    I have both. The scribe is amazing but sometimes you need something smaller and more portable.

    Amazon's biggest mistake imo is keeping Oasis and not launching a 7.8 inch Kindle, with writing on the screen, and with the same price as Oasis.

      @goodereader  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was a mistake. 6.8 in, not 7.8. but yes, it was a silly move of theirs to essentially abandon the Oasis

      @@goodereader Yes, that's what I said. It has the 6, 6.8 Kindle, the 7 Oasis and the 10.2 Scribe. Several manufacturers have the 7.8 inch which is a great size and a good price. The difference between PW 6.8 and Oasis is very small, it doesn't justify buying Oasis. Then a 7.8 with a stylus pen would be very good, just ereader and stylus. And I would stop with Oasis. What do you think ?

    I have both. I mainly use the Scribe because of its larger size. I hold it in a case with a pocket on the front cover, and I use this pocket to help me hold it. I have a video on my own channel comparing this case with a couple others. I use the PW5 on my exercise bike, because it's about the same size as the bike's display panel, which I use as an ereader stand instead of for its original purpose, as batteries leaked in it years ago, making it no longer useful as an activity monitor, and I use a fitness-tracking watch for that instead. While it's not a natural ereader stand, I strap my PW5 to it with some Velcro looped through its case's strap.

    And almost ten minutes later I still don't know how these two devices compare.
    Is the backlight as good? Is one of them faster/snappier? Do they have auto-rotate? How well does the ambient light sensor work in both units?
    Not a very in-depth video.

    I used Voyage for 8 years and it was much better than anything before (Kobo, Barnes&Noble, Pocketbook etc). But now ordered Scribe just because want a larger screen. My vision deteriorated and big fonts leave very few space for text. I don't need notes and believe that additional layer makes screen worse than in other present models even with the same 300 ppi density. But unfortunately there is no choice. Everything bigger than 7'8 are tablets((

    I don’t read books, so I would be more likely to go for the Scribe. Having said that, I don’t do note taking much either.

      It depends on how fast you read. If you practice speed reading, smaller ereaders become tiring because you have to change pages very often. Perfect ereaders imo are the ones with 7.8 inches
