I love your take on the song. The song is incredible. David is among the best of a true Front Man
Sting's strength has always been, tight, highly interprative lyrics. How old is this song?. Thirty years, maybe. Disturbed have taken these words and created a fully credible power ballad that speaks to the zeitgeist of the time. I remember, clearly, how those lyrics spoke to me at the time. It just goes to show. The more things change, the more they renain the same.

I am in San Diego California. Actually in Chula Vista which is about 10 miles north of the Mexican-American border that we share with Tijuana. I would love to see you react to Inside the Fire but it deals with a very sensitive topic. When David Draiman was 16 he found his girlfriend dead from suicide. And the rest of the song is about his survivor's guilt and really feeling the pull to kill himself to be with her. As someone with mental health issues I am very familiar with suicides particularly because I had a very serious attempt on June 16th 2018. Today is December 15th 2020 and I still haven't decided if it was a good thing that I live. And that is the LIE that predominates depression. . The first 5-10 seconds of the video that just penetrates you to the Bone. And he does do a PSA before this song to tell you what it's about and giving the phone number for the National Suicide Prevention. I don't know what you covered Disturbed but obviously Down With The Sickness is a real popular one that people react to. As always I love your reactions and the poems that you put under Thomas. At least if I'm reading that correctly it's you. There are videos of interviews with David Draiman.

It was Sting and I have to say I like his version better only because he is definitely ranked as one of the best performers in music history. The Police also were just phenomenal. Look how many hits they had. Sheezus

After watching all of your reviews of Pentatonix so far I feel I know how to Deconstruct The song. As you said music is supposed to draw you in draw you in draw you in drop you draw you in draw you in draw you in drop in. This song did that. It also had those brief Silence which allows you to Digest what you just heard. So I think you very much for your knowledge and ability to Take a song And or the Video in make it revelent t for today.

This was marvelous! I haven't heard this version yet, and I agree, better than Sting's! I loved the fact that everyone in the video is looking at their own reflection or shadow. You've got to keep faith in yourself to keep going, even when everything else is falling apart.
