Jay flipping on Michaela should be included. Hell, Michaela's over-the-top reaction and Jay's cool response "Yeah, I did that." is one of my favorite survivor moments. Jeff even stops reading the votes at one point because of the drama!

B Sundra was such a nice woman but yeah the final 3 with Becky sitting next to Yul and Ozzy makes for some really funny questions to her
Chuck Smith i feel like she was given like they could've made good game changing moves if they wanted too. But Yul and Ozzy were such huge players that Sundra and Becky were hugely over shadowed

They didn’t know yul had the idol and it would not have been flushed. Penner tried to convince them to vote for someone else but they weren’t listening. Nate still would have gone home and Penner would have been next if he didn’t flip. On top of that Penner was being treated like dirt by his tribe members.
I actually really loved Becky and Sundra, but really only for their personalities if nothing else because their gameplay was somewhat lackluster. And the Becky-Sundra fire-making challenge is one of the things that makes Cook Islands one of my favorite seasons to rewatch just because of how funny it is lol.
But yeah, that is a pretty good description of the Aitu 4.
Parvatti flipping on Ozzy and blindsiding him with an idol in his pocket, then allies herself with his biggest ally, Amanda, who she beats at the end! Flippers do win!

The most rememberable flip was in season 28, when Kass flipped and sent Sarah home

I actually heard in an interview that in a ponderosa poll, 3 out of the 8 jurors in a Woo-Kass final 2 would actually vote for Kass. So, all she’d have to do is convince two people not to vote for woo and then she wins. That’s funny cuz that almost makes Woo a kingmaker.
EDIT: Then we’d have tony in Cambodia, probably instead of Varner, and I’d LOVE to see him play with Wentworth that’d be a crazy season (Idol King Vs Idol Queen)

I mean, Cochran flipped in Caramoan in the final six and look where that got him..

Actually, Woo has the best flip. He did a BACK FLIP!! It is a different type of flip so it is truly unique
The walk back to camp after Penner flipped back to Aitu was one of the funniest moments in Survivor history imo. Candice and Parvati berating Penner then screaming "Yul doesn't have the idol!" with Penner replying "You know what, Yul does have the idol!".... cut to Parvati with the most dumbfounded look on her face LMAO. Gets me every time 😂😂😂. I liked the Raro players (minus Candice) but they weren't the smartest bunch.

dan's outwit outplay outlast puzzle is my favorite moment from survivor of all time, and I love almost everything about the show...I just paused at 1:07 and laughed for a good 5 minutes

PS: I've watched and re-watched South Pacific, and I'm STILL not certain: was Coach just pretending to like Cochran to get him on his side? I can usually tell when people are lying, but Coach is elusive to my sixth sense for some reason. Maybe he's such a good liar that he believes his own lies? Who knows. He's still my favourite player ever.
Courtney called him a pathological liar in Heroes VS Villains in one of her confessionals.
@@kellydaunis, yeah, but that kind of thin is just for the show. I imagine she's as mouthy as I am in real life (i.e. quite a bit), but the producers would have told her to play it up. You know all these people are just totally normal, nice people off the screen.

I'm not a fan of Coach but his work flipping Cochran to the Upolu side was impressive. He was able to realize quickly that Cochran wasn't comfortable in his alliance. And the speech he gave Cochran about bullying felt heartfelt and genuine. Impressive play.
Facts it was hilarious watching Albert and Sophie try to take the credit for their success lol
Andrea getting voted out wasn't a flip. The entire alliance betrayed her for having too much power through the idol. A 'flip' literally flips the entire narrative of the game (ie Galu vs Foa Foa)
To be fair it wasn't on the list, it was just a clip he showed.

-Jay and Will flipping on Michaela. (Survivor MvGX)
-Devon, Ben, Ashley, and Lauren flipping on their alliance of 7. (Survivor HvHvH)
- Aubrey (and the girls) flipping on Debbie. (Survivor Kaoh Rong)
Tai from the season where he didn't play his idol will be there, and hopefully Ben from HHH when he flipped on his tribe to become the seemingly unstoppable powerhouse in his season.

Although true, it's worth noting that Russel actually didn't _want_ to do that. He actually admitted as much in confessional; he screwed up by giving Fincher more information than he should have, and voting him out was the only way to fix the mistake. So it's not like Russel _planned_ on betraying him from moment one and Fincher just misread him; Russel intended to take him further, he just fucked it up.

Wait, wait, Parvati married John? Are you KIDDING me? I mean, God knows they'd have beautiful children together, but the guy couldn't play Survivor to save his life. She'd play circles around him if they ever played together. Sandra might be the queen but Parvati is pretty damn close to taking her crown for best female to ever play the game.

How much sleep has Jonathan lost in his life for not flushing Yul’s idol?!?! This would’ve been such a great move before moves like this were even considered. Jonathan could have etched his name in survivor lore.

Ozzy was okay with going to rocks because he had immunity.
People need to understand that there is a difference between flipping and blindsiding, a flip is when you switch to a different alliance but a blindside is when you vote someone in your alliance out and stay in that alliance
I remember having big arguments where people kept defending Fincher's move in Samoa. It wouldn't be such a big deal except that this is a ROCKET SCIENTIST who's supposed to be a master of NUMBERS.
I was like, "Is this guy really a rocket scientist?" He substituted 50/50 his tribe maintains power with the rock with 100% getting voted off next to survive three more days! What made it more funny was him going on and on how analytical he was leading up to that lol.

I would credit Tony for getting rid of Cliff as it was his decision and Twila for being the one to plan the blindside of Leann. Paschal and Naleh need to be tied although if I had to give the nod to one it would be Naleh as she seemed more of a decision maker.
So what would your thoughts be on doing a top 5-10 flippers? So you could have like all the people who were made famous by a single flip (Cochran, Kass) or people who were notorious for their flipping back and forth between alliances to further their own games (Sarah in game changers, Rob Cesternino in the Amazon).

5:17 this is explained by Yul in the final tribal council, he tricked john into thinking that his alliance thought he had the super idol, so John thought that if he revealed that Yul had the idol he would be voted off by adam and parvati right away

Raro didn't know that Yul had an Idol and they weren't flushing it. They were voting Yul because they saw him as the next best option after Ozzy won Immunity. Penner all but told them Yul had it and they all pretty much said "no he doesn't you idiot get back in line" As for what's in the top 5, I'm guessing Ciera at Final 6 in BvW, Lil in Pearl Islands, and one of Sarah's several in Game Changers will show up.
no, he was saying it from *Penners* opinion. (penner knew yul had the idol, and could've easily done that)
If Penner did Peridiam's suggestion and voted for Yul and flush out his idol, he could win the trust back of Raro as they could see that Yul did have the idol.

Okay, I am entirely new to this channel (just subbed after finding you about ten minutes ago), and has anyone ever told you that you sound almost EXACTLY like Cochran? Seriously, it's creepy. Good creepy though. I like Cochran.

I love this channel so much! I watch every video and always try to predict what's on the list. I personally believe that Kass' flip on the brains + Sarah, Morgan and Jeremiah is the most iconic flip of the series. But on the other hand, Cochran's flip is the most infamous of the series. Probably one of the worst moves in Survivor history. But it wouldn't make my top 5 worst moves, JT takes up 2 spots on that list (Number 5 for leaving his idol at camp in GC, and the obvious number 1 is the HvV thing where he gives russell the idol. Duh.) Flipping is generally considered a bad thing, but flipping is usually way more beneficial to your game rather than not. Ok, so some flips turned out horribly (John Fincher) but in the long run, Cochran's flip got him a higher placing than what he'd have gotten if he hadn't flipped. It'd be someone going home from rocks, then probably ozzy next, then jim. If he didn't already get rocked out, I say Cochran goes home here. He knew lots about the game going into it so he'd be a threat. Especially over Whitney, Keith, and Dawn. They're OK in challenges, but not really strategic threats. All in all, flipping isn't always bad! Kass to final 3, Cochran to 7, and so on. That's all!
The JT ones aren't flips. That's just him being a dumbass.

I have bad memory so I can't remember exactly what happened but would Jay turning on Michaela in MvGX be a flip? It wasn't at the merge so idk but damn that was surprising and Michaela's reaction killed me lol
I agree that Trish was the most underrated player from Cagayan. Loved her, and I wish she'd be considered to return.
Watching Jay and Will flip on Mikayla will never not be entertaining

I see 6 possibilities for the top 5 : Paschal and Neleh in Marquesas, Rob in the Amazon, Twila and Scout in Vanuatu, Susie in Gabon, Tai in Kaoh Rong and Sarah in Game Changers. I think that the first three are gonna be on the top 5, and that one of the last three is gonna be cut.

Fincher flip episode was so amazing I think it should be higher
Penner's flip had more to it than betraying 2 tribes for the hell of it. He was in a bad spot. Raro was up 6-4 to Aitu, and Penner was on the bottom of both tribes. Either way, everyone hated him and he wasn't winning at FTC in any circumstance. If he had gone with Raro and flushed Yul's idol, Raro was still up 5-4 at the next council; they can pagong Aitu and cruise to the end (perhaps with the exception of Ozzy who went on his immunity streak). Penner realized this, and since he wasn't going to win either way, he went with the Aitu 4 because he would rather have one of them win. At that point, it was like picking the lesser of 2 evils I guess.
I genuinely don't understand when someone says flippers never win, I can think of 3 examples of flippers who won without even trying

If Kass hadn't flipped, Sarah absolutely would have had them vote her out as soon as possible. She had it out for her. Also, not having to listen to Sarah after that was a huge bonus

I'm hoping Rob Cesternino original strategy of flip to advance as much as you can will make the list. While Marquesas created the first power shift ever, Amazon really established flipping correctly (and indecisively in Christy's case).
I agree with you so much that Trish is such an underrated player, but she isn't underrated to the producers. She was asked back for Game Changers but Declined.
Great video, I still don't understand what Cochran was doing, I still believe that he was playing to return because he knew he didn't have a chance at that point, like he knew who Upolu were targeting so there was little fear of rocks and even then he could've asked Savaii for the idol, I wish he got voted off premerge instead of Elyse to be honest.
Cochran didn't need to go to rocks. They had an immunity idol and he knew where all the votes were falling. He's flipping was out of spite for his own tribe and has nothing to do with being a game move.

Kass was fourth in NuAparri behind Sarah-Tash-Spencer and then she finished third after flipping. I think she made the right move. Tony wasn't coming for her at any time, people wanted to take her to the end. Now you could say her win probability was higher with NuAparri but she *has* to win Immunity at four to stay in. Sarah did replace her, there's enough evidence of that in the edit and from postseason testimony. She was very popular within that alliance.
Correction: she has to win immunity at three AND four. F2 makes a F4 alliance much weaker. She was in a *not great* position in that alliance.

Damn I was gonna make a joke about woo’s backflips but he beat me to it
In John's defense Shambo is what tied it up. Her flipping forced him to do a rock draw or to flip as well. It was still a dumb move, but he was probably thinking Brett or Dave would get voted out before he did.
I agree Penner should have flushed the idol and then flipped the very next vote. People were going to pissed at him either way. Perhaps he was scared that the Aitu 4 would get someone else to jump ship and take his spot if he didn't.
Skupin wasn't going to get the votes from his tribe anyway so I don't blame him for flipping. By doing so he gained favor with the other players. His big mistake was taking Malcolm and Denise to the final 4 instead of taking Abi to the final 3 with him.
Cochran should have stayed loyal. I would say this was an even dumber move than Kass. While she didn't have any relationships on the other tribe either, Kass was at least playing in a game that had multiple swaps and different voting blocks. She set herself to be a possible swing vote at every tribal council. Cochran simply burned bridges and through his game into Coach's hands.
Wow Kass only at #6? Kass burned too many bridges in this case. Had she been like Tony and flipped multiple times I think people wouldn't have minded her flip this much at the end of the game, but she continued to vote against her old alliance and became simply known as a traitor rather than a strategic player. Glad to see you give Trish credit. People love to give Tony all the credit, but Trish was responsible for many of the moves.
PS: Speaking of Cochran, that should have been in the top five. Because of that flip, or, rather, because Coach (praise be to the cult leader) convinced him to flip, Savaii was totally decimated. That was a very impactful move! Haha...Coach is my favourite player ever and he's smarter than a Harvard grad. Bam. Mind, like I say, I do like Cochran.
