Two of my copper wires were severed. I had to order a new field assembly because I pulled too hard on the copper wire that I should have soldered and it broke off behind the coil, but $20 and a week later, I'm up and running again! Thank you so much for this detailed, perfectly done video. I am so happy, and a bit proud of myself for fixing it, but the praise ultimately belongs to you for showing me how. Thanks again!
Thanks. As mentioned this seems to be a common problem with these. Thanks to your video I fixed mine in 10 minutes. Make sure you insert the spring at 6.01. I forgot the first time 😅. Without the spring It won’t turn.
As a female it's always concerning to undertake repairs that men seem able to do with their eyes closed but this video makes everything easy. Thank you so much for such a detailed explanation on how to repair a Dremel.
That could be though my own suspicion is that it’s due to the wire being too loose and eventually breaking from constant vibration and eventual fatigue.
Sorted, thank you! The wire leading to the broken end was caught around the bottom of the coil so I could not pull it through. I cut a fresh one out of the coil and fittrd that, doesn't seem to have any problems. All the best
Unwinding is a possibility. Out of 100 more or less windings, 1 winding less will not unbalance the electromagnetic field. Another solution is to extend the broken line with a similar diameter connection (requires soldering though)
@@jaylagare Thank you very much for video. Although I couldn’t unwind the wire due to it being locked in, I soldered another bit of wire onto the overall winding, which got everything working again..
Could be. But the shaft seems to be well-supported by the bearings and there’s an air gap between the rotor and the wires. My own suspicion is that it’s due to a loosely installed wire vibrating and eventually breaking from friction or fatigue.
I wonder why every deemed I have owned breaks? I am looking for a good professional alternative to this pos! I also wonder why it is only good for lefties when using a cutoff wheel? If you are right handed it throws sparks right at you! Never buying another deemed again, they just do not hold up!

Glad it helped! And thanks for the reminder. Indeed, it’s easy to miss those little things.
Thanks, I just fixed my Dremel because of you.
Good to hear! Glad I could help

You’re welcome! Glad it helped. I know what you mean. One of the reasons for these videos is to show my daughters how to do these things.
Just managed to fix my Dremel with your instructions. Awesome.
Glad it helped!
Thanks Jay! I almost ordered a new Dremel, but this fixed it perfectly!
You’re welcome! Glad to be of help!
Very useful and helpful video. You saved my Dremel. Thanksnfor sharing.
You’re welcome! Glad to be of help.
Excellent video! I have to replace the stop pin and spring. They are coming tomorrow. This video helped taking it apart. Thank you!
Thank you! Glad it helped!
Thank you so much for this video, you saved me hours of work or maybe a new Dremel tool.
You’re welcome! I’m glad it helped.
Thanks mate, you saved me from buying a new Dremel.
Glad to be of help!
Well, I just fixed my Dremel that's been broken for 6+ years... Amazeballs!!! I own you a beer, Jay!
Glad to be of help. Cheers! 🍻
I would have soldered a new flexible wire on the end of the winding as I think it is too tight and that is why it breaks off.

Glad it worked out. When I wasn’t able to unwind, I was too scared to cut so I just soldered on an extension 😅

Thank you, this worked brilliantly. 👍
You're welcome! Glad it helped.
Fucking epic!! This works
Thanks A LOT brother 😀😀😀😀😀❤❤❤
You’re most welcome! Glad it helped!
Fantastic clear, worth while video.
Thank you! Glad you think so!

Bewdy. Worded exactly perfect for me. Many thanks.
You’re welcome! Glad to be of help.
i suspect the wires break due to applying too much pressure when using the tool

It solved my problem, thank you!!!
Glad it helped!
thank you👍👍👍
You’re welcome! I hope it helped!
I cant pull the wire on mine. Its on the first loop. 😢
Unfortunately, that means you’ll need to join and solder. 😢
Same here. Did you make it work?
You'll have to extend the wire a bit
How did the wire get cut?
I believe it’s due to the vibration gradually wearing the wire where it is clamped on.
@@jaylagare That makes sense.

Agree, the stator design seems fragile. Wire broke 2-3 times on me already. Thankfully, was able to fix it so far.
