Nice build. Tyoe B style with date window you don't see every day. Just a few tips: Use a washer on the hour wheel befor installing the dial so the hour wheel always engages the intermidiate wheel. please use tweezers with a plastic tip. You just scratched the dial when putting the hour hand on. After every hand installation, check if the hand turns ok.

Nice result. I make my own watches, I also use NH35/36. I have more trouble than you with the sweeper though. I use Rodico to hold it in place. I use plastic tweezers to set the hands as I once scratched a dial with steel ones.
Very good build. I would be very nervous about cutting the winding stem in case I cut it too short. Having to adjust for the screw down crown is confusing. Did you apply any thread lock after you finished it?

This movements are advertised as Seiko but Seiko in his watches has a little bit different symbol so it could be that it is produced on some kind of license. Maybe are there people that know better.

You can use but a simple caliper is enough 😀

It is and I sometimes do, but any method you use you should always be carefull because watch parts are mostly very delicate 😬

Next time, I recommend removing the stem before applying the hands. Applying the hands with the stem engaged can damage the movement.

I think you forgot to lock pin after cutting and sanding.
There is no need to do that, there is a spring that locking the winging steam .

Any tips on sizing the timing stem? That's always my issue, especially when working with a screw down crown.
To measure and cut the right length, better do this in steps if you ara not sure.
