    The key ingredient in Angus' style is confidence, that is what I learned from him. And from Paul Kossoff!
    Both are badass confident players.

    long ago I read in a Guitar mag of James Hetfield interview. Early 90’s. He said that the space between the notes is the most important sound never made. Angus use of the Pentatonic is the most tasteful for sure.,his timing, phrasing and silence between notes is what makes him such a Guitar god. Great vid

    Angus and Malcolm were amazing together. AC/DC probably had one of the strongest rhythm sections out of a lot of bands back then. I am a Bon Scott fan more than Brian. but they still kicked a$$ when I saw them back in 2000.

    I once read an interview with Angus in Guitar World Magazine, where he said that reason he looks like he’s spazzing out while he plays is because he’s so small. He has to put his whole body into it when he plays. He’ll bend a note but he can’t bend it as far as it needs to go unless he shakes his leg, or throw his head back. He has to do a tuff like that through the whole show. That’s why he’s the hardest working man in Rock & Roll.

    Back in Black is a great album to pick up all kinds of fundamental rock and roll licks and techniques. Every song is fun to play, it’s challenging enough for beginner/intermediate players but not so much that it’s frustrating, the lead phrasing is very nice… it’s great stuff. Angus’ vibrato is among my favorites of any player. I wore the entire album out in my early days as a player way back in the 1980s.

      @Bad Boys Boogie angus is literally copied by every guitarist because he is generic. Only his energy can’t be matched but his playing is straight blues nothing new. Especially the new album sounds exactly like the last 5 couple songs are different but it’s still pentatonic.

    • @OriginalKingRichTv
      @OriginalKingRichTv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@flatstheflounder9874 agreed but to reach the level of status of angus you gotta be a likeable person to keep shoving the same album down peoples throats for 40yrs yet you have bands like Metallica who are far more advanced and branched away to more technical songwriting but gets hatred. Anyone that would say he doesn't have much skill because he favors minor pentatonic , couldn't write a lick let alone a solo like him consistently, song after song . I was just wondering cuz I think that's the best way to learn is listening to it and matching what you're hearing. But I don't care, hands down you are one of the best teachers I have ever known! You keep up the good work bro and thank you so so much! And yes Angus has always amazed me by what he plays. I can play a little bit of it but we never had anybody that could sing it lol so I pretty much had to take up my time learning new stuff that we could sing. • @georeed62
      @georeed62 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RobertBakerGuitar that's what I do almost exactly as well except for the tabs. I used to go out see other bands and watch League player and then go out to my car where I have my acoustic and try and match the licks while I still remember them. I started with John Denver's greatest Hits album that the man that got me hooked on guitar gave me and it had the book along with it with the pictures of the chords above the notes you know what the kind I'm talking about. I learned every song on that album. And man that would help me a lot to get started. I know you have got a lot of mileage because you are very very good at what you do. Remember that compliments coming from a 49-year player. But I'm not really too awful good anymore I don't play as much due to it back injuries. Worked on a wall while drilling rigs for 15 years and it just ate me up. What do you charge for lessons?
