Channel Four's celebrated music programme The Tube featured an air guitar competition in 1983 or so. Foreigner's Mick Jones presents the lucky winner with a Gibson SG.

I can understand why theres a few negative comments here because to the modern 'MTV' X Factor conditioned person this looks sad but this ground breaking program contained much tongue in cheek fun, it didn't take it self seriously, was not scripted and anything could happen, they did not care about what they did or worry about which sponsor or PC brigade got upset, great days...
