David's maternal grandparents were Holocaust survivors - his grandmother from Auschwitz and his grandfather from Bergen-Belsen. On Disturbed's second album "Believe" you'll find a track called "Darkness" that he wrote after his grandfather's passing. David was at OzzFest and his grandfather was in Israel and he got the call too late to be there. "Darkness" is the track that told people he can indeed sing beautifully without distortion, although a billion more have heard The Sound of Silence. You also won't find anything too harsh about the instrumentals on that track.

Only by understanding and accepting where the evil in your heart is can you control it.

not sure if it's a performance from a few years back (which I went to) or the one from around a year ago. but it was brilliant seeing them live in Israel. especially with songs like that, it brings a whole new layer to everything

I was never much into Heavy Metal, but I recognize talent when I see it. The song that states Get Down With the Sickness ( not sure if that's the songs name or not) stuck with me for weeks after I heard it, though. Also, his version of Sound of Silence left me stunned at its sheer rawness. His ability to change from one form of singing to another is pure raw talent. The lyrics on this particular song is literally a SHOUT OUT to how pure evil is devastating and horrendous, and like you said, animal like, will never be tolerated again, as the blinders are off on what these demon like creatures are capable of. It reminds me of Steven King's novella in Different Seasons, the one named "Apt Pupil", where a Nazi ends up in the USA and a teenage boy figures out who he is, and then his own psych goes crazy from it from interacting with him. (The book is much better than the movie.)

I have a question for you sir uploader, are you for Ukraine? And the Azov battalion
Off-Topic me and a friend of mine years ago had an argument over which holocaust movie was more impactful. He said Schindler’s List. I said The Pianist. Which do you think was more impactful?

well don't you feel silly Azov was small before and most got dismissed before combat I'd rather those neo nazis had died fighting instead it was other people who did it. now its basically totally gone think it was maybe 2k strong before now its like 300 and obviously you should be for the Ukraine

@@jacksmith-vs4ct I don’t even know where to start. Azov was small before and most got dismissed before combat? Where are you getting that from? The thing I do agree with you on is other people are dying, Azov is dragging them off the streets to fight. Also, again you saying certain numbers, from where? The same news source that said when Britain saluted a Ukrainian nazi, it was a Putin talking point? And obviously I shouldn’t be for anyone or anything except peace. And the U.S. government and its “allies” are not for it. Zelenzky wants 10 more years of fighting? Why? Because he is getting paid I believe.
