The second tip in this video I actually found out myself completely by accident When I deleted the road once and placed it back in the wrong place Very good tip
One more little trick: you can build overpasses right over the quay/sunken highways (use the road snapping tools to only raise the elevation by 1 unit instead of the default 4). I did not know about the cul-de-sac trick, pretty cool.
A tip to make your video better: While editing, cut out the um's and ar's. Even if you feel like the video is 'choppy', it actually makes it flow better and easier to listen to.
I wanted to thank you for doing this tutorial. Unfortunately, I suffer from FOMO big time and I use all the platforms to play this game. In a perfect world, we could build a city and access it from any platform we wanted, or even multiple platforms. Build it on PC, jump on later with Xbox, PS4, or even mobile at some point. Unfortunately, this fractured technology we live with these days limits things in very strange ways. We have a game named Cities Skylines. I pull it up on computer and it looks and works one way. Then I pull up the same named game on console, and it is severely limited in what it can do. #FAIL Thanks for taking the time to show how to accomplish some of these things. I have a PS4 and and Xbox One X. I like to play on PC, but currently don't have any PC to play it on except my 2016 27" iMac, which is currently in my basement office. It is good to know that a person can make some of this stuff happen on console. I hope you keep making these. It would be great to know more about terraforming. I have trouble leveling ground. I really struggle with doing roads and highways. Especially round-abouts. Curved roads always frustrate me as well. Trying to figure out which road to use in the road selector. Placement of trees and shrubs, because you can't place them on top of each other in the console version. So they look artificial. Just some ideas. Thanks and great job!!

On the other side, however, the limits of the game drive us to be creative with what we are able to use. This is how I came up with these tricks and I wanted to share some of them with you people. I would love to to put out much more content as of now. It is just very time consuming to make these videos on console + transporting it to the Pc in order to cut and edit them. Recently I haven't had the time to do that, but I'm sure I am going to be able to produce some more of these vids. Thanks!
For some reason, people never do this but here’s a tip: if you’re draining the water after building a sea wall/sunken highway, you can use a water pump to drain it out.
Demetrius Hicks I’ve done something similar to this. If you don’t attach water pumps to the main water pipes, they just keep pumping forever but the water doesn’t go to your citizens. So, I made my sewage disposals in canals that also have these pumps. I pretty much made a sewage treatment plant
When I was thinking of buying the green City DLC I was thinking not to buy it because there wasn’t a lot of stuff I needed but since I saw this video I’m like OMG I need to buy this right now one more thing I also wanna get it because of the office buildings
As far as cul-de-sacs, I make a small roundabout with one way roads. They come with the benefit of being able to zone 2 block wide houses on them aswell. Atleast where I am from, I’ve seen cul-de-sacs with trees and greenery in the middle

It sometimes takes multiple tries for the parking lots to grow, but if you used the correct zoning option and only zone 2x4 square, it should pop up at some point. Try again and let me know if it works!

Not having any luck with parking lots. 2x4, zoned for local produce, placed low commercial. Buildings keep popping up, I keep demolishing. Did get a electric charging station but I think that was considere a building. Do I need to change any policies for the distric?
Theoretically they are buildings (in the game) and yes, half of the parking lots are for electric cars, but it is the best you can get without mods unfortunately... you don't have to change any policies though
Health services! Areas with loud sounds place health services and it makes it more tolerable for them. Another thing would be to zone office space inbetween residential and noise sources, offices won't absorb the noise but will fill the swathes of empty space you would encounter when distancing residential zones.
The buildings in the last tip (how to spread power without the big, ugly power lines) seem to be placed next to pathways. However, they don't complain about not having access. How did you do that?
Commander Kobe I meant the white apartment buildings, not the “shed” like disaster service buildings. The ones you are bringing power to. How come they are not complaining about access?

It comes with the green cities dlc (sustainable commercial or so)... I'm afraid there is no fix for that. On console, you have a limit for props and trees... One tip though: Always delete the trees before you place down roads or buildings because they count, too.. although they're invisible at this point.
Great info, but if I could suggest one thing, I would suggest that you start writing a script for your episodes. You were stumbling quite a bit through your lines. I was bombarded with 'umm's' left and right. It just makes you sound like you don't know what you are talking about. Clearly you do, the info was great. Just need to work on your lines and minimizing ummms.
I will definitely try to do that. It's just a bit hard to consentrate on both building and moderating. And recording the audio afterwards is nit really an option. But thanks anyway

I did too:) Actually everything on the channel I found out by accident or trial and error over time.
It's easier to just build a 4 lane road and then place the building, and then upgrade the road to the single smaller road personally I find.

One cool way to get rid of water in areas quicker is placing a pumping station. Sucks the water out quick

I have struggled to make a city that works in this game. They always get angry about the loud sounds.

The disaster service buildings don't necessarily have to be attached to a road, you can place them wherever you like.
