THIS IS MY SEASON. The somewhat mutedness combined with warmness and looking washed out in cool colors and pastels makes so much sense now. I was so between winter and summer, but autumn felt too muted and neutral. I know what I am now! I'm so excited. My eyes even have the sunburst pattern, they just look more like a light brown or dark hazel with tinges of green around the edges. I grew up with medium brown hair that has gotten darker as I've gotten older, but always had golden highlights from the summer sun. I'm super pale so I thought I MUST be cool toned, but I've always felt off from the cool colors and other cool-toned people. Thank you!

You can try breaking black with jewellery that has light reflection: pearls, silver, lemon gold, or even silk or silk-like scarves ;) After all, there is also makeup ;)

I’m bright spring and East Asian! Just got typed in Seoul South Korea and so excited 😊 my cold facial features like dark brown/black eyes against light skin gives high contrast but my skin is warm. But both gold and silver look good on me.
Most blue Colors look bad on me unless very bright.

I love how you said our skin is like chameleon - in the winter I have to get neutral alabaster foundation, but in the summer I can get a warmer shade. One question I wonder is am I making a mistake by dying my hair dark? I’m a natural light reddish brown/dark blonde color, but I’ve been using dark golden brown & it makes my eyes pop I think. Would love to have an expert opinion! 😍🌷

Hi Amber ;) It can be dark, but it's better to have it in a warmer shade. Like you said you have it in dark golden brown - should work well for you as golden brown is supposed to bring warm undertones. The opposite of what you probably shouldn't do is to have dark hair with blue-ish or too ashy (grey) undertone . Otherwise golden brown should be perfect for you ;)

I had a colour analysis done about 10 years ago and was diagnosed to be soft deep summer so lived in muted colours but felt so dull and washed out. Recently one lady TH-camr suggested I’m bright spring which I’m now sure I am given how neon green looks really flattering on me. Thank you so much for this video it’s very informative. There doesn’t seem to be much on bright spring on TH-cam so glad for your input

I always thought I was dark autumn, but apparently I'm bright spring... I do like wearing darker colours, so which dark colours are recommended for bright springs?

  • @jassielpeguero3373

OMG... I've been struggling my entire life because, I grew up in an era where ladies and women's used to wear ashy and pastels colors. Because of it, I always looked death or pale as H^%&..... like drown out. When suddenly in 2012 and up, the Gamine vibe invaded the runways and color started to form part of everything, I saw my self shining in the mirror. Still, it is a bit hard to find out something that suits me. It is not so common to find out pure/bright tones at stores now days. Sometimes, will depend on the seasons, but mostly it is very hard.
I do confirm that I'm from this season because of the lipsticks, but no so much of the clothes. I do look good on black and white, but just a little bit less, than wearing a bright cream color. Thanks for your videos!

Nice video! I had a colour analysis done the other day and I am diagnosed to be bright spring, which was so surprised because I always thought I would be diagnosed to be winter. your explanation really helped me to understand "bright spring" is not typical spring but has a touch of winter :)

    • @FilosoFashion
      @FilosoFashion  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I'm glad it helped you ;) However, also be mindful of the actual season change. If you change harshly during winter (like your skin color gets whiter, hair darker, etc.) time you might still lean towards winter colors and during spring/summer towards "Spring" color palette if you get a little tan.

Yes, you don't have to be a generic type of Spring to wear this color palette. Color is more complex than that :)

Great video! For the longest time I thought I was a BW, my hair, eyes and skin aren’t obviously warm so figuring out my season it’s been really tricky, but after I tried on a bright warm green sweater I understood I was actually a BS 😊

I have basically Marcias exact skin tone, but deep brown red/gold hair and pure ice blue eyes. I've been STRUGGLING HARD not to classify myself as a bright winter, but because of my skin and how awful gray clothes and jewelry look on me, this is where I have ultimately landed. Ugh...

Think of the seasons as a spectrum rather than sharp delineations. You might very well fall between two palettes. For example, I'm a bright spring, but I edge toward winter, with dark brown eyes with a green line encircling the iris, porcelain skin, and medium brown hair. I can wear most of the bright spring colors, but not too bright, and not more than one bright at a time. None of the brightest yellows. I can wear very light clear gray, like a silver gray, but not dark charcoal gray. My best colors are clear lilac, clear medium warm pink, true lime green, tangerine, medium golden brown, and bright turquoise. (Muted, ashy tones are deadly for me.) So I use the bright spring palette as a guide, but I avoid most of the very brightest colors unless they're part of a print. It's kind of like walking a tightrope, at times.

As a colorist, I would suggest level 3 with a warm gold or auburn glaze. True black or blue black would probably be too harsh, unless you're going for a goth-leaning effect. My natural color is level 3 (brown-black) with intense red highlights in the sun, but it looks almost black in artificial lighting. Good luck!

I recommend trying a black wig, first. I'm a bright spring, and I look like a vampire in black hair. My teenage son, also a spring, dyed his hair black and he was absolutely miserable about it. We had to take him to a salon to have it bleached out.

So my color season has always been hard to pin down. I'm neutral cool skin tone, but have dark mahogany hair and that cognac color for eyes (deep golden reddish brown). My mother and sister are very much deep winter, and having the same skin tone but warm eyes and hair kinda threw it off.
I look hideous in pastel colors, super washed out.

I saw another thing that basically said it's kinda a point system. I have a neutral cool skin tone, but dark reddish gold brown eyes and mahogany red hair. I'm too warm for winter but too clear for autumn and I look good in deep winter colors, so it seems I'm probably a bright spring
