Picked up a 228i XDrive covertable this summer (2021) with only 22k miles on it and it has been wonderful to tool around Chicago's western burbs....handles great, fun and still looks awesome when compared to the new models. And yes, I use my CD player.
This car uses the N20 motor. The motor that current and newer BMWs as well as the base supra use is the B48. The 230i (from 2016 onwards) came with the B48. The N20 is fine stock but the B48 is far more stout as it’s closed deck.
I got myself a 228i and man it is plenty quick for the roads and handling is great for a little coupe, if you still want more speed I’d get a 235i/240i but man you’ll go straight to jail if pulled over in that thing.
@@ultraspeedy4911 take this from somebody who couldn’t afford an M2 when I got my 228i, just wait and save up till you can afford it. I love the 228i nothing wrong about this car that only con is that it’s not a 228i. The M2 is the 228i but just better. I’m about to have my 228i for a year and am looking into selling it so I can buy an M2

Kunle F22 was about mention that too

Not only the Audi TT has AWD but also the A5/S5/RS5 (and R8 but I’m not counting it since it’s a high end lol)
mazda 3: heated seat, but manually controlled, same on the mx5 and citroen c5 and Suzuki Swift...
Is this a much younger Jack Black (Dewey Finn) from School of Rock? :D
the RWD version of this car is a secret drift toy
Any experience in snow with it by chance?
@@georgeniculescu8241 yea its not bad you just have to be careful and get good tires...
Guys please listening to this man just save up and get an M2 for your own sake
also the m2 is wayy more expensive. So if someone is looking at a 228i there is prob a budget
reason lmao
After having a 228i for half a year don’t get a 228i or an m235i/240i just get an M2
An m2 is like 15k difference
@@henryquevlogsss2108 worth it trust me
What if budget is an issue and an 228i is all you can afford reasonably? Is it really still that bad

@@ultraspeedy4911 It's a quick car and handles great. Buy one for yourself if you want a fun daily that saves money on fuel.
