great start looking very green and beautiful!!
I just love your good garden heart❤❤❤

Have you ever thought of painting your shed door yellow 💛 ✨️ 🤔? 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ I think it would be beautiful.
I have but I really just want to get rid of it 🤣. Gotta find someone to take it down.
@@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead don't get rid of it. Paint the door yellow 💛. I just watched your other channel today.
I was feeling really bad because I just started planting in May, but they are looking pretty good. I am still planting things
I am enjoying your beautiful garden and beautiful ❤
Voles are vegetarians, but picky. I have all raised beds and they all have hard wire at the bottom.i even have dollar tree small trash cans in the ground where I plant my squash and pumpkins. I just direct sowed some more squash.
The rust took my hollyhocks out too, along with some type of beetle ☹️
Girl, I just love your video tours! You grow such a variety of different things and I just love seeing it all! I've got a post a garden tour myself! But I don't do nearly the variety that you do
I started a strawberry patch this year, now I'm scared to look under there 😂

Use the fennel in sausage or a little in the italian sauce for lasagna🤤
Omg l! I am so inspired ❤ I love this.

Greetings. You might try adding Azomite (rock dust ) to the beds
Maybe the PH level in that bed is not good for Spring/Summer plantings?
Your garden looks absolutely beautiful. I am so jealous. I’m allowed to have four large pots and that’s the extent of my garden. I’m in a condo. What can I say.
And also, the peach trees are amazing! How long ago did you plant them and did you start them from a tree from a garden center? Or how? And then also the fig tree same questions.
Thank you! I got them from Lowe’s as trees. I think I planted them in 2021. The fig was a gift this year. I just planted it a month or so ago.
Hey Asia, can you do a video just on herbs. I see you have comfrey, mugwort, feverfew etc. I'm sure you have more but just wondering where you got the seed or plant from and if you can provide details on their growing habits: difficult, easy, tips, etc. Thank you!

Looks great!
Good morning, thank you for the garden tour looks great ❤ and what is comfrey ?
You’re welcome! It’s a perennial plant that has a really deep root so it’s said to have a lot of nutrients.
Thank you ❤️
I understand I'm replanting honey nut sqaush every week 😂
Still watching but commenting so I don’t forget,
I love your videos can you please keep us posted on whether or not the comfrey tea is enough for the grow bags???
Absolutely!
Enjoyed the video 👍🏽😊
❤❤❤
😂 the fig will get stronger every year

Do u hv an electric fence?
No I do not
Hey sis your garden is so beautiful
Great tour. Is the comfrey planted in a pot?
Thank you! I have one in a pot but most of it is in the ground.
It looks like your leek and onions were attacked by thrips. It causes the leaves to be gnarly and twisted
How long have you been gardening? I’m a new subscriber ❤
I’ve been gardening for 4 years! Welcome to the channel, happy to have you here!
Do you have any suggestions on how to keep iguanas from eating my garden leaves? Tried spraying organic pesticides on the leaves but those iguana bastards 😂 are resilient.
😅😂
Lol unfortunately I do not. We don’t have iguanas here. Good luck, I hope you find something that works.

What size is the cattlepanel?
I’m not 100% sure. It was rhetorical cheapest one Tractor supply had. I think the color on it was green. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.
How do you keep the bugs from eating your plants?
I honestly don’t do much other than hand picking. I spray water on plants that have an abundance of pests on them. I think my garden’s ecosystem is kinda taking care of the bugs and pests for me right now.
