This is definitely one of my favorite precons in recent memory, Jared SLAPS, having massive trampling Kavu is nothing to shake a finger at. Appreciate the effort you put into the content :) I’m very excited to make more use of this commander
You did an excellent job of selecting cards to remove. I played it last night and looked through it a few times, and all of those were cards that i was just thinking "oh..... Okay" while playing or reviewing the deck.
I ended up dumping way too much money into upgrading this deck. I went all out and min/maxed the heck out of it. I added in all 10 fetchlands and all 10 shocklands, then stuffed it completely full of the best staples in the format. My list ended up having nothing to do with this precon in the end. It now uses Sisay, Weatherlight Captain as the commander and I swapped out over 80 cards from the precon. And I feel like I sold a bit of my soul in creating it. It's a dream come true deck for me...but it's WAY too powerful for my playgroup. They're okay with me running it right now...they like the challenge...but I know they're going to get real sick of me comboing off turn 5 or 6 eventually. I decided to take out most of the staples in the deck and add in a bunch of slow cards to power it way down again to help match its power level with my playgroup so the games can still be fun for them as well. I'll swap back to my power build once in a while though.
@@GuysThatMagic lol sorry for my big rant above. My last game session this past weekend just made me realize some things. We were able to get 3 games in, and I crushed them in all 3 games...and they weren't even remotely close. But that's not a brag and I'm not proud of that at all. I became so hyper focused and tunnel visioned on creating the best deck I possibly could, that I wasn't even considering 'fun'. My friends are very casual players with very clunky un-optimized decks. It's just not fun for anyone for me to bring such an overpowered deck to the table. I will continue to work on my deck, but will play my under-powered version a lot more. Plus we just discovered the Archenemy format today and that should be a great way for me to bring out my powered up deck to play with them :D
Thing to note on dryad of the Elysian grove & domain-I’m no judge/rule expert, but shouldn’t that make the domain dragon free? Wastes are also a basic land type, for a total of 6.
Wasn’t sold on the original list when I first saw it so I’m looking forward to seeing what Hunter did with the deck. I’ve enjoyed all the previous precon upgrade vids Edit: yep, I like what he did with it.

I don’t put Sol Ring in a deck that the Commander is all pips or anything like that, because I’d rather play a dork that will get me closer to colors than Sol Ring to get me nowhere toward pips 🤷🏻♂️
The sol ring was added to help cast other mana rocks and other spells that’s not our commander. Later in the game it can also help with commander tax as well!
It might have that stuff but might not. New lotus does seem like it would fit in the deck but I’m not sure I’d remove any of the mana rocks from the deck that don’t come in tapped.
I brewed this deck around the neg 3 and neg 6, the precon wasn't good, but i do like this commander and there are very few cards that care about a card being five color, instead of being just five color good stuff.
@@GuysThatMagic to each their own. I saw it recently and had forgotten it's domain ability it really only works well if you got domain completely online and i'd wanna run some madness cards because of it's attack trigger
I love this precon . Studies show on average less than 5% of a given fandom/gamers/hobbiests actually make comments or interact with others online ( in the context of online forums/comment sections) Ive noticed most of the lgs and Walmarts in my are sold out of this precon and not the other. The one lgs I found with one wanted 65.$ for it . Maybe you guys are just out of touch with the kitchen table magic players. I feel like with the budget you have that would be your audience. Any way great video either way. Just hate to see someone bash a precon by making subpar improvements.
Sorry you feel like we are out of touch! All of here on the channel are kitchen table players ourselves and we strive to build a decent upgrade by limiting ourselves to a budget. We just felt like out of the box, this wasn’t the best we’ve seen in all our years of playing. It’s definitely a fun deck though!

Definitely adding Expedition Map. Grab any land card. I was needing to try something radical so 5 colour deck is worth a shot.
Good option like wayfarers bauble as well!
make sure to add tree of the world tree, fixes your colors for rest of the game and fetchable with expedition map

Unfortunately wastes is a basic land but does not have a basic land type. It does not trigger domain.
Was gonna ask, won't this also be bad if someone plays some form of landwalk (islandwalk, swampwalk) against you?

Should I assume the 300 would have stuff like Chromatic Orrery and or Door to Nothingness? Same with the new Lotus?

how was Zaxara not removed? it does absolutely nothing especially without lavalanche
At the end of the day it still was a creature that could get 3 +1/+1 counters that also has deathtouch and acted as a mana rock if needed.
I'm surprised I didn't see the MH2 domain Kavu added in.

Companions are legal in EDH. There are two that are banned from being a companion.
