Anybody can open up as many savings accounts as they want and call them w/e they want; travel funds, rainy day, car account etc. He got the car when he was 17, his mom said aside from chores he had a few entrepreneur jobs. I'd assume aside from doing family chores, he cut grass for other neighbors, relatives, perhaps shoveled driveways, maybe a lemonade stand, paper route, who knows. Between 13-17 there's a high probability he had a basic job of some sort. He might of also saved everything from birthdays, Christmas, etc. I'd say what he was paid for chores makes up less than you think. But if we go with your logic of his parents paying him $1500/ year, $1500/52 weeks works out to rough $28.85/week that's like $4 a day if they got the kid cutting grass, doing dishes, sweep, mop, vacuum, laundry, making his own lunches stuff like that that's so worth the $4 a day. There's even tax breaks for stuff like that, under dependents paying your kids an allowance can be a tax write off, if documented and filed properly. Not all, but some states/provinces accept it. The engineering on this car is amazing. It's obviously a track-focused car, and I would love to see how it performs in that environment in acceleration and handling.
I’m not gonna lie, I saw so many people hyping up this car for being an LS swap, and didn’t really see anything special about it. But now watching this video and hearing all of the things he’s done to it is honestly mind blowing. Takes some serious dedication to go and try something you’ve never done.
My burnt out mid-30something self that used to build honestly sees this as an inspiration. I was born into all things aviation & auto, lived in junkyards & shops at his age, and old trama & mental shit left me unable to stay in the community & industry with who I was around. But I miss the art aspect of all this, that I never got to fully realize.

The fact that this is the guys first car is amazing. The amound of work and hours into this is insane. He likes cars but obvi the way he thinks in terms of engineering is the real gem here. Not many people could think the way he does to figure all this out.
The car is not my cup of tea, but very impressive build from such a young guy with his head in the right direction. We definitely need more young talent in this industry.

Go for it follow your heart and live it....! Everybody has this in them, no matter what your passion is.....but you must, walk towards it with knowing. Enjoy YOUR journey.

Those off road welders are the best. The amount of minimalist engineering to build something that can endure has an amazing outcome. Rock crawling and trophy trucks have the most extreme geometry with space savings.
I'm not buying ANY of this story, that guy looks way older than 21 years old, and I highly doubt he "built" all of that stuff, its been bought by fabricators and this car is a hell of a lot more money than 15,000 dollars or whatever bullshit has been peddled. listen dude came from money and thats how it was possible but the support of family made him do it which is dope as hell
Props to the parents for being so supportive
I have been following this guy since he first started this build a while back and it has been awesome to watch come together
I love this kid! (No homo😂) his family, the way he just dives in, the aspiration…brings a tear to my eye 🥲 go you! 😊 thank for featuring him and his family!
I am so stoked to hear a young person beinvolved in car modification and building. He is confident, intelligent, and has great family support. Cheers to him and his family.
I wouldn't do a back window, I would do a carbon fiber louver panel.
Excellent work. The passion and patience to build something like this on a first car is unreal. Big things coming your way in this industry.
A serious king of all trades. Not a jack a king. Great shit bro!!!
He is so confident and well spoken yet respectful and humble. Larry genuinely seems proud like a parent
we are so lucky that some of these kids are actually doing something amazing like this
Edit: if you don’t like this and/or didn’t hit the like button, ask yourself why, realize these type person is what we need to continue.
From the driftgames boys finding him random af, to this spotlight, what a legend. I defended him against someone stating, must have time and money….I was like how dare you. He has what I had, nothing, and he made something incredible. Keep it up youngster, you’ve taught me a lot, your parents are legends and prove support is key to proper development, not money.
This kid will never need to type up a resume. This video will land him absolutely any engineering job.
I grew up with this guy it is cool to see where he has gone in life
Truly gifted young man driven by that passion of all the STEM fields as play over a short period of time. Amazing project.
The engineering on this car is amazing. It's obviously a track-focused car, and I would love to see how it performs in that environment in acceleration and handling.
I love how the intake is on backwards. It's so clean under the hood almost looks too good to be true. Hella build and wicked mind!
Nice freaking job you did a great job. The 8-1 headers are sick.
I’m not gonna lie, I saw so many people hyping up this car for being an LS swap, and didn’t really see anything special about it. But now watching this video and hearing all of the things he’s done to it is honestly mind blowing. Takes some serious dedication to go and try something you’ve never done.
that kid is going places. he's creating his own path
This guy has got a bright future and has a lot to give the car culture be wicked to c what he is doing in 5 year's frm now. EPIC 😎🇬🇧✌👍👊
The only video on TH-cam with100% positive comments, and for good reason. What a work of art!
23:50 It’s not just his first manual transmission car, it’s his first automatic transmission car, his first car, first project car, first everything car.
21 years old. This kid is going places. Just beautiful work!
Very impressive portfolio! This guy is amazing.
W car, W sound, W dude, W supporting granpa and fam
Thank you larry for providing these video.
Parent of the year award! Grandfather of the century award!
I helped do the renders for Cams car. Love his car!
This build is absolutely stellar, being his first project. The attention to detail already, his future builds are going to be SEMA worthy every time forsure
He should put on a plexiglass rear window held in with hood pins
INCREDIBLE. This young guy is the complete opposite of “car influencers” like TJ Hunt. Car culture has a future 🔥
It’s kinda sad realizing he’s the same age as me, yet he’s accomplished so much. Definitely a motivation for me to get off my ass lol
Nah dude, I'm 37 and my project car is still not done, let alone anywhere near his build. And I can only be happy for him. :)
You're 21 dude! lets go!
Pure passion following his heart. This is the way of the current future. All of you gather your dreams, don't ask how, don't try and figure out the details. Go for it follow your heart and live it....!
Everybody has this in them, no matter what your passion is.....but you must, walk towards it with knowing.
Enjoy YOUR journey.
When someone says built by 21 yo I just think built by financial stability and generational wealth. Show me some 30 year old no college degree building something and I'll look at it grass roots. Too many people have a head start nowadays
The kid can't help the family he was born into but he can at least acknowledge his extreme luck. So odd how most of the comments are riding the dude.
So what's the problem? Mind your jealousy, it might hurt you someday
@@javier987 dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I’m not jealous. I’m more so pitiful. Kids who never have hard days usually turn into man children as adults. You’re clearly one of em trying to tell other people how to act on a TH-cam comment section. Weird.
Looks like a trust fund build to me, being sponsored by the family money, very similar to what we've seen on other channels like WhistlinDiesel, just some young guy coming out of nowhere with some insane money to their name and no explanation of where its all coming from.
I just now watched this mini-documentary & can only say WOW!! My hat is off to this young man & his family of supporters who helped him along his quest to build his vision. Wishing you all the best 👍
What an inspiration the way this young man talks about developing skills. We can all take a leaf out of his book and perfect whatever interests us. A very bright future ahead of him
21 year old genius! Amazing and very inspiring! This is incredible! This kind of skillset takes some guys decades to get. This young man is bright and has already started his legacy. Congratulations! You are changing the scene and bringing more younger crowds wich is great for the car community. Fine Job I'm amazed
Cam is insanely talented. From literally fabricating a new chassis, 8-1 headers, ls swap, to outstanding gloss black paint on his FIRST CAR. Absolutely unbelievable.
This boys got MAD SKILLS ! That FRS is off the hook. It looks like it holds the road like a magnet on steel.
Those headers and wheels are sick. FRS to the total EXTREME..
The whole thing just
blows my mind.🤯
What an awesome story. Teaching family to work hard and sacrifice for what they want to achieve in life.
Soo cool see mum being proud of her son.
Wish all you the best future.
Cheers from Sweden
So impressed, somebody needs to give this kid a budget and hire him cause this is the beginning of a very successful career in automotive
huge props to mom and dad for raising such a stellar kid. awesome job with build, cam!
