You can refuse the quest and still retrieve the egg and give it to Lae'zel. I did it during a Dark Urge playthrough where I ended up romancing her. You just have to it as part of clearing out the Creche after turning Lae'zel against the gith. You end up with high approval, get to tell the lady off and get the extra dialogue at the end.
@@strattaravarI will never not kill the evil society of brilliance lady. Not only do I get one of the best clothing pieces in the game, but the one time I didn’t, it broke my quest line with laezel for the egg, and it was as if we didn’t have it
In my first playthrough I helped the blujay, he's small and I thought eagles were abusers because they big. In the second, I spoke to Mama Eagle and Xavier. Now I cannot imagine why someone could kill such wonderful creatures!
Sucks that some of the permanent buffs fall off if you go down.
It's not hidden but I changed the way I play when I met Blurg at The Lodge. He didn't say "Very well, I have mushrooms to catalogue." any more. That stopped me trading with him any further. 😕
Recast speak with dead being a separate spell from speak with dead in your hot bar is mega dumb tbh.
It's actually very beneficial. There's an amulet that lets you cast it. Once cast and you have the "recast" - you can unequip the necklace and still have the recast option, letting you use the necklace slot for something else.
@@Cyb3rM1nd The downside is idiots like me though you could only use it once a day even if the corpse didn't talk. Lol.
I also wish you could deploy two groups of 5 instead of only 4 players so everyone could be played
well, at least on PC there's a mod called "Party limit be gone" that sets your maximum party size to (IIRC) 16.
Flaming Sphere is also immune to demonspirit madness I believe.
Well, duh. Demonspirit Madness only affects summoned creatures. Flaming Sphere isn't a creature.
For the abdirak thingy, you can also keep 1 party member out of the convo and when you take damage switch to them and heal your character with the hellriders gauntlets to get the buffs as well! And keep healing your character to not go bellowing the fail threshold
You can absolutely cast speak with dead on Minthara.
First time I put on those gloves and I saw the red lines I thought for a minute something wrong with game
what do you mean one of the first bodies you can have was nettie
Real alcohol does not freeze the higher the alcohol percentage the lower the temperature required to freeze, something to do with the amount of ethenal in the alcohol.
The more you know
I feel like there's no reason why speak with dead and recast speak with dead should be two different spells since speak with dead doesn't cost any spell slots.
Speak with dead is a ritual spell, so it would technically use spell slots during combat (not that you would ever use it during combat).
I assume Alcohol cannot be frozen much like the reason why i believe blood cannot be frozen; Larian learned better from DOS2. In DOS2 we woupd freeze or electrify any form of liquid more often than water and blood is more easily available as well since all you need to do is stab someone.
there are more picutres not only lohse... have fun finding them all :)
Things you can't just do in DnD cause human DM would just throw you under bus for abuse.
I'm no ornithologist, but I know enough about birds to say that realistically blue jays are complete assholes. They have incredibly vengeful tendencies and will grab their buds and dive bomb you to the point of suicide. Truly the biggest evil in Baldur's Gate.
HA the bluejay! Okay that makes me feel less bad for the bastard
The shield exploit has been patched. You can now only do it once per long rest as intended.
Am I wrong or did he just casually suggest we murder Nettie for a silly trick?
Shield of devotion has been patched (the trick no longer works), it's only a matter of time for the undevout shield
Use the amulet you found in the vault key #1 or #2 in act 3. You can get 2 sorcery points instead one.
It does still work, as of Patch 6, Hotfix 25. You just need to be out of spell slots first.
How do you put slain enemies in your chest? I feel stupid for asking but every time I try to put them in there it won’t let me
Have someone strong enough (Laz’zel or Karlach) pick them up and add to inventory, then transfer them from the inventory to the chest
There's also a portrait of Fane in dining area of the ruins you find Jerga- I mean Withers in
About that with speak with dead, what use do I have if I cast it at the start of the day and see with which I could talk when I cannot cast it again for the day? Buy hundreds of speak with dead scrolls? 🤔
when you cast speak with dead you can use it as much as you want until the next long rest
@@SnjoSnjolaug How? I was always only once able to use it on one dead, the spell button is greyed out afterwards. (For clarification, I'm playing on PS so I have a greatly different UI than on PC)
@@stuffandthings617 There should be a recast option on the right side of the bar. Many spells and abilities that can be reused work like this. Like you can reposition a Cloudkill or keep using Telekinesis. Or re-target a Hunter's Mark or Hex after the target dies.
@@earthen105 I know it should be, but I can't find it. Same with for example call lightning. The one with the image of the caster costs another spell slot although I should be able to recast it if concentration is still up but I don't find where. (Console btw)
@@stuffandthings617on console (with the radials) you have to set a slot for recast speak with dead. when you choose "set slot" and scroll down it will be right there in the list next to speak with dead. it's super inconvenient though since you have to do this EVERY day after casting it bc recast disappears after a long rest and the option doesn't just grey out in the wheel, it fully disappears, so this is why i barely use speak with dead LOL
Speak with the Dead CAN be cast on Minthara.
Not if you recruit her first. You can only speak with dead on minthara and halsin before recruiting them.
2:37 wizard's Flaming Sphere is immune too
Demonspirit Madness only affects summoned creatures. Flaming Sphere isn't a creature.
wow, nettie is helpful for once
alcohol doesnt freeze irl either
What relationship do you have to have with Astarion for him to sniff the blodd? He refused in my playthrough and my relationship was vey high with him.
It isn't just that, he also needs to have bitten you. How else can he know what your blood smells/tastes like? ;)
@@SolarisKane Ah thank you. That makes sense. I think I went to the underdark very early on that run, so I never got the biting scene.
Omg you killed Nettie! You bastards!
oh yeah the potrtrait will definetly change how i play rhe game…
Actually Speak with Dead works on Minthara. But I suppose it's thanks to specific actions. On Durge honour run I planned to have her in the party and just after dealing with the Grove me and my friend decided to come back to Underdark (to a merchant I think?) and by doing so we triggered Mintharas lonely departure to act two which just left her dead at the feet of the Myconid colony, skipping the goblin party altogether and ruining my chance for a playthrough with her (I seem to sabotage this every time)
You can cast speak with dead on Minthara, you just can't have recruited her.
Why the hell do you have nettie dead😅
How do you get rid of Wyll's body?
Arcohol
Great video, but why can't you pronounce alcohol?
ALL KA HALL
Alcohol doesn't freeze irl
4:15 bruh
I think Halsin can have SWD cast on him... Did this before on a playthrough when I found his corpse at the grove gate after raiding it with Minthara. Same when I found him dead in his cell in the goblin camp.
Aka hawl?
OMG YOU KILLED NETTIE!
You didnt? Shes Not very helpful.
It’s free Nettie
They patched the shield of the devout bug for infinite slots
No, they didn't - or at least not successfully. Still works as of Patch 6, Hotfix 25.
@@Cyb3rM1nd well its patched on mine, after I use it I get a note on the shield description saying the spell slot is depleted even if I unequip and re-equip
