Make a device with features of Pomera with a keyboard of Freewrite, but with a front-lit e-ink display covering the entire width of the front panel and take my money.
Awesome video! Does the US key layout put the apostrophe (') and quote (") buttons in the correct place? I think I can see the sticker for the apostrophe, but the quote button next to it has a small ENTER sticker on it. I'm touch typing a novel with a lot of dialogue, and the DM250 looks perfect if the layout is mapped well. Thanks!
The ANSI layout has " and ' on the same key and so does the DM250, except of course DM250 has one more buttons in each rows. Overall the layout is "fine" and usable. I wouldn't call it joy to type, but also I wouldn't call it horrible. Kudos to KingJim for still making these. I go to Japan often and I had NEVER saw one being used in real life, so even in Japan it is niche product. I may do a better video some day comparing it to other things, like alphasmart and fusion writer.
Just discovered this place ✨ (was looking for Force vids) and I quite intrigued by the artistic depth of your content ..You have definitely achieved a level of making reviews an art form I've not encountered out there in zombielsnd. It's like seeing a new color for first time compared to the bernaysian, affiliate rooted, bang em out as fast as you can, gold rush reviews that have ambiguously infected yt over the years (always in jest of course lol) This typing thingy, can it accept an external keyboard and why is the editing so much better can you give me examples? luv occulted gear outside the mainstream spotlight of influence
I have The Pomera DM 30 wish can also chance the language to english and I love that devise. I also like this devise but its so expensive in comparison.
Hi. I live in India and use iOS. The app pomera link was not available on my App Store here. Any idea what I can do? Can I scan the QR code using just the camera as is usual for iphones? If not, how do I get the app?
They were sold out so fast in Japan so you couldn't even purchase it there either... Like really, nobody cares about pomera in Japan, I had never seen anybody using it in real life, but they release white or transparent and are sold out within minutes. Go figure that out.
I have the DM100 and, in my opinion, updating to the DM250 or the Traveller is not worth it. If money isn't and issue and if you write a lot, the Freewrite Smart Typewriter is probably the way to go.

Same here! The Freewrite folks insisted on omitting an SD card slot and forcing users to upload to the cloud. A disaster.
Thank you so much for this. I just got mine today and was baffled by the Alt/input Romanji toggle. :)
Where did you buy yours from? I REALLY need one 🥺
@@karenannoyed153 Wafuu Japan - I had no problems with them.

Hi. Does the pomera 250 support other languages such as Spanish? Thanks

Give me one of the Pomeras any day! The Freewrite tethers writers to "the cloud"! NO THANKS!
Preaching to the choir, mate.
I thought you could hook the Freewrite directly to your computer and transfer info to it without reliance on the Cloud. Am I right about that?
@@birdieh1716I’m pretty sure you can. I have the Hemingwrite and remember reading that in the user manual. Haven’t tried it yet though.
I wish I could purchase a white one here in the states

No, THE ultimate tool for writers is the Alphasmart NEO2. You NEVER want to be tied to the Internet. Never.
Looks like a Nintendo DS.
