- A few months ago I stumbled across a great deal on a 2JZ GE engine and of course I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy one of the most legendary engines ever created! I bought it not quite knowing exactly what to do with it but after quite some time, I've decided to swap it into me 2022 Subaru BRZ. This car doesn't even have 5,000 miles and we are already about to engine swap it LOL

This is what I was gonna do for a long time but The BRZ ended up selling and I couldn't justify spending 1600 bucks for rods and Pistons JUST to handle 600 horsepower. And there's been several Stock 2J cranks handling 1000 horse! Cool build! Awesome video! 2JZGE is the GOAT!

Very cool project! Remember to change out the valve seals since you have the head off already. Also you can change the valve springs if you like and maybe the valve buckets if you want to rev higher. Anyways just some suggestions but it will be nice build for you. Good luck!
You should do white valve covers with gold flake because it'll match with whatever colour you paint the car and you can do matching break calipers

the belt should be a neon or bright purple and the covers should be a nice blue i think that would look nice
Get a clear valve cover like Throtl did with the blue accents. Or purple if you're planning on keeping the car purple

Look at the crank, if you see any black marks it means its no good. Black marks mean metal to metal contact.
A bright turquose blue or a bright sky blue would look insane

I'm leaning towards a nice gold color to just offset from the purple body. Really will make it POP when the hood is up. You'll have people drawn to the engine bay from a distance.
Side note; purple matching face cover to keep the offset match with the gold valve cover

First time to the channel, i feel for you dude, these are the chances we take running our engines to the limits. One small mistake and the spoon flips off the grenade. The pin was already pulled by taking it to that level of performance. I have a done up GTI VR6. All we can do is rebuild with the knowledge gained. You have learned to not leave a weak link in the chain. Maybe a 2J swap? Cheers from Canada

Honestly with a big turbo like a g30-660 the new fa24 could see about 470-500 hp on e85. Biggest limiting factor now is the standard gearbox. But still keen to see how this swap goes

Crank is actually good for well over 1000. Most only upgrade to run a stroker crank or save weight.

the stock crank is good for 2000hp not 700 lol how ever the stock main caps crack over 800 and will need to be billet if you plan on 800 plus

This engine is only about 20lbs heavier than the FA24, but sits a lot higher and is a lot longer. I assume it will make the front end a bit weird in terms of handling, but curious to see how it turns out.

Does the lack of cylinder oil squirter’s ever concern anyone when turbo charging the GE engine? I guess if you’re going for a 700hp daily, that hopefully wouldn’t matter??
