Had Rob's Villains Alliance taken out Russell then Parvati they would most likely run the game since their tribe cohesion was miles better than the Heroes. Then the post-merge I'm not even going to attempt a scenario since there's just too many variables to consider so I'll just leave it at that.

I totally agree. I loved Marquesas. Such a good season. Loved the cast. Loved the final two. I think Vecepia was a great winner (she overcame 7-2 odds). People hate on Marquesas but I loved it.
Brad Culpepper trying to strong arm Tai, Michele voting out Yul instead of Wendell (shes since said it ruined her game on RHAP), Jon Misch turning on Jeremy (Which made Natalie engage Kill Bill mode), Nick puts a disadvantage on Ben so Michele wins immunity so Nick gets boot, All of Galoo taking out Eric which causes an Idol to come back in play for Russell to find and decide the endgame of Samoa, Wills flip on Zeke which gets him immediately taken out next,
One of the most underrated flips to me is Michele and Julia flipping on the original Beauty and Brawn alliance. I think that move actually allowed Michele to win.

Just watched “Marqueses “ last week. Ah, the old days of my favorite show of all time. Imagine, there used to be full episodes of a season without alliances or hidden idols. “Camp life” used to actually count in Tribal Council
so recently i’ve been watching a lot of chelsea’s secrets scenes and unaired confessionals from ghost island, and it sucks that she doesn’t get screentime because she is strategic and does have her head in the game. her edit is horrible but she’s not.. 2 immunities and only 3 confessionals? it’s not fair on her. that made me think what about a top 5 potential players ruined by a bad edit? or something like that
I agree that on paper the fall of the Rotu 4 isn't such a crazy or out of the ordinary flip and that the context of Survivor up to that point does a whole lot to enhance it...but even ignoring the context what makes that flip so good is the richness of the characters.
Also noteworthy is that the fall of the Rotu 4 is the first time when those at the bottom realized that they could take the power away from the dominant alliance
Great video as always. The Marquesas flip is trully iconic and deserves that number 1 spot. I also loved those Sarah and Tina mentions. Tina dominated that season and deserves much more atention.
I am waiting for the video of classic Survivor elements which are missing in modern seasons (like schoolyard pick or challenges revealing the order in an alliance ;)

I agree with #1. That arrogant foursome really annoyed me! Especially John! I will always remember the day after that tribal & they were singing "Can you feel a brand new day..!" That was my favorite happy moment on ANY season of Survivor!
I was pleasantly surprised by this video, because I was fully expecting Kass or Cochran to be number 1, but you really proved wrong everyone who claims that old school Survivor is boring by posting great examples of how seasons without idols aren't always straight Pagongings, and do display great amounts of strategy

Really, if there's only around two or three other examples that don't quite make the cut for a video, you can easily slide them in but if it's a whole bunch then I probably wouldn't bother.. you're always gonna miss someone / something and get told about it! I think Kimmi Kappenberg flipping on Jeremy on Survivor Cambodia. She was with him at Bayan for her entire 36 days, but I think it was a wise move on her part, I just think she may have picked the timing wrong....but to me, that was a huge flip. She doesn't seem to get the credit she rightly deserves from that season.
In her original season, Ciera was the one who was naive and on her second season she became the one to move people the way that guy did to her on her original season.
Tbh Rob C flipping on Alex was no biggie. Alex said that he’d vote for Rob at the final 4, so Rob voting for Alex got him at least to the final 3. If he didn’t flip he would have only made it to final 4 at best

It was kind of implied in that episode but I think Neleh and Pascal told the Rotu 4 that they were flipping on them. Maybe Zoe just tried to abandon that sinking ship so she didn't have to be voted out first among her alliance.
Ciera's move will NEVER EVER be a good or brave move to me because she had the opportunity to flip on Tyson and Gerv when Hayden and whatshisface were pitching the idea to her an episode before. Ciera decides to go and tell Tyson and the gang, which gives Tyson (who was feeling pretty cozy) yet another chance to puppeteer the rest of cast into his bidding. Great move Ciera.
If you think about it Ciera didn’t make a big move, Hayden did. Hayden convinced her to flip. Had he not, Ciera would have blindly voted out Hayden and gone out at four. She’s given too much credit for this when in reality Hayden was the hero that night.
